This is the second time I’ve used Clement Brown - the service was excellent from the measuring to the installation. Highly recommended, and I will use them again myself as and when the need arises.

We had our shutters installed late 2014 and the service then was overall excellent, and the shutters great quality and still going strong 12 years later, so well worth the investment.

I was compelled to come on and write a review following helpful, attentive follow up customer service from their customer service contact Shei, as well as one of their installers, Darren.

Two of our louvres had been damaged (by boisterous children.) We still had the spare louvres provided at time of installation, but had lost the pins and tilt mechanism needed to slot them back in.

Both Shei and Darren went to the trouble of staying in touch via email plus a follow-up call to establish what I needed and ensure I knew what I needed to do - given the very small value of any 'sale' of the small number of parts, I thought it was exemplary customer service, and means we can continue to enjoy our shutters.

i made an appointment with this company and went out of my way to get ready for them. They didnt turn up and only let me know 15 mins after they should have arrived!

I would avoid this company at all costs. The shutters fitted failed within the first six months. This included cracking of the veneers, failure of the locks and the Louvres falling out of the frame. The installer revisited the house and confirmed the faults were due to the factory. However the company dragged out the complaint for 8 months. They are now claiming the faults are not covered by the warranty. I am now haloing to escalate to the small claims court. Avoid

We had Clement Browne shutters fitted about 10 years ago and they’re still as good as new, this was our return visit to have them installed in two more rooms. We wouldn’t go anywhere else.

I was initially given a guide quote of £2,651.20 for shutters through Clement Browne’s online system and Zoom consultation, which I was happy with and prepared to proceed on that basis.
However, after paying £95 for a measuring appointment, the final quotation increased significantly to £3,777.80 — over 40% higher than the original guide price. While I appreciate that final pricing may vary following an in-person survey, the scale of the increase was unexpected and not adequately explained beforehand. The website states that prices may vary depending on factors such as shutter configuration and tilt mechanism, but this does not sufficiently prepare customers for such a substantial change in cost.

I was also disappointed with the communication throughout the process. I struggled to get through on the telephone to discuss my concerns, which added to the frustration of trying to resolve the issue.

In addition, the £95 measuring fee is retained even if you choose not to proceed. While it is described as deductible from the final balance, I do not believe it was made sufficiently clear at the time of booking that this fee would be non-refundable if the final quotation turned out to be significantly higher than the guide price.

I have attempted to resolve this directly with Clement Browne but remain disappointed with the outcome.

Overall, the lack of pricing transparency, difficulty in communication, and the way the survey fee is handled left me feeling very disappointed with the experience.

Would 100% recommend Clement Browne. From start to finish we’ve had a great customer experience.

Steve turned up on time really nice guy he measured and gave me a price which I thought was very reasonable so I decided to go ahead straight away. also what I like about this company is that Steve is also the fitter so there was no flash salesman just straightforward Steve a real gentleman he came to Fit and I’m absolutely delighted. I would recommend Clement Brown. In fact my son recommended them to me.
