I spoke to LUCY PHAIR a patient…

I spoke to LUCY PHAIR a patient coordinator to arrange an appointment for a second cataract surgery in Worthing. Lucy went out of her way to ensure that my second appointment was within a reasonable time instead of waiting months as is typical of the NHS. She succeeded and I only have to wait 3 weeks which is an outstanding result - thank you Lucy!.

I was put at ease at the reception by…

I was put at ease at the reception by very polite and friendly staff my nerves were helped by the receptionist and even waiting patients were all happy the doctor was very welcoming introducing himself before I entered his room and everything was explained clearly and precisely. The after care was exceptional by Amanda Whittle thank you.

Used the call back service

Used the call back service, got the call back. Wanted to change an app that wasn’t on their systems yet. Advisor looked into it more after the phone call ended and managed to change my appointment to an earlier date! Very helpful and polite!

Glucoma suspect

The explanation of my last test results was really helpful it was explained in a way that was easy to understand.
I was made to feel at ease throughout my examination and was talked through it every step of the way.
I know now for the first time what's happening and why.

Although the call waiting time was very long, we opted for the ring back service. When we received the call, the young lady called Poppy was extremely helpful. She changed an appointment, to a nearer centre than the one allocated and saved us an unnecessary journey and the follow up appointment was booked for the same morning. Poppy was very polite and informative, an asset to the company.

Terrible doctor

I don't like leaving bad reviews but this needed saying. My last Chec appointment (in Swindon) was absolutely dreadful! I had an initial assessment assessment last year (which was very thorough) and after months of waiting I finally got to see the doctor for what I thought would be a further assessment and management. First of all I had to explain all my symptoms to him as he said it was too much for him to read and then he just looked in my ears and said everything was ok. He did not go in to detail about my diagnosis or offer any advice about managing my symptoms. I had a bad head injury due to a violent assault a few years ago and have had tinnitus and ear pain on and off since. It is now getting worse. How he can say that everything is ok is beyond me. I have had to Google all my symptoms and I can see that everything was caused by the head trauma and that it does need management. So everything is definitely not ok!!

I have been visiting the Preston…

I have been visiting the Preston Hospital for a while now and the whole team are really good. The Dr listens and does not rush me and is always thorough. The hospital is very clean and there is somewhere for my carer to pull up right to the front entrance. Thank you CHEC.

I recently had an Endoscopy appointment…

I recently had an Endoscopy appointment at the Accrington Hospital. I was very very nervous but the team were so lovely and reassuring from start to finish. I didn't have to wait long for my appointment and the hospital was easy to find.

Consultant is always pleasant and…

Consultant is always pleasant and attentive.
Clinic easy to access with parking.
Calm, clean and tidy environment.
Reception staff helpful.
The only reason that I haven't given 5 stars is that I have repeatedly found difficulties in obtaining a follow up appointment with consultant of choice ensuring continuity of care.

Absolute rubbish ..zero communication! Apart from 6 duplicate letters confirming appts that have already been and gone (2weeks prior) or canx appts that were canx weeks ago! Who is in charge of the admin here because it is shockingly bad! Wasting time and paper! Then don’t get me started on when you ring ..put on hold everytime told 20min wait - so request callback ..then 2hrs later they ring but line is just dead at the other end!! 🤷‍♀️ this is not on and needs sorting out!!!!

Always minor teething issues with…

Always minor teething issues with everyone you use, but really liked CHEC, professional, easy to use and a busy place....always a good sign. Had my left cataract on NHS but thinking of private in my right eye so i can get rid of glasses
