Good turn around on online orders, whether for delivery or collection. Only downside to collection being it's only available from Ammanford. Shame it isn't available at Pontardulais. Other than that, Coaltown is my go to for great coffee. Oh and lovely friendly staff make it worth a visit.

Great coffee but too much packaging
I ordered two bags of coffee beans and the coffee is delicious but the packaging really is excessive. The bags of beans were in a cardboard gift box and this was inside an absolutely enormous outer cardboard box. Both boxes were elaborately branded. I feel like my coffee could've cost a pound less per bag if Coaltown hadn't spent so much on branded boxes.

We completely understand your comments regarding the packaging. We do package our coffee this way to help prevent the bags from being pierced or damaged during transit, as the coffee bags can be quite easily damaged when moving through the postal system.
In this particular order, you had also purchased a gift set alongside a smaller 200g bag of coffee, so using the gift box inside a larger protective box was the safest way for us to package everything and ensure it arrived with you in perfect condition.
We do use branded packaging as part of the Coaltown experience, particularly for our gift sets, but we’re always looking at ways we can reduce unnecessary packaging while still protecting our coffee during delivery.

This was a track 48 delivery sent on 2nd but Royal Mail are now delivering on 7th - what a disappointing response

We were experiencing some dispatch delays due to the Bank Holiday, so your order was dispatched on the 4th. Royal Mail don’t deliver over the weekend, so it’s then due to arrive on the next available working day, which is today.
We completely understand the frustration of waiting for an order and apologise for the delay. We hope your coffee arrives safely today and that you enjoy it once it does!
Decaf coffee
The Jenkin Jones (No 5) Decaf coffee is excellent with a rich and chocolatey taste. Highly recommended. Coaltown also deliver quickly in robust packaging.
