BUYER BEWARE. You will automatically enrol into a monthly subscription of £39.90 following the purchase of a single car report. YOU MUST CREATE AN ACCOUNT AND SCROLL TO THE BOTTOM OF THE PAGE AND CLICK 'TERMINATION' WITHIN 48 HOURS TO AVOID CHARGE.

Customer services try to fob you off with a cancellation to avoid further charges - insist you want a refund, mine was issued after persisting.

Extremely poor practice and I will be making a complaint to the advertising standards agency.

Do not use

I only wanted to check the HPI on a car before purchasing. Two days later I checked my bank account and saw I’d been charged £39.50. After reading other reviews, it’s clear this has happened to many people. Their excuse is that they “wanted to give a free trial period for the checks and service,” but two days is not giving someone enough time, especially when this isn’t made clear upfront. On top of that, how they can justify charging £39.50 per month for this service is shocking. This is extremely misleading and feels like a pure scam. I would not recommend using this service.

Scam - avoid them unless you want to loose money without your consent - thru don’t honour accidental subscriptions snd don’t make it clear what you are signing up for and it’s difficult to unsubscribe too!
In response to their reply below - I had already emailed them to get a response saying that they are clear in their subscription sign up so won’t refund me- ypu onky need to see their review scores and all the other feedback on here to see that they just want the accidental subscription fees otherwise they would make it clear that you are agreeing to - AVOID!! Update… hassle lots and you might get refunded.

Scam

I paid £5.95 for a ONE off car check, there was no mention that this would be a reoccurring subscription for £39.90 per month! There was no confirmation email to say this was a subscription, there was no mention in anyway, shape or form that this was a subscription. If there was I would not have given my card details. Also the two payments were listed using two different names.
I have sent a complaint to request my money back and any further payments to be cancelled, also I have made my bank aware and they have cancelled my card so you will not be receiving any further funds from me!

Do not use this service and this business - I paid for a £5.99 check and the next day they took £39.99 from my account informing me I had subscribed. I had no intention of subscribing and saw no mention of it when I paid my £5.99 - if I inadvertently subscribed - It must have been very deceptive small print - total scam and rip off.

Had a one off car check same as everyone else here and used a saving account that we don’t use DD with

They’ve taken 39.90 a months from me since March

Pathetic company they’ve on ripping people off with unclear terms, and for you have 1000 reviews saying the same stop acting stupid like it’s the customers fault when your burying a subscription hidden away in the terms

I used this service and like many others had the £39.90 taken. Customer service was not great and the website is very misleading. I had my original review removed for some reason but as an update, I contacted my credit card company. They are aware of this company and having completed a charge back claim I now have the money back. Avoid this company at all costs.

Quite clearly a scam, phoned the up and cancelled subscription. At the time of writing this there are 1044 1 star reviews. Let’s hear this company’s response to another rubbish review “copy and paste”. Allegedly Fraudulent at best, just scamming at worst. (What’s the difference. Avoid Avoid Avoid. Scammers - they kept trying to use my credit card

Used this service in good faith in an attempt not to get scammed….. guess what? They’re scammers!!

Paid £5.95 for a PDF report that was incomplete and fairly rubbish, on a bog standard unremarkable UK car.

Company then made fraudulent transaction on my credit card for £35. Contacted them by email - no reply.

One month later - they attempted another transaction. This time my credit card provided has blocked it.

Scammer company - don’t use.

Can't give 0 star unfortunately.

Absolute scam company. Paid for one vehicle check, then a few days later they took £39.90 out of my account. I have raised this with them and they have made out that this is my fault for not checking. I paid for initial £5.95 vehicle check then got stung with a subscription fee. I have also contacted my Banking provider to get refunded. I will keep chasing them until I get a refund. Please no one use them!!

I mistakenly signed up for a subscription

I mistakenly signed up for a subscription when I just wanted a one off review. I didn't realise that I would be signed up after a "48hr trial period". When contacting their customer services it felt like I was being told off and was my tough luck for making a mistake. I managed to get a refund in the end but only because I was persistent. Run of the mill report on your car stretched over 16 pages which could be condensed to about 4. Absolutely terrible customer service. I have no intention of using this company ever again.

Scam....suck you in with a £5.95 offer but sneakily sign you up for a £39.90 subscription without making it clear this is what you are doing. Luckily Barclays picked up on this and declined the payment. Avoid at all costs.
