Deed of variation of Lease
I had a great experience with Shannon in the Legal Department with a Deed of variation which was required for a solar panel lease. As a Conveyancer, this is something you usually dread if a lease needs varying in accordance with new mortgage requirements, however this time it was easy and very quick to do and the deed was even registered before the client's sale was ready to proceed. Adam was very thorough and explained everything we needed to know. Installed a new piece of equipment as the previous part was faulty which makes the panels more efficient and will improve the panels energy generation. Provided us with really useful tips to save money and how to really benefit from the solar panels. 10/10.

ASG - Lack of regards for customers
If I could give zero I would, we had solar installed by this company in 2015, they damaged the roof of a new house, we informed them, they said it would be sorted out, they never have, we have water coming through the roof, they now say its wear ane tear, the other 200 houses on our estate have zero roof issues, the north facing part of our roof has zero issues, the only side with issues and where bits of the solar system has broken tiles and damaged the waterproof membrane is where the solar panels have been very badly installed. I have had a professional roofing company round and they have written a report and provided costs to fix the entire roof, I have proof beyond reasonable doubt ASG caused the damage and will be claiming all the costs back from them in court. Their inverter is below where water comes through, the inverter and system has never been maintained or inspected in 11 years, this was isolated due to the dangers it posed, they sent threatening letters demanding it be turned on immediately, quoted clauses in a contract we have never seen, sent instructions for a child to power the system up as I am unable due to ongoing medical issues. They told us we would have to pay for the inspection of their equipment, I refused. They sent an engineer eventually after 5 months, he tested the system and turned it on, when I mentioned a funny smell, he went back to the Inverter in the loft and found a burnt out connector, this had the potential to set fire to our entire house at any time, we have children in our property, an solar engineer that failed to spot something so obvious and they say they have checked the competencies of their employees. ABSOLUTE COWBOYS, ARE ONLY INTERESTED IN MAKING MONEY FROM FIT PAYMENTS AND LEAVING DANGEROUS UN-CHECKED SYSTEMS.

The engineer arrived as arranged, he was friendly and got straight on with the task in hand. Once the repair was completed he said his goodbyes in a friendly manner and was gone.
