The process of transferring from my exisiting bank loan to Athena was an absolute breeze. I could complete most of it through an app or online. If I had any trouble with anything the team at Athena made it easy to contact them and your call would be returned very shortly after. I would definately recommend Athena home loans.

Athena’s customer service is excellent. No/minimal wait times to talk to knowledgeable and professional staff has made everything easier.

Android app is "not available for any of your devices" and logging in seems to require 1 - 3 SMS PIN codes (depending on the day), but otherwise great to deal with.

Fast online application, no paperwork, high tech, best rates

Everything was very good and Athena did take care of everything, I just struggled a little bit putting all the required docs together, I wonder if an agent on the ground would have made that part a bit easier and I might have got all the docs submitted quicker. In the end it was a very good process and everything happened exactly how Athena said it would and no drama.

Easiest loan and refinance process I have ever encountered!

The Athena team made the process easy to apply. The team were friendly and helpful.
The only part of the process that needs to be looked at is when uploading birth certificates, you can only choose a State from Australia. Athena needs to add another option of "Other" for people who are born outside of Australia.

It took almost 7 months to set up my Mortgage account with Athena. One reason given because of COVID & they are so busy, as everybody wanted to get onto Athena's rates. I then changed jobs, so that set things back again.
I have only just received an email to say I'm up & running, but I don't really know my rate yet, as the Reserve Bank keeps changing the rate weekly it seems.
So I haven't made my first payment yet.

The application process for Athena was very simple and easy. Their staff were all extremely helpful and easy to get in touch with if you needed any help. They also gave regular email and text updates on the status of the application, which was great. They are also very upfront with any terms and conditions, fees and charges, not that there are any fees, which is awesome.
