Our objective was to explore several options, outright sale, inward investment or management buyout.
Benchmark analysed our business, prepared a complete marketing plan, reconfigured our financial projections and prepared us for sale.
Benchmark exceeded our expectations and introduced our business to twelve potential suitors, and I felt that they vetted each opportunity and diligently managed the process.
James personally chaired these meetings and impressed us with his foresight, imagination and in-depth knowledge.
We concluded this process with a positive result and have subsequently doubled the size of our operation.

Multiple spam emails. As per last review, so counterproductive as we would never consider using them after so much spam even if they were a good company! Maybe they should review their policy to bombard with spam.

I met with Adam Palmer with a view of selling my social care company.
Within one month they had put together the IM and our first meeting with a prospective purchaser was within the first month.
Both James Sloane and Roger Forshaw worked diligently to organise meetings and push the deal along.
Unfortunately, Covid 19 had other ideas and paused the sale for a period of time.
As Covid settled down, we recommenced our negotiations with our preferred purchaser and completed the deal.
Well done both of you for your diligence and professionalism it has been a pleasure working with you both - I shall miss the calls!!!

Benchmark were very good at assessing and judging the process and expected timelines for a process in which we had not been as heavily involved previously.
Jonathon Parkinson was very professional throughout and was a wise advocate during a challenging process.

Great, if you like being contacted out of the blue by a droning Mancunian who won't take no for an answer.
Send unsolicited emails, make phone calls out of the blue, despite being told we are not interested
They challenged this review as fake until i provided proof.
They continue to write to my email address, but using the name of a former director who is now deceased.

It was bit of a journey finding the right buyer for the business, but benchmark managed to find the perfect fit in the end. The team were fantastic and professional throughout and a special credit to our account manager Roger Forshaw for his efforts.

We appointed Benchmark International to help us find the best possible buyer for our business. They took the time to understand our business and what made us stand out from the competition so that when they marketed us to potentially interested parties they understood when we rejected a number of unsuitable companies.
Once we narrowed the field down to around 12 companies that we decided to speak with we were guided by James Robinson, a Director who stayed the course with us throughout the process and helped us negotiate the best possible terms for the sale. We achieved a sale price at the very top end of the market but equally importantly found the right company to deliver on our two other key objectives of being right for our clients and right for our staff.
Everyone we had dealings with at Benchmark were professional, informed and demonstrated they had our best interests at heart. We only work with people we like, trust and respect and James ticked all three boxes for us throughout the process. He was helpful and responsive throughout.

Although we had previously dealt with another broker for a period of three years without any success we were recommended to engage with Benchmark.
Our initial meeting was in early 2018 and from the start we found Benchmark to be extremely professional and accommodating and in May 2018 signed an agreement for the sale of North West Roller Services Ltd.
You may say what a time to sell a business in uncertain times with the onslaught of Brexit and then Covid 19 what chance do you have to secure a business sale.
I must admit from the start after entertaining many interested purchasers James Robinson secured an interested party and led us by the hand through what was in our opinion a traumatic due diligence to finalise a successful sale on 06 April 2021.
May we thank James and all colleagues for their assistance in maximising the full potential of our business sale after thirty one years in business.

Over the years many colleagues and contemporaries voiced strongly that brokers were not to be trusted and that they would take your money and push you into the first offer even if it wasn't a fit for your business.
I might have agreed until I tentatively picked up the phone to Benchmark with trepidation to enquire about the process. From the first discussion with Tony Yerbury, I knew I was in excellent hands and if I was going to choose to use a broker to sell my business it was going to be Benchmark.
Which I did in September 2020. By the October we had agreed the Information Memorandum and Benchmark were exploring multiple potential suitable organisations. By the end of November 20 plus organisations had shown an interest and of that I’d chosen 8 to progress with. By mid-December we had received 7 offers culminating with accepting an offer by Christmas eve.
Every step of the way the Benchmark team comprising of the bright, positive and proactive Erica Skitrall alongside her colleagues Andrew Roberts and Jonathan Parkinson who are both consummate professionals and expert advisors were by my side making sure that the negotiation was completed in the most fair and equitable way for my business to go on its next journey. By the 1st week of March 2021 following a short sharp but intensive due diligence process the business sale was completed. if I had ever doubted using a broker, I am a convert, and if you are wavering to use a broker reach out to Benchmark first. I can't recommend them highly enough.

From our initial payment Benchmark maintained a profile of the Company in the marketplace over a sustained period of time, leading us through various approaches from interested parties until we finally completed with a party we were comfortable with, who secured the future of all the staff, and had the finance to take the Company to the next level.
