I saw this site and for 5.99 to check a car I was looking at, I thought, why not. The repot was vague. Didn't tell me very much. Then two days later my bank refused to pay the 39.99 they were asking. They asked me if I wanted to pay this and I said no. I've now blocked them from taking money from my account. I didn't know about a subscription was to follow. Be careful. This company in Ireland are dodgy to say the least.

How have the owners of this so called business not been arrested and charged with fraud. Blatantly stealing people's money. I paid £5.95 for a vehicle check which was all but useless. The following day they tried taking £39 out of my account. Nationwide fraud team spotted it luckily. What are the Police doing about this?

Same as everyone else. just kept taking the money I didnt even notice as I dont even remember signing up to it. I'm maybe did but there is zero correspondence just three months of payments gone out.
So angry at myself and at a business that has obviously designed a system to benefit it's self.
(Edit). I do not have any emails about signing up to this service, I obviously did, but there are no emails so it was actually difficult to find it was my error initially. I know this will be down to my spam folder been cleared out regularly...and the cynic in me would say it is beneficial for the domain to get low quality score so that emails go to spam and you forget all about it. Of course I am sure it wasn't designed that way but if you wanted to build a money printing machine for not doing anything. That would be the way.

If I could put 0 stars I would. Bought a hpi check report for one of my cars and got put on a monthly subscription. This wasn’t mentioned in any of the files I have received. Phoned up to cancel subscription and met with the usual autonomous response of “you did sign up for a monthly subscription” hopefully now won’t be charged anymore

Why oh why did I not read the reviews! It all looked good and I got the report I wanted. So all good?
No as there was no email or message concerning being signed up to a subscription - trial or otherwise.
So it was not until I looked at my bank statement did I find that there is also about a £40 payment.
Cancelled it straight away - the termination details are on their web site. Also notified my bank to stop any further payments as I just don't trust that further payments will not to taken.
Simply best read reviews (lesson learned!) and to avoid them.

This is one of the doggiest website I seen out there dont know how they allow it to exist, its 100% fraud, they just charge you 40£ with no such thing showing in your invoice when you pay for the car check. Don't worry I will be contesting the transaction though 😉

But thanks for ruining the confidence of consumers for paying for things online, when they pay 5£ for a service then get charged 40£ after 48h because there was no way for the customer to cancel the subscription which was not even showen in the checkout basket. The £5.95 advertised is a trap. No one should get into this unless you're fully aware of what you're doing. I am currently fighting to get my £39.90 which they imposed later on, and they're resisting. Have just contacted my bank.

Apparently it's somewhere in there, but it's as good as hidden. It's a cynical scam. AVOID !

This is scam company - do not use. I bought a report for £5.95 as a one off, and it was not made clear that the company would then try to charge me £39.90 per month afterwards. One payment went thru before I could block them thru my Bank. I logged into to my "area" on their website and there is no information that you have supposededly taken out a subscription or how you can cancel / opt out.
