Poor Advise - Incomplete order - spare parts not available

I would not recommend their paddle boards. I recently purchased two boards for my 13 year old and 10 year old. The boards arrived next day, BUT pin was missing for one of the fins. I emailed company for replacement and was told don't really need it in a email but I can buy one for £1.15 and gave me link - but unfortunately they sold out. I guess this why sent me incomplete board - all thwir safety literature states must use pin and the fin is important for stability and direction - so fin important for safety and remember these products going to be used by children! Aquapantsports advise was dont worry do dont really need it - use the board without it. On our first secession we lost the fin. So pin was important!!!!. I tried to buy replacement fin but their website states told out and cant supply them with no lead time - so makes their product unusable until they come back into stock - I emailed company but not had response as yet, but I guess can take a few days. So may advise avoid this product, if cant buy replacement parts its a poor value and poor deal and not sure their advise can be trusted either, we followed it and I feel let down and whole experience been total waste of money and ruining our weekend because cant use of boards safely - lead time for replacement fin is unknown. I tried buying universal one but most boards 9in and this board in 8in and cant seem find a replacement because not standard size fitting. AVOID AVOID

I am ever so sorry to hear that you have lost your fin on the first outing. When you got in touch with us to let us know the locking pin was missing on arrival, we explained that most of the time this is not needed due to the way that it fits into the fin box tightly, and the fact that you would need to be going backwards to knock this out. We were not able to send out a replacement for you as we do not have stock, this is arriving shortly. Instead, we provided you a link to find these to be purchased from other retailers.

The SUP can be paddled without a fin, but we gave advice on where you could get this missing part should you feel more secure in locking it in.

Please do check in your spam/junk folder, as we have replied to you earlier email, addressing the points you have raised.

I am sorry that you have felt the need to post this review, as we have tried our best to help you out to get you on the water without delay.

There are many options to purchase slide in SUP fins from other retailers, You just need to check the base (slide in section) measurement. I think the measurement you are referring to may be the length of the fin.

Happy Paddler

I’m so happy with my new paddle board. Amazing guidance on which is the right one to get (because it matters). My board arrived quickly and I was on the water by the weekend. Great ‘how to’ videos, and ideas on where to paddle board too. Aquaplanet was recommended to me and I can highly recommend them too. 😊

Absolutely phenomenal customer service…

Absolutely phenomenal customer service from Sarah at Aquaplanet. I made a mistake with my order, reached out to customer services and they were not only incredibly helpful, but resolved the issue the following day.

Amazing value for money, really lovely quality boards for the price and lifetime of experiences to share with my kids .

From the moment I decided to buy a SUP…

From the moment I decided to buy a SUP from Aquaplanet, things were straightforward, once I placed my order, l received a confirmation Email and was kept up to date on the delivery process and received delivery within 2 days,once I received my SUP, l also received plenty of Emails with advice on how to use my board and get the best out of it.

Poor post-purchase care

Unfortunately, a manufacturing fault has caused air to leak from the seams of my Pace board, leaving it completely unusable — despite it being well looked after and barely used.

I reached out to Aqua Planet for support, but was simply passed on to another company and advised to pay out of pocket for repairs, as it’s outside their rather limited one-year warranty.

It’s disappointing to see that their promise of ‘aftercare’ seems to stop short of actually caring when something goes wrong.

We do our best to provide advice and support where we can post purchase, we have been in touch with you to ask if you would like advice from our product team on how to complete the repair. We do provide a 1-year warranty with our products, however, your purchase was made in 2022, and we have explained why we cannot provide replacements after the warranty period.

With any product, materials it is made from do degrade over time, regardless of how much use a product has. I am very sorry that you have seen an issue with your SUP and I do hope that we can help you repair it so you can continue to use it.

After using the online feature which…

After using the online feature which helped us choose a paddle board we placed our order. It was delivered a couple of days later, well packaged and everything as ordered. We inflated the board to check all was good, and it was before we try it out in a couple of weeks time. Very happy with our purchase.

Fantastic board, I bought it for our local beach Porth which turns into a big swimming pool at high tide. Arrived quickly and set up was easy.

Roof rack caused a cracked windscreen

I used the roof rack to transport a kayak. After loading I got in the car and before driving off noticed a huge new crack down my windscreen.

Contacted customer support, I highlighted the fact that one of the inflatable tubes slowly deflated each time, sent photos of the damage. It seems the deflating bar is expected because this was the reply from customer service.

“I am sorry to hear of the damage to your windscreen. With the details you have provided we are unable to establish that there is any fault with the Roof Rack product that you have purchased from us.

We will not be able to offer any compensation.”

I wouldn’t recommend this product or this company.

