Avoid - a con and incorrect report data
Avoid. Three dodgy elements to this firm:
1. I needed a quick search (as I was in the dealership) on a car I was buying. Google searched for Car Vertical and this site was top of the search list - including the words Car Vertical in its title!
2. Turns out to be a subscription £39 per month not a £5 single search - OK, if you look really hard it is in the text but not easy to see and not what you would expect - very dodgy practice. Luckily I cancelled within 48 hrs.
3. Perhaps worse of all - the data is rubbish. I did a search on a 3yr old 3 series BMW - not a rare car! - report had spelling errors, missing performance data (top speed quoted in rpm!!), registration date was wrong etc. so not even worth the £5.
These sites really should be shut down. The report gave no more info than I could get for free on total car check + carsnitch.co.uk. Don't waste your time or money.

As other people have said, scammers 100%. Pay for the initial check at £5.90 and days later they steal £39.90 from your account. I reported to my bank as a scam and they said it was a subscription based site....yet no mention of subscriptions on the car checking site. I phoned the company in Dublin and told them they were scamming B*******, refund e mail received and would take 7 days for refund to come through, how many people are being ripped off here......Also the report you get is the same as the one that appears for free on any checking site,,,,,stay clear .. I have a refund showing on my bank account although not fully cleared as such. I WONT consider changing my comments on the service as it should never have reached this point. Perhaps you need to change the set up of your website to be more clarified. Also the report I got was exactly the same as any "free basic report" Good bye.

Disgusting exploitation. Avoid.
Same experience as every other person who’s left a review of these scammers. Paid £5.95 for what I thought was a one-off vehicle check in November, then realised they’ve since charged me a total of £100 for a subscription I did not authorise.
Call customer services and you end up speaking to robots with zero customer skills and zero empathy.
The “terms and conditions” they refer to when I questioned their lack of transparency and, frankly, a lack of ethics, is a tiny bit of text in the lightest grey font below the initial payment offer button. Anyone with less than perfect vision, like myself, is likely to miss it.
As others, I will be raising an official complaint to whomever governs these fraudsters.

This a scam. I bought a report which was advertised at £5.99. To be charged 2 days later £39.99 . When asked why I was told that since I haven't opted out of the subscreption I was charged for monthly prime membership. When asked for a reffund they said that can't happen . But in an ideal world I didn't recive any thing for my £39.99. So that is theft.

Lesson learnt - read the small print before ticking a box.
They're also scammy in the way they have the word 'Carvertical' on their Google search as a clickable link to get to their website so users searching for the former, come to them instead.
To the owners: Yes, you may have it written down as to what folk are signing up for but you should make it MUCH clearer. You know EXACTLY what you're doing by doing it as you are and it's not at all moral. Do better.
