Great tasting coffee, feels like it is shipping from very far away

I bought this coffee some time ago as I wanted to taste it properly first before reviewing. The coffee taste very good and it is true to its word seemingly freshly roasted before being sent out. The postal side did take a long time and it seems they were caught unaware of how well there social advertising worked as the response emails were all about not being able to keep up with the demand. They did change my order as they had run out of a particular pod but have promised to replace the boxes for free in the next order. Although they are well boxed, one of my boxes got damaged at some point and one pod split open having coffee grinds everywhere, again they have promised to replace the whole box with my next order.
We will see.

Really disappointed - 18 days and still no delivery

ordered some capsules (order #4850) back on 26 Feb for £42.42. My account just says “Confirmed” but I’ve had no delivery, no tracking info, and no updates from them at all.
They mention 2-5 business days delivery in their FAQ, so I was expecting it within a week or so. Now it’s been 18 days and nothing. I’ve tried their support but no reply.
Feels unreliable and frustrating - I just want my coffee or my money back. Would not recommend until they sort this out.

Update after coffee arrived.

The Lungo tastes a bit light and watered down while the Espresso and Ristretto are both enjoyable. The Decaf was out of stock and replaced with extra capsules of the other flavours.
The company is genuine, but order tracking need real improvement especially via shopify app. The founder followed up on WhatsApp frequently after the negative review on trust pilot and the order was delivered after a week of thr complaint and partial refund was offered.

The coffee quality is promising, but a more reliable ordering platform would make the experience far better. Nearing a month is far too long to wait.

Fantastic product all round

Took a little longer than expected for the delivery, but I was made aware of this. The intro pack is fantastic and a great coffee mug.
The coffee is so good with lovely flavours and no bitterness or burnt flavour.
With the fantastic price and flavours, I will be ordering more soon 👍👌

Leveranstiden är under all kritik. Nu är det andra gången jag beställer utanför abonnemanget och det har gått snart 8 arbetsdagar utan att min order verkar ha blivit behandlad. Jag har heller inte fått någon som helst information om varför min leverans dröjer. Det är synd, för kaffet är gott.

Coffydoor capsules are really good for…

Coffydoor capsules are really good for a decent coffee from a pod. To be fair I didn't have high expectations as my machine is on the blink! The O seal has gone so my machine leaks coffee. I got in touch with coffydoor as was going to cancel my order. However, I found a temporary solution so decided to wait for the coffee as having to save for a bean to cup machine. They responded quickly and we're very helpful regarding my situation. The coffee did take a while to arrive (bear this in mind when ordering) took 3 weeks. The box of coffee was a surprise with the cup and the container included which are excellent quality. The coffee itself in my opinion is excellent. I like a strong coffee which is why I've found it really hard to find a good coffee pod and have felt disappointed with other brands. (even Nespresso)! If you're looking for a good coffee pod with a good creme then in my opinion this coffee is worth waiting for. I would definitely order again if I needed coffee pods! The coffee strength I favour is the Ristretto 10 intensity. It's very good 👌

Firstly the coffee is great quality, I have shared with family and friends, and they always ask for more. The service is personal and responsive. I no longer look for offers in the supermarket, I have coffydoor, and am very happy.

Didn’t disappoint

I have tried the ristretto and the lungo so far and enjoyed both (I did like the lungo best) , rich taste and certainly not as over roasted as many others , the creama stays to the end of the drink . So pretty happy so far

Overall a disappointing experience.

Having paid £8.99 for express delivery, the coffee finally arrived 17 days after placing the order. This was partly due to Coffydoor not providing the necessary paperwork for the courier, but mainly due to the success of their advertising campaign, which clearly obtained far more orders than they are capable of servicing. They did promise to refund the delivery cost, without me requesting it, but they didn't in fact do so.
With regards to the coffee itself, it is smooth and not bitter, but personally I found it rather weak in strength and lacking in flavour.
I wouldn't recommend it and won't be buying again.

