Great customer service
I like many others only wanted a one off report and paid the £5.95 for it only to be charged £39.90 two days later. I contacted customer services by email and although there is text to say about the subscription when purchasing (that i had overlooked) they agreed to cancel the subscription and gave me a refund.
Make sure to read all the print is the motto to this story!

Terrible service. They had a discount which paid £5.99 for only to get debited £39.99 two days later. I asked for a refund and they said no. I felt like I had been scammed. Terrible service. Avoid at all costs.
I will definitely be raising an issue with that transaction with my bank as I did not authorise it.

Like others I thought I bought one report, only to find out I was unknowingly subscribed to their 'unlimited premium service'. I have disputed that and awaiting response. It does feel like been taken advantage without consent.

I used their one-time service for a single car check. However, these guys have mentioned their subscription fee in a small, unreadable font inside their terms and conditions. And they will charge a subscription fee of £39.90 without your notice and will not agree to refund it, even if you notify them. Also, they will not even notify you about the start of this subscription. In addition to that, they have the worst customer service in their phone line. Plus, their vehicle report is a total waste of money. Looks like there are lots of similar incidents here. Shame on you!! I should checked the review before.

I am beyond disgusted with this company. I paid £5.95 for what I was led to believe was a one-off car check. Little did I know, they sneaked a hidden subscription into the fine print. I just found out they’ve been taking £39.90 EVERY MONTH for the last 5 months without a single notification or receipt. Charging me for a service I never recived !
This is predatory, fraudulent, and should be illegal. They rely on tricking people into subscriptions they don’t want or need. I am down nearly £200 because of these scammers. Do not give them your card details! I will be reporting this to Action Fraud if i don't get my money back.

Just been charged £39.90 on my card without any notice or acceptance. Bank looking into it as fraud. I never signed up or accepted any terms to agree to a £39.90 subscription. On the 24/02 got charged £5.95 not an issue - report wasn't that useful. 2 days later £39.90 has appeared and bank has held my card until investigation. Emailed them for a refund- no answer yet.

Again, another scammed customer I join the hundreds of other people scammed by Car-Check. Phoned them, asked for a refund of the several months that had been debited from my account and told I’d be sent an email and it would be escalated to the “billing department”. No response. Absolutely shocking that this type of aggressive and deceptive marketing strategies exist and the people conspiring and intentionally deceiving innocent people are the worst people on planet earth. Run a proper business.

Took a £5.95 payment for a very basic car information report which was useless, then tried to take a £39.90 payment two days later for some kind of monthly subscription that I did not consent to.
I thought I was signing up to Car Vertical, my mistake admittedly but they reference Car Vertical in their SEO in order to trick people into thinking they're signing up to Car Vertical. You are not signing up to Car Vertical, you are signing up to a basic report which they then try to charge you a monthly subscription for two days later.
Thankfully Monzo flagged it so I was able to cancel my card and order a new one.

Bought a car check paid £5 for it (which the report itself was crap) got a call from my bank today they had tried to take another £39 and tried to add my card to a Google wallet scamming b#st#rds!
UPDATE: To clarify the report only showed details up to 2020 so the last 6 years were missing so the report is of no use. And like others have said i didnt see anything to suggest I was signing up to a subscription so in that essence you are scamming people and you have also tried to charge me twice as I have a £5.95 completed on my bank statement and another one pending. I'll also let my bank know that you have accused them of lying as it was them that informed me there had been an attempt to add my card to a Google wallet.

Absolutely awful, complete scam
Absolutely awful, same as other people, thought i was paying the £5/6 for one car check. 2 days later £39.90 comes out my bank. No notification I was signing up for anything at all, complete hidden scam. Customer service are awful too, had one person tell me it would be resolved in 72 hours. Waited and heard nothing. Rang and had the rudest person on the phone telling me the timelines dont exist, I just had to wait, sarcastically told me she was the only person in the office when I asked to talk to someone more polite, threatened to cancel my refund request and eventually hung up on me. Avoid at all costs, extremely rude, unhelpful and a scam

They changed me £39,99 after a few days.
