Stay away from this company

I would give this company zero stars if could i used their services to get one vehicle report at £5.95 i even phoned them to confirm everything which they confirmed and two days later £39.90 has come out of my bank, when i phoned them to complain i was told that i had automatically been enrolled onto their monthly subscription package and i would not receive a refund as it clearly states this on their website which it does not, i have contacted my visa company who will cancel this payment.

Do not use this company

Do not use this company. I wanted a one off report on a recent car purchase, cost £5.95. I have noticed that there is a monthly subscription cost of £39.40 which i did not agree too. There was not email from the car check prior to this payment confirming that a payment is being made or indeed confirming that I had entered into a subscription.
I have managed to cancel my card to stop any future payments since it's not set up as a direct debit. The bank,Nationwide, very helpful have agreed to pursue the refund from Car check on my behalf.
I recently phoned car check to cancel, they told me it has been cancelled and I would recieve an email. Guess what still waiting.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

Banks are aware of these scammers because there are thousands of customer complaints about this company. REPORT AND BLOCK ❗ You should also report this to the appropriate police unit that deals with this type of fraud, "Action Fraud."
Now, scammers, be careful because you have targeted my family, who are cybernetics, and we will publish all information. You now have one option: refund all monies owed to affected customers, or you will be publicly reported in the mass media.

Just please ignored any messages from them because they are liars ❗ Stop trying to explain about anything ❗Many banks knows what u do . There are to identical websites . No any information about subscription at all there are only amount to car check nothing else .

Appear to charge a small, one off fee - however a couple of days later an attempt to make a recurring charge of £39.90 - fortunately this was declined by my bank.

Editing my initial review to reflect their response. The sign up process is not clearly indicating there is regular, monthly fees. It looks like your TrustPilot reviews say it all really.

Do Not Use - Approach with caution

As with all others on here submitting a complaint, I paid £5.95 for a one off report, but nowhere is it clear that this then activates a subscription despite what their auto response constantly states here. Luckily my bank blocked the additional payment, but now I have the inconvenience of my card being cancelled.

I received my report as requested, but the company works on the basis that they will probably catch a few people out on the subscription. This will trap those who are not IT literate and their banks don't pick up the fraud.

What a con! £45+ for one report!

What a con. They charge you £5.95 for the initial check then within days take a further £39.90. Customer service? There is no customer service there is merely a copy and paste, robotic reply with no attention to detail, care or understanding by this company. You receive generic emails and a complete lack of support or empathy.
Would highly recommend you avoid this company. As a single Mum who needed to check her car history, it cost me £45.85 for one report! Extremely disappointed and saddened by this firm. Please avoid.

DO NOT USE THEY TAKE EXTRA MINEY AT WILL

DO NOT USE I paid for a report at £5.95 which I got ok, however the after I was charged £39+ the bank said I had signed up to a subscription service. I have back through all the links I used and no where is a subscription mentioned.
In my profile there is no subscription mentioned it’s not anywhere,
