All the transportation for the whole…

All the transportation for the whole weekend was great! The drivers were so pleasant and friendly. We had a last minute change that they were able to accomodate. I would highly recommend using CharterUp if you have any transportation needs.

From the booking process to the trip

From the booking process to the trip, my experience with Charter Up was very good! I was connected with a liason representative, who, from the first phone call, was prompt, professional, and available to answer questions instantly. She made the process smooth and easy for me to book a reservation. The buses were clean, comfortable, and the drivers were great! We had a great trip. Overall, I would highly recommend this company for any event that needs quality transportation service.

CharterUp is a fantastic bus company

CharterUp provided us with great bus service from Williamsburg to Richmond. From our first phone call with Deja to get prices and schedules to our driver. James, who was friendly, responsible and cared about our safety. The bus was modern, clean and comfortable. It was easy to communicate with all the employees and with our driver the day of our trip. We highly recommend CharterUp and would definitely hire them again.

Best and easiest experience!

CharterUP made booking a bus for our garden club luncheon so easy! The communication from start to finish was amazing and the entire process was so smooth and easy! Our driver, Coach Carter, was THE BEST!!! He was helpful, attentive, safe, and so fun! We had such a great experience and will absolutely continue to use CharterUP every time we need a bus!

The office team was helpful and polite…

The office team was helpful and polite however both buses arrived very, very dirty and smelling of smoke. The exterior of the buses looked like they hadn't been washed in months and the interior was equally dirty. One of the buses had a broken driver side mirror.

Benjamin Harris was wonderful to work…

Benjamin Harris was wonderful to work with booking the charter bus and Brittany Jones our driver was wonderful. She had mints and ponchos when we got off the bus because it was raining. Two great people to work with that made our experience wonderful.

This has nothing to do with the bus…

This has nothing to do with the bus company itself — this issue is with CharterUP. I spoke with your team multiple times, and unfortunately there was very poor communication throughout the entire process. I never received return phone calls from the original person who handled the reservation, and the final itinerary was not what I had requested. On top of that, the actual bus company was not properly informed of the changes or details I wanted.

This reservation involved four buses that I needed for transportation from the Seattle hotels to the cruise port, so proper communication and coordination were extremely important. Unfortunately, that did not happen.

Overall, this was extremely disappointing service, especially considering the amount of money spent. I expected much better communication, follow-through, and professionalism throughout the booking process.

Catastrophic No-Call / No-Show for Major Convention Event — Do Not Trust CharterUP With Critical Transportation

We hired CharterUP to provide executive coach transportation for a major convention 5K event produced by Blue Cheetah Sports Timing. This was not a casual outing or a small informal shuttle need. This was a professionally planned convention event involving approximately 200 participants, an early-morning race start, international attendees, a nonprofit client, and more than a year of planning.

CharterUP’s role was simple and mission-critical: provide multiple executive coaches before 5:00 AM to transport participants from the convention hotel to the race site approximately 11 miles away, and then return them afterward.

They failed completely.

The buses did not arrive. There was no proactive communication. No warning. No backup plan. No meaningful support. From our perspective, this was a complete no-call / no-show on a major professional event.

When we finally reached someone through their support channels, we were told that not one, but two coaches had supposedly broken down. Based on the circumstances, the timing, and the total lack of communication or recovery plan, that explanation was not credible to us. Even worse, the support response was essentially, “I don’t know what to tell you.” That is an astonishing response from a transportation broker when hundreds of people are stranded and an event is actively collapsing.

The result was an absolute disaster.

We had more than 200 participants at a convention hotel with no transportation to the race site. The event started substantially late. The client was embarrassed in front of its members and international attendees. Blue Cheetah Sports Timing suffered reputational damage despite the transportation failure being entirely outside of our control. The overall event value exceeded $100,000, and CharterUP’s failure jeopardized the entire production.

To salvage what we could, we had to order dozens and dozens of Uber XLs and Lyfts at significant additional expense just to get participants to and from the event. Even after the race was completed, CharterUP still had not resolved the problem. They did not provide a workable return solution, and we again had to rely on rideshare transportation to get participants back to the hotel.

This occurred on a very cold morning, with participants standing outside in running gear for an extended period of time while we scrambled to solve a transportation crisis that should never have happened.

In our experience, CharterUP demonstrated a complete lack of reliability, accountability, urgency, communication, and professional competence. A company in the business of moving people cannot simply fail to move people, provide no useful backup, and leave the event producer to clean up the disaster in real time.

We have booked executive coach transportation many times over many years through other providers and have never experienced anything remotely this unacceptable.

I would strongly caution any event planner, convention organizer, nonprofit, corporate meeting planner, race director, destination management company, or professional production team against trusting CharterUP with mission-critical transportation. If your event depends on people being moved on time, especially early in the morning or under a tight schedule, this company should not be trusted.

Our experience was catastrophic, expensive, embarrassing, and professionally damaging. We are currently evaluating all available options, including legal recourse, due to the significant financial and reputational harm caused by CharterUP’s failure.

Do not trust your event to CharterUP. In our experience, they will leave you high and dry when it matters most.