I am sorry that you are unhappy with the Roof Rack and that you have suffered some damage to your windscreen. The Roof Rack does not attach to the car near the windscreen so we are unsure how this can be the cause of damage. The 'bars' are self inflating, but also have a valve cap that is screwed on to prevent air escaping, or can be used to add extra air. If you saw that one of the 'bars' was deflating, maybe the cap was not fully tightened? As with any product, it is your responsibility to check that it is installed correctly and that any items you are fitting to carry are securely held in place. You have not been able to provide us with any details other than a picture of your cracked windscreen to show that there has been any fault with the product we have supplied. Your justification being that there was no crack before you attached the roof rack, and after there was. We do review all reports of faulty items fully and unfortunately, the details you gave us, have not been able to show that there is any fault with the item and that this has then led to the damage you have seen.

Easy ordering and helpful advice

I haven’t used my rainbow paddle board yet, but I am looking forward to getting out there.
Great ordering experience, easy to find the board I wanted for a beginner/intermediate. Love the different colour options. I have been looking for a while, but the offer of getting an electric pump for free prompted me to buy now.

I also like aquaplanet’s after sales content, with the safety videos and advice.

Update: I’ve since used the board a number of times. It’s well made and has been easy to inflate and deflate. It is a bit unstable however…doesn’t feel as solid as some of the other boards I’ve tried. I’ve now bought a second board from a different supplier and it’s much more stable in the water…single fin, more pointed nose and flattened back edge.
I’m sure aquaplanet do similar. Difficult to know what a board is going to feel like when you are buying on line though.

Great board, great service – couldn’t be happier!

Terrible customer service

Bought a kayak. Kayak is great, bag it came in ripped on first use and then after one beach trip, I kept it inside. Went back to use it and the zips had corroded and disintegrated. I complained. was told it was my fault. Issue of rip not even talked about. A water sports bag that takes one trip to the beach and corrodes! I have emailed now 3 times to discuss and have received no reply. Really disappointing and rude. I’ve not been unreasonable at all and would appreciate a reply and not to be blamed for the quality of your product.

Thanks for taking the time to leave a review. Sorry to hear that you have not been receiving our emails. We have replied promptly each time you have been in touch, so we can only think these are being filtered to a junk or spam folder.

We have apologised that you have found that the zips have corroded. We explained that when using the Kayak at sea, it will be exposed to salt air, and as such would need to be cleaned and protected when used in that environment. The damage you have seen on the zips is a result of this not being cleaned sufficiently before it has been stored. With regards the rip on the bag, you state that this happened on the first use, but you did not get in touch with us at the time to report it. Instead, you have now mentioned this after your warranty has expired. It is very unusual for the bag to rip as these are made from heavy duty polyester material. We do not hold spares as replacements, so we are not able to send another for you. We are sorry for your experience, but we have been trying to reach you on email.

The box had been wet in storage for…

The box had been wet in storage for some time which meant the box had mould and got all over the paddle board and the paperwork had stuck to the fin and also the box had been crushed which meant to fins had also been pushed outwards and aren’t straight now

I can see that we have since been in touch with your directly to address the concerns about the outer packaging and how the product has arrived with you.

I understand that you have been able to inflate the SUP and found no issue with the product itself, so I am happy that you are able to go ahead and make the most of your purchase. The fixed fins that were bent on arrival - this is common, as they are folded inside the board when packed and stored. These are made from a memory plastic so can easily be returned to the right shape / position by applying some heat, and using your hands to where they should be.

Ordered the wilderness SUP

Ordered the wilderness SUP after trying out a friend's. It's a great crossover for moving water and day trips. Ordered on the Friday with free delivery on Monday but also courier delivery for Monday at an additional cost. I paid the additional cost but the SUP did not turn up til Wednesday. Aquaplanet refunded my delivery fee as an act of "goodwill".
Aquaplanet.. if you don't deliver over weekends and bank hols then please don't advertise that you do 😐

I am sorry for any confusion about delivery times. We do state in our Delivery information that we do only process orders Monday to Friday and that we are closed on Weekends.

Very dissapointed with both quality and…

Very dissapointed with both quality and customer service. I chose this company because they offered warranty,I paid £100 more than similar product on amazon for the benefit. However the fin was so flimsy and cheaply made that it snaped on the very 1st use. This is NOT normal for the fin to snap that easily as we have another SUP which we are using for over 2 years and it's still going strong! When I contacted the company they said that "accidental demage" is not covered by the warranty, but it's obvious that it is a manufacturer's fault and the SUP is simply not built for the purpose, the quality is very poor! It should not be breaking from such minor use! If you buy a chair and a leg snaps off the very 1st time you sit on it - is that an accidental demage or a manufactures fault?? Overall very disapointed! Just stick to amazon guys, they would deffinitly replace or refund in this scenario. This company doesn't care if thir product is bad, their waranty is worthless as they would claim anything on "accidental demage" even one of pain parts snaping on 1st use!

We do state in our warranty that broken fins are not covered as these are vulnerable parts of the paddleboard, which can easily be knocked and broken through use. As a gesture of goodwill, I can see that our team did indeed send our a replacement fin for you
