I’m a start-up customer
I’m a start-up customer, and I’m glad I chose Bookvault as my POD printer. They were responsive and informative with my beginner questions, and my first “proof” printing went flawlessly. The print quality was excellent and the cover was beautiful. Then, when a complex technical issue developed relating to computer instructions for the printing of my book cover, Arron Lovett of Bookvault customer service wasted no time or effort to resolve the issue. He again was responsive, patient, and made sure the covers with errors were replaced on a timely basis. My newly printed books meet all my expectations, and I now have confidence to push ahead with my book marketing.

My experience with Bookvault has been a learning experience and I'm glad that I took the plunge. The online system may not be the most modern and intuitive, but it works. I'm sure this helps with keeping prices low, which I am absolutely in support of. They were clear about the printing and shipping time estimates and delivery was in the window they clearly specified, so for a print on demand company with years of experience and lots of repeat customers, I'm going to give Bookvault a thumbs up. I worked with Kayleigh, who communicated well and was very helpful. She answered all my questions, and was patient with me, even through my relative ignorance about how their system worked at first, as I'm new to the book-authoring and publishing process. I will say this...I would recommend Bookvault to other self-publishers who are conscious of cost and want a dependable system. I'm going to stay onboard for the foreseeable future and have appreciated the service and transparency regarding what to expect.

The quality is amazing
I've been using bookvault for almost a year and not only is the quality of these books amazing but the customer support team is as well. Kayleigh in particular always goes above and beyond anytime a issue arises and I'm so grateful for her timely responses and her kindness anytime we speak as well. She is always eager to help and solve the problem at hand. I cannot recommend bookvault enough.
Excellent books and excellent customer service
I've been working with BookVault for more than a year now and the quality of the products is excellent. As well, when there is a problem, they've been really helpful and prompt. Most recently, the customer service rep, Arron Lovett, helped me sort out several issues with a couple of orders. All very easy and straight forward. Really enjoy working with BookVault.
If you're a newbie to the indie author…
If you're a newbie to the indie author and book printing world, in my opinion, Bookvault.app is a good place to start.
Their dashboard is straightforward and intuitive. But, it can take time to get your head around where things are and what they mean. Example, 'endpapers.' To understand what this was, where to find it and decide whether I wanted it, I had to contact Support.
You receive an email straightaway that promises you a response in one to two days. To date, they've kept that promise. I also had, and continue to have specific requirements about where my books should be distributed. They have so far always been compliant with my requests. And, every time, they provide service in a friendly, efficient and patient manner.
Helpful when dealing with difficult issues.
While Bookvault is not set up to respond quickly to inquiries (especially on weekends and holidays), their representatives do give excellent service. I've been helped by both Kayleigh and Arron and have been pleased with both. Arron has guided me through several difficult roadblocks as I've navigated the process of setting up my books for printing, ordering copies, and hopefully soon releasing them to the public. The process is not intuitive, and their assistance has been invaluable. I'm grateful for their help.

BookVault is a great POD service that has helped bring my books to life and allowed me to get my books into bookstores with their quality printing. Aaron has been helpful with any teething problems I've experienced, too.
Customer Service Like This Is Rare These Days
The customer service with Bookvault is outstanding.
It makes a change to actually interact with proper humans these days - it's a personal service which are few and far between these days with the likes of Amazon, etc. which are becoming more faceless!
All online enquiries has been dealt promptly by Kayleigh.
Bookvault go one step further and provide a free video call service which I used for support on integrating my book with Shopify and other distribution channels. Huge shoutout to Curtis Argrave - he was amazing. He clearly knew his stuff.
He was super patient with me and went above and beyond to ensure everything was set up correctly, doing checks along the way. He could not have been any more helpful.
This level of customer service is unique these days - well done team bookvault....now I just have to sell the book!!
I don’t like giving negative feedback
I don’t like giving negative feedback, and perhaps my case was just bad luck, but unfortunately my experience with Bookvault has been disappointing.
I ordered a sample proof on December 10 and, as of today, I still haven’t received it. I contacted customer support several times asking for help, but the only reply I received was “it is in transit.” While I understand that delays can happen, the real issue for me was the lack of concrete assistance or follow-up.
Even an answer such as “you were unlucky, please place another order” would have been acceptable. What I missed most was clearer communication.
I hope this feedback can be taken constructively, and I would be happy to update this review if the issue is resolved or if communication improves.
16.1.2027 Update: the book finally arrived. Its quality is very good. I had to pay other 12 euros for "right". I see that the problem is not from BV. They should improve delivery. Thanks to Mr. Kayleigh for the help.

I needed some changes made in the Great British Bookshop that I couldn't figure out on my own. I contacted BookVault about it, and the very next day the problem was fixed. Thank you Kayleigh!

Bookvault is growing fast and experiencing some growing pains, so sometimes they get things wrong, but they work very hard to make things right and never repeat an error. They recently went above and beyond for me, to ensure a customer got an order in time for Christmas, and my customer was absolutely thrilled. The staff are lovely, thank you to Kaleigh, Curtis, Tom, and Aaron are some of the lovely people who have served and cared for me and I'm grateful. Keep up the great work, Bookvault!

Do not rely on Bookvault: extremely high costs, nonexistent distribution, endless delivery times, and awful customer service! Never again!!
I printed and ordered a book and chose the cheapest shipping option because the costs were already very high. This shipping method is untracked.
After three weeks, the package still hasn’t arrived. Customer service doesn’t know where it is, doesn’t know which courier is handling it, and takes no responsibility at all.
If the package gets lost, there is no way to trace it and no possibility of a refund.
Making sure that the items they sell actually reach the customer is clearly not their concern.
I am truly disappointed.
Do not use if you’re not experienced in editing
I’m sure this site is great for those who have a clue about editing and designing. As an indie author this was not the case on my experience. I arranged for a call which I didn’t get the link until ten minutes before the call, which could be improved for customer experience. During the call I was speaking with a lovely lady. I was under the impression that a special edition would be designed for me and asked several times. Once paid and going through the website it was the complete opposite what we had discussed. The company themselves were supportive but when I tried to contact the person who said they would help me. Radio silence. Like any company there is things that could be improved on to make this a better experience for customers. But I was given a credit note very quickly when asked.

Quaility Product, Reliable Support
As an indie author, I use BookVault to print and deliver paperbacks to my readers via my direct buy store. I also purchase them directly for events. The set up and use is intuitive, the quality of the paperbacks is topnotch, and whenever I've run into small glitches (about once a year), customer service response is swift and informative and solves the issue. I use Payhip for my direct buy store and BookVault interfaces cleanly and easily. (For reference, I'm a US-based author).
I've used a ton of different apps and services as an indie author, with mixed results. BookVault works and is well supported and the price is reasonable. Highly recommended.
