Easy booking process. Whole journey planned and booked from London to Zurich. When we encountered delay due to a broken down train, Byway were just a WhatsApp message away to reassure us there would not be a problem with a late arrival at our hotel.

Our trip by train through France and Spain was well planned and reasonably priced. We had no problems enroute and our hotels were welcoming, clean and perfectly located. When we decided to change our itinerary, Byway supported us straightaway and kept the cost of the change to a minimum. We've had a beautiful adventure, one to remember. This was our first trip with Byway and we’ll definitely be doing another one. Everything was very well organised and the instructions for the trains and the hotels easy to follow. When we needed advice on something and sent Byway a WhatsApp message they responded very quickly. All three hotels we stayed in were excellent and the suggestions Byway made for things to do and restaurants were useful.

I recently went on a 12 day adventure around Europe for a special birthday. I originally contacted Byway and spoke to James and outlined what I had hope to gain from my trip. He presented me with an itinerary which I accepted. BOY DID HE MEET MY BRIEF! We had an amazing trip, every aspect of it was considered and we are so appreciative. We were newbies to train travel and we didn't have any glitches. We saw some amazing church buildings, we enjoyed parks, gardens and a variety of presentations of water. I have no hesitation in recommending Byway and will use them again for sure! We had a wonderful 9 day trip by train exploring the French and Italian Riviera, with very well chosen accommodation at each stop. The itineraries proposed by Byway can be adjusted according to your own preferences so it’s really fun to plan the trip but not too overwhelming either. Excellent support throughout - Byway are on hand before and during the trip to deal with any problems with trains or hotels which they do very efficiently but also in a very friendly, upbeat way. Perfect blend of flexibility and freedom and support and guidance when you need it. Loved everything about this trip and can’t wait to plan another one!

Excellent trip around Italy seeing everything from "Italian Job" Turin in the North, to ancient Pompeii Naples in the South. Everything had been well organised and thought about.

My sister and I (63 and 65) travelled for 10 days around Austria, Slovenia and Italy; it was a real adventure. Byway planned our trip based on our wishlist and we were thrilled with their choices - 1) Well chosen hotels not too far from the station so that we could drop off our stuff easily 2) Great ideas based on local knowledge for things to see and do - e.g. jazz at Ljubjana castle 3) Very quick responses to our mails in the lead up to the holiday. We have been on two trips with this company. Customer service is excellent and any problems are addressed quickly. We had a delay with Eurostar and they sorted it out quickly. Hotels chosen were excellent and suggestions were useful. Would highly recommend this company.

We had a six-day holiday, with trains to London, Eurostar and ICE from home in Norfolk to St Pancras, Brussels, Cologne, Berlin and back via Amsterdam. We stayed in great hotels in Cologne, Berlin and Amsterdam and had the chance to explore the sites, culture, cuisine and history. We did have delays on the trains in Germany and return Eurostar journey but managed to make all our connections.

I loved the long slow trip from Madrid to London and very much enjoyed Byways' itinerary of a night in each of San Sebastien and Bordeaux - where the sun shon too. Being a solo traveller I appreciated the online support. Unfortunately Madrid refused my boarding on the Pass (claiming a paper ticket was necessary) and my wait was 7 hours for next train! However, if there'd been no next train that day I knew Byways would solve all associated problems which was a relief. They were also supportive at the time but Renfe Helpdesk solved my train and paper ticket problem. France, Eurostar and UK were all
happy to accept the Pass

We decided at short notice to go to Granada and Cordoba for a break. We wanted to avoid flying but were concerned about the paperwork and connection issues with rail travel.
Byways quickly took up our brief and came up with a holiday plan for us, with suggested rail times, additional cities to visit, and a range of suggested hotels to visit in each city. We were able to have a very open interactive discussion about options. Once the plan was agreed we had a single document that gave us all the ticketing we needed for the entire trip. It all worked like clockwork and from a paperwork point our rail journey was smooth and effortless-right to the last day.

This was when booking with Byway really paid off. French Railways went into meltdown owing to two fires which cut off Provence, and TGV officials could give us no useful information. We contacted Byway who calmly and quickly swung into action, re-arranged our hotel and rail tickets, and kept us informed all the way through. Reassured, all we had to do was continue to enjoy Nimes!

We have just finished our second trip through Byway, this time to Slovenia. The route suggestion and all of the hotels were perfect. The communication and customer service from start to finish was fantastic. We have made some amazing memories and cannot thank Byway enough!

I echo what everyone says about this company. The service is exceptional and you feel truly looked after throughout your journey. I was a bit apprehensive about how much travel time we had over a short period of time, covering 3 cities but because travel and accommodation were already sorted, we could spend our energy on the fun stuff. Which we absolutely did!

This was our second trip with Byway and once again it was well planned with hotels in well thought out locations. We had problems with Eurostar on both legs of the journey and on both occasions staff on the help line were able to get us rebooked with new connections sorted very quickly and efficiently. It's a great way to travel and see lots of sights, and knowing that they are there to help if things go wrong removes the worry of dealing with missed connections etc. in unfamiliar territory.
