Canary Care Avis 

The canary care system has assisted me for many years to care for my elderly mother who has dementia, and keep her safe in her own home. Movement notifications late at night, pushed straight to my phone, have alerted me to situations where she has needed assistance. In recent months, a ‘door open’ sensor has alerted me to mum going walk about. Over winter, a room sensor alerted me to a temperature drop which following investigation resulted in the boiler having failed and no heat on in the house. The system comes with full instructions and was simple to set up. I use the Canary system along side a video system (Blink) which requires Wi-fi internet connection, however Canary is a stand alone system and does not require internet. Having these systems in place gives me peace of mind that my mum is safe.

Purchased 10 sensor system to be able to see that mum is mobile and getting drinks and meals.

We use Canary care all the time to check if my mother is OK. Very reliable and easy to use.

I have used Canary Care for a few years now. Most valuable piece of equipment to manage my mother’s dementia as she lives alone. I am able to determine if she has had a bad night, if movement patterns have changed (eg due to possibly UTI or reaction to changed medication). I can also check if carers have accessed medication, etc.

We have found your system easy to use and set up is great. keeping an eye on loved ones that are venerable is most important. This system is not intrusive and you can rest assrest it works.

I honestly thought that this would be just another gadget of little use - but how wrong I was! I use it constantly to monitor my daughter’s movements at night. She has Learning disabilities and is in Supported Living but on most nights she sleeps alone. I can tell if she is in bed or moving about and more importantly it lets me know if the Outer door is opened so I have peace of mind that my vulnerable daughter is safe-
I would now be lost without it and would recommend it as a very helpful and useful device.

Easy to use and gives us assurance that everything at Mum's is fine

I have been using Canary Care for several year now for my Mum who lives alone and has dementia. I have found the system very good indeed. We have only had one minor outage in all this time [which we were compensated for]. The support is excellent. We have avoided a number of serious events through the motion and door sensors. The temperature sensors have identified heating failures several times [Hive does not tell you and only has one temp sensor]. The system has been great for monitoring "pattern of life" daily activities and identifying unusual behaviour. A must for people with dementia who are trying to maintain their independence. I live quite a distance from my elderly parent who has dementia so can’t always be there.With the Canary Care system I can check if mums up and about of a morning, that she’s in bed of a night ,if she’s popped out and even if the house is warm enough in winter, all from my phone or iPad.
You can place the sensors wherever you want ,and as discreetly as you want. I thoroughly recommend Canary Care ,it’s been a great help in enabling mum to stay in her own home.
