Non interested Customer Services

I have bought much of my make up and other face creams etc. from Boots (own brands), as I have some allergies. Unfortunately, I had an allergic reaction to a particular colour in the No.7 eye shadow range, so emailed Customer Services to ask if the "ingredients " had changed. To say they were totally uninterested is an understatement! I don't have the receipt as I bought this a few weeks ago yet it is obviously a Boots product. When I had an issue with another very well known high street shop...and it wasnt even their own brand!.....the item was changed immediately. Boots have lost a customer, but it is obvious they don't care. Not surprised so many stores are closing.

Went to Boots at Bridport for usual…

Went to Boots at Bridport for usual monthly prescription:
1st visit: I was given some packages which I assumed to be all of entitlement. When arrived home discovered that some medications had not been included.
2nd visit: I returned to the store and spoke to same assistant who said that this was the fault of the medical centre as the items not included had not been prescribed. I was advised to return to the medical centre as it was “ their fault”.
At the medical centre I was given a copy of the prescription showing clearly that ALL of the medications HAD been included.
3rd visit: I returned to Boots yet again and produced the copy prescription ( after queueing yet again). The same assistant then realised that it had been her mistake and passed me over to another member of staff who was better equipped to resolve the issue.
4th visit: will be required because there was not enough product available to fill the order.
So in conclusion: After four visits I have to conclude that the staff at Boots Bridport are in need of substantial retraining. Please respond.
Phil Payne customer.

Boots in Wrexham

Boots in Wrexham. I booked for immunisations for my daughter, boots phoned me up and asked me if I could cancel that appointment, and gave me the date for the new one.
I told them it was not possible for me to do that date, and they didn’t want to cancel due to the time scale of the holiday.
Later on in the day just before they closed for the bank holiday, they sent a cancellation through even though I’ve spoken to the pharmacist and she assured me that they had the immunisations available.
They then booked it on the day I had already told the pharmacist I could not do due to having a washing machine repair man out.
I was told that boots in Wrexham, are well known for doing this.
I just wanted to let other people know, to choose a different pharmacy. Boots are not reliable at all I was warned.
I never leave a review, but I do feel on this occasion it is needed. As a warning not to book your immunisations here.
I’m just so glad that I do have the amount of time needed to finish the course, that’s if they don’t cancel again !!!

Housebound and rely on Boots as no other local

Housebound and rely on Boots for delivery., lately delivery is weeks with no communication of when delivery would be. The phone isn't answered for advice..
The prescription folk can be witnessed laughing and joking and ignoring the phone and front desk, there is no team work and the script team clearly believe they are superior and there is a no rush attitude. A very poor example of a Boots store. Ongoing problems but getting worse.

Prescription Plus does not work

Prescription Plus does not work. I used this new offerinf from Boots as I had the ludicrous situation of ordering my prescription from the dispensary at my NHS surgery (online), then driving to collect the paper prescription, duly signed, and taking it to my local Boots, returning 2 days later to collect the actual pills. Prescription Plus promised to shortcut this. In practice, after 5 days, somebody at Boots emailed details of my prescription order, to the dispensary at my surgery, while AT THE SAME TIME emailing me that it was ready to collect at my local Boots. Boots customer services were totally unhelpful, telling me 3 times, to contact my local Boots, who, of course, knew nothing! Comparing notes with the dispensary I found out the reason for the delay. My pills turned up at my local Boots 2 WEEKS after ordering on Prescription Plus.

Logged a complaint against pharmacy head office send back a reply saying my concerns have been escalated with the so called management team concerned about a very abusive and rude staff members and her assistant manager
would like acknowledgement and ultimately an apology so far NOTHING!! What a shame what does that say about the customer care of Boots?
. Voted with my feet plenty of others are too by the look of the reviews.

Boots chemist Witney

Boots chemist Witney- 111 had directed me there after I had run out of medication and tried to manage without. Pharmacist was horrible, berated me for allowing that to happen and for not going into the store prior to running out. I have a huge amount going on mentally and he made me cry. Zero compassion and I withessed him berating 2 others who were after emergency medication. Horrible experience.

