Brummstadt Avis 

I bought an Android head unit for my wife's Nissan Pulsar two years ago as well as an external microphone and more recently a reversing camera. I have required some support for the installation and configuration of all of these, and Kevin and Tommy have been extremely responsive and helpful in solving my issues. I highly recommend the products from Brummstadt as well as the team supporting their customers.

I purchased two head units. One for my parents 2015 Hyundai Ix35, a simple install I completed in 20 minutes. The quality of the head unit and facia is great. Unfortunately the facia for the second unit (2007 Subura Liberty) wasn't an exact match to connect the air conditioning vents, so I decided on a full refund instead of engineering a solution. The service I received from Tommy was first class. I will definitely purchase again when upgrading my wife's car later in the year.

Tommy was very easy to talk to and no matter what I through at him he had a solution for all my problems. honestly some of the best customer service I've ever had. Thanks again Tommy

I purchased a Brummstadt Android wireless Carplay head unit for my 2019 Jeep JLU and received absolute 5-star support from Tommy, Kevin and Patrick. I was struggling with setting up the wiring and connections and Tommy went completely above and beyond. Not only did he walk me through the troubleshooting process step-by-step with incredible patience, but he also supplied additional devices at zero cost to help try and get the unit integrated. The customer service team's responsiveness and product knowledge are truly first-rate. I’ve never experienced this level of after-sales support in the car audio industry. Although this unit eventually did not integrate with my Jeep as promised and I had hoped, Brummstadt refunded my purchase in full. This company, and the people behind it, are highly recommended! I would buy from them again.

The promptness and helpfulness of the support was amazing. The team responded to my emails within a few minutes and this made troubleshooting so easy. They replaced a faulty component without me even asking and at no cost. A rare thing these days.

Quick delivery once I decided on the device. Easy install and took a couple of goes to get the right cables but all good.
After a couple of days it kept cutting out. I contacted support and Kevin got back very quickly. He gave me tips to fix the issue and I got it resolved. Very happy with product and service.

I recently approached Brummstadt about an issue I had with a head unit I had bought from them. I heard back promptly from Patrick J and the Warranty Claim went smoothly. Patrick did a great job of following through with everything, keeping me informed, and ensuring the issue was resolved. My replacement unit is now installed and working fine. The Brummstadt website presents these as premium custom solutions to replace your OEM head unit. That is not the case. These are inexpensive, generic head units straight out of China and you can buy the exact same unit elsewhere for less. The only customisation I can see is the logo on the splash screen, which you can easily change yourself.

Installation is fairly easy if you've done a few car stereos before, if not then good luck to you. I'm sure you'll get it done, I doubt you'll enjoy the experience. Instructions are almost non-existent, the best guides are available on a competitor's website (which is who you should give your money IMO).

The bundled Android launcher is a half finished fever dream. The interface is unintuitive and looks like absolute trash, the apps have weird names, you cannot install anything from the Google Play store, and you cannot side load the APK for an alternative launcher (it just errors).

The HD reversing camera I paid extra for (included free by others I since discovered) wouldn't work. Support was responsive, but ultimately useless. They offered a few suggestions I'd already found online (again, via their competitor's quite excellent FAQ and install guides), some AI drivel, but no actual help. I got the factory camera working on my own through trial and error, but two different aftermarket cameras with two different known good RCA leads and two different known good 12v power sources did not work. When I responded with all this, they kinda just gave up. As it happens I can live with the factory camera, but that's not the point is it. I paid for a HD camera and I paid a premium for "support".

Also the colour of the bezel did not match the car. Like at all. And it's not like I chose the wrong option: there's only one.

Ultimately it does work, it does give an 11 year old vehicle CarPlay, and it does preserve most of the original vehicle functionality. Thus the 2 stars. But, Brummstadt are massively overselling what this is. It is not a high quality piece of equipment, and one look at the packaging and included documentation tells you that. The quality is no better than if you bought something off eBay shipped direct out of China. If they just took 30 minutes and spent $10 to repack and include some proper instructions it would go a pretty long way.

I purchased a head unit and it was very easy to install. I wrongly changed one of the settings and lost use of the dials and buttons. Even though this was totally my fault Kevin and Patrick went out of there way to work out what I had done and came back to me with the solution that worked perfectly to rectify the problem. Honestly the best after purchase service I have ever encountered. Well done guys. You were amazing.

I had an excellent experience from start to finish. Kevin provided outstanding customer service and went above and beyond to help resolve my issue quickly and professionally. He was responsive, knowledgeable, and kept me informed throughout the process, making everything stress-free.

The product itself is fantastic, and I'm extremely happy with the quality. It's refreshing to deal with a company that genuinely cares about its customers and stands behind its products.

I wrote asking a couple of questions about my Q8Max head-unit. The response I received from Kevin was absolutely awesome - firstly it was very prompt and secondly the level of detail Kevin provided was amazing. It was easily understandable, concise and exactly a response to the questions I had raised. As an older person, I found the response provided me exactly what I was after and clear enough for me to be able to execute the instructions provided. Great unit for my Isuzu MUX.
The full install took me about 3 hours in my driveway but works a treat and the screen quality is super slick.
I needed to get some help making sure the steering wheel controls all matched up with my unit. Kevin responded to my email in about 10 minutes on a Sunday afternoon and helped me fix it in 10 minutes.

Excellent customer service and after sales support....awesome looking unit!!

Patrick replied straight away re my installation problem with the fix and photo's, and the head unit in my Renault works great, so happy with it. I would not hesitate to recommend Brummstadt's after sales support and the head unit they supplied and will be upgrading my wife's corolla next.