No decaffeinated and pods "blowing out"

I subscribed to coffydoor in December. I had delays and sent emails to check for delivery. As with other clients, no decaf was sent. Second delivery arrived, still without decaf. I had to purchase additional decaf pods if I wanted them. This defeats the object of a home coffee delivery service. They did refund the last decaf amount.
But here is my actual problem. In many of the reviews I see people saying they have lots of grinds in their cups. I have checked various of the 3 coffees I received and the black pods (more than the blue or green) tend to "pop" or "blow out" resulting in water running through the pod with a lot of grinds. I have taken the pods that "blow out" and checked ..... the aluminium actually tears across 2 holes where it has "blown out" resulting in a watery output with grinds into the cup. The other pods have also "blown out" but not as often as the black pods. There is a distinct sound when this happens and then a larger stream of weak watery coffee pours through, with grinds too. Has anyone else experienced this? I have a Nespresso. Jonathan, you are welcome to contact me.

Impressive marketing, decent coffee but some issues :-/

I was expecting great things based on the adverts, but after a lengthy delay to my order, and substituted products (no decaf available?!) I was underwhelmed. The pods are nice enough but no better than Wonky or Aldi/Lidl versions which are our usual choice. Reasonable value if you can leverage promo codes etc.

EDIT: Similar to others, I have received a personal response to my initial review from the founder of Coffydoor offering to make amends, which is appreciated.

I have revised the wording however I stand by my review score. In the spirit of Trustpilot I think this is an honest reflection of my experience. There were obviously legitimate reasons for the delivery delays and product substitution but regardless of the offer of a refund, which is commendable, this was not a 'great' or 'excellent' experience, hence three stars.

Neither I nor my partner were 'wowed' by any of the three coffee varieties. This is just our opinion and we are not coffee connoisseurs.

I believe they are a genuine company experiencing teething troubles and wish them every success for the future.

Lång leverans, fake gåvor

Jag la en beställning 17 november, efter massa mail fram o tillbaka skickades min order 8 december och gåvor skulle skickas kort där efter. Mailade igen 31 januari om mina gåvor och blev då istället lovad återbetalning 2 februari. Det är idag 27 februari och jag har varken sett återbetalning eller gåvor. Ett uppdrag till ARN har anmälts.

The order took eleven days to arrive…

The order took eleven days to arrive and there was a note inside the box to say that as decaf was out of stock, they substituted lungo coffee which has caffeine in it!
UPDATE: The company founder, Jonathan has reached out to me with an immediate apology, explanation and refund. I was very impressed with the personal approach taken and that he made good on their promise of full satisfaction.

Slight delay in receiving the coffee but now it has arrived,I tried all.3 types and they are all excellent
I even had a phone call from Sweden,where they are based just checking that the delivery was OK very impressed do far with Coffydoor

Quick response to contact

Coffee was not to my liking, it's more messy, and something I should have realised was the heat of the adapter. Great if you are making one coffee. I burned my finger tips trying to save it from being deposited in the used pod container.
Contacted the company, and they have been amazing

Al though it works for 97/100 people considering the amount of manufactures for these machines it is not as stated on our product page a 100% functional guarantee. But hence we also provided you with the refund right away for one out of those 3 in a 100 cases :/ sorry you did not get to experience our coffee as it should be but at least our customer experience.

After a shaky start……

Having ordered 120 pods and all the trimmings on offer I had to chase for a delivery date but was answered promptly by the owner, Jonathan, who fully explained this one off delay and apologised wholeheartedly. These things happen and it’s not life changing! It’s how a company responds that gives credence to their commitment and, in our case, it couldn’t have been better. Can’t comment on the product yet but rest assured I’ll add to this review when I have. Looking forward to it!
UPDATE! Sunday morning coffee with our new pods from Coffydoor. All the reviews said the coffee was excellent and smooth. I agree, and more importantly, so does my wife. You know the saying ‘happy wife, happy life’. True! The coffee is so smooth with none of the bitterness and burnt taste that we’d got so used to with our cheaper pods. Won’t be going anywhere else now! Thanks Coffydoor. A truly lovely coffee. 😊