BOOTS QUEDGELEY

I am reading so many disgusting things about Boots in Quedgeley, and after today, I believe everything that people are saying!
I have been advised by different pharmacists over the years that I am allowed to have co-codamol tablets twice per month for 2/3 days each time, for my long term disease. I don’t want the stronger ones and these ones work great for me. The pharmacist female who was working today dashed over to me, pre-empted what I was about to buy (when I was actually about to ask her about an order of TCP that I was collecting to begin with) … and then ‘told me off’ in front of an entire queue of people. I am a 49 year old professional woman who has never been spoken to like that by someone behind a counter in my life. She said (very loudly)’I have seen you in here before a few times buying those tablets … so this is your final box … ok!’ I explained to her that I have been told by other pharmacists that I am allowed this medication as frequently as I purchase it (I had checked and it’s not THAT strong) and that I was avoiding stronger medications from the doctors. She shouted ‘NO!’ After I explained this to her … and then proceeded to slam the meds down on the counter and looked almost as though she was taking great delight in attempting to shame me in front of the customers. I mean, it didn’t work (she made herself look terribly unprofessional) as I have nothing to feel any shame about. However, I am a very chilled out yogi and I know how to protect my own energy field … but this was still quite a shocking experience from a shop pharmacist. Anyway … it’s a shame, as I’ve not had that kind of treatment by anyone at that store before. However, it would appear to not be an isolated incident now that I am reading other experiences on here … and I do have witnesses from today too. Maybe the shop lady was having a bad day, but it all could have been dealt with much more professionally, by treating me like a human being. I am sending her love and light and I hope her day improves. I won’t be in to purchase anything ever again (can’t risk that behaviour again) but I still hope that she feels better soon.

Appalling customer service and dismissive pharmacist in Canterbury

My experience involves Boots in Canterbury centre. This was my first time using the NHS prescription service, and I didn’t know how it worked. The doctor prescribed two creams. I paid the NHS prescription fees for the chargeable creams, but when I opened the box, there were three creams.
When I asked the pharmacist to return one of the creams, she initially said no. She told me the reason but I couldn't understand what she meant because I was not familiar with the terminology she used. I explained I only asked for two creams. She then, with a smirk and ironic tone, said I could return the cream and took it, but when I asked for a refund, she said I would not get one.
I was never informed that these creams could have been purchased over-the-counter for less, nor was I given an understandable explanation about the charge, so I ended up paying more than I needed. The problem is not the money — it is the dismissive, ironic attitude and appalling customer service I experienced. Boots needs to ensure staff communicate clearly, treat customers respectfully, and explain the prescription system properly.

Im not impressed

I went into Boots Pride Hill Shrewsbury. The store has gone over to completely self service I asked the assistant on "click and collect" right next to the self service to help me. She was doing nothing. She said "try to do it yourself I will watch She shouted at me to be quicker or it would shut off!"". I went over the road to a competitor and the guy in there said that they had seen a big upsurge in sales since Boots had stopped proper till service. I fear Boots will disappear from the High Street if Management geeks don't buck up their ideas and offer a better standard of customer service.

What a shambles and a complete waste of time.

Today I went to my local boots chemist for a private vaccination that I booked on line via the boots website, only to be told they don't do any vaccinations there. I called head office in the hope they would sort this out so that other unsuspecting customers do not also waste their time. This was likewise a frustrating experience as the people there had no idea this was happening and could not give any reassurance it would be corrected. I called another larger boots chemist nearby to ask if they offer the service, but they had no idea either.

Worst pharmacy ever

They cannot read prescriptions properly. Mine specifies a certain brand only and still they give the prescription with any other brand in. Then they have to order the brand in that I need. This makes many wasted trips. Then for a different prescription which has been discontinued they said will contact my GP and sort it to change it for another one available on the shelf and to leave it with them. They I go back to collect and of course they haven’t bothered to do this and now tell me to contact my GP. Wasting yet more time! Very incompetent staff.

Boots the Chemisy Pharmacy staff are bad for your health!

I am Chronically ill and spend most of my time in bed or Sofa. I had to use my local Boots chemist ( HERNE Bay, Kent) as it was tthe only local chemist that could order my regular Fentanyl Patches.
My previous chemist had a free delivery service, were very kind and friendly and would attempt to deliver on 3 occasions.
Boots charge me £55 annually, which out a strict criteria to qualify; just a need. Payment was also available @ £5 per delivery.
This involves a few phone calls each way, to organise home delivery and at first the staff were kind and helpful.
Omongst other conditions, I have Chronic Fatigue syndrome and wear a CPAP mask , so it was arranged that Boot delivery staff could come into my house and calll out my name to Wake me the often the door bed or phone wouldn’t. This worked great until delivery manager, just stopped coming into my hall, with no explanation. So I missed my medication arriving and often had no current pills, as confusion is a a symptom. One time my carer was taking me out for a meal and we were short of time,so I asked Boots staff, if Icould have an earlier delivery
This week (17th March) Itried to confirm that the deltperson would come into the house. ‘HELEN’ reported that I wasn’t house bout with the inference that I deserve a delivery. I have tried to talk to the other pharmacy staff and now they are all accusing me generally. This was a day I was ill with a temperature and while dosing missed another delivery of fentanyl patches. They knew Ihad none left, but told me ii would have to go without. I was very upset, but was told offfor raising my voice in panic! Luckily my son could collect them, but I’vepaid £55 to bed verbally abused and have my carers struggling to collect prescriptions and do my look after me. They haven even stated that they are in favour of me going to signing up chemist, didtipe the hugeamoubt of business Inring to them from my long list of medication. As Idont know when items are going to be delivered, however I’lli get, I can’t fall asleep in my own house! Have ‘the customer’ in tears every time I need my medica is unacceptable.
