Very straightforward process
Very straightforward process. Clear guidelines on what my damaged computer was worth. Label to print out for delivery and just boxed-up the computer and dropped it at a Collect+ location. Money was paid promptly upon arrival.

Don't waste your time. You won't receive the quoted price
Don't waste your time. They offered a decent price for my macbook pro but then when they received it they sent me a photo of a microscopic scuff on the underside of the laptop as well as some dust on the screen (which would obviously simply wipe off!) and then reduced their offer amount by half!
Unless you haven't used your laptop and it's in mint condition, you won't get the price quoted. You're guaranteed to get more from an official Apple Trade in which I am about to do. Shame this company has wasted over a week of time, they should tell you up front that they only give their quoted price for unused items!

We originally revised our offer for your MacBook due to there being a scuff to the lid, heavy chips to the lid and the side as well as pressure marks/ keyboard printing on the screen (not removable unless a complete screen refurbish). During our communications we removed the scuff from our report as it was an openly harsh addition and offered to improve our price to match and beat Apples official trade in price of £320 (this is for a non damaged item - it would be £60 with your screen issue) with an offer of £330 to which you declined an stated you would only accept £400. Sadly a conclusion could not be met despite beating the offer you originally said you would accept from Apple. We have returned your MacBook free of charge and wish you good luck in your next sale.

NEVER AGAIN WILL I USE
Laptop had been completely wiped clean by an IT specialist and they told me a price to expect to get for it. When I put in the details onto CIYG it nearly matched recommended price so I thought I would send it in. NEVER AGAIN! They got the date incorrect for the pickup, minor inconvenience. Once they had the laptop they said they they needed to "revise our price due to the reduced functionality". Several emails back and forth and the price came back at a little over £5, five pounds (!) definitely get more than that selling it for spares regardless of the fact it is (edit: was) a fully working laptop. I asked for the laptop to be returned to me. IT CAME BACK DAMAGED and SCRATCHED. CIYG refused to take any responsibility for the damaged.
However, at least I received my machine back...

Hi Elizabeth, we have located your order from March 2022. I have reviewed the item testing data and also the email chain. The laptop specification matched the information you used to obtain the quote. However, the laptop condition differed due to it having a BIOS password. A device with a BIOS password means we can't access critical settings on startup. Therefore, we cannot thoroughly test the device or, in most caseses, re-install a fresh operating system. When we contacted you stating the above, you could not provide us with the password which would have allowed us to remove this BIOS lock and thoroughly test the device. A laptop with a BIOS password is worth significantly less than one without, as they typically have to be sold for parts. Due to this reason, we reduced the offer for your laptop, in line with our website prices. I have no record of any contact from you raising a complaint for any damage to the returned device. We thoroughly investigate all complaints. Had we been aware of this, we could have raised a claim with our courier for any damage during the return journey, upon evidence being provided.
