Half the time dealerships act like they don't want to fix things even covered by warranty. It's like pulling teeth.

My vehicle was fixed in a timely fashion. However my deductible was supposed to be $100.00. It ended up costing me $260.00 out of pocket, my dealership said EasyCare did not cover full cost of repairs.

It’s a scam
We purchased a GMC Yucon Denali XL AT Classic Jeep in Pineville NC. We also purchased the extended EASY CARE WARRANTY for $1999.00 AFTER OWNING THE CAR FOR A WHILE THE AIR CONDITIONER WENT OUT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE SUMMER. we took IT to a repair shop and the repairman had his office call EASY CARE repeatedly for days on end. No answer. He finally told us he had other inporatant things to do besides call a no. Where no one answered. We also called the no on the policy and no answered. We also called Classic and he didn’t act like he DID NOT CARE. So we wound up paying the $1,999.00 for the policy and over $1800 to get the air fixed. Now Easy care wants us to renew our policy. When we told them what happened he was ready to get off the phone. Not even an apology. CUSTOMER BEWARE OF EASY CARE EXTENDED CAR WARRANTY. I WOULDNT EVEN GIVE THEM A 1 STAR IF THAT WAS POSSIBLE.

Spent $4000 for an EasyCare Totalcare
Spent $4000 for an EasyCare Totalcare, dealer told me it covered everything, including shocks, which I told him I was not buying vehicle unless it did, they are expensive. Halfway into warranty, shocks are bad, Easycare saying they do not cover shocks on my vehicle, even though the coverage map they gave me says it does. TOTAL WASTE

I have tried easycare (Owned by Apco…
I have tried easycare (Owned by Apco Holdings, also associated with GWC Warranties) and have been denied on both of my vehicles claims. Even though they claim Day 1 coverage, they are quick to use the excuse of *Pre-existing issue* to deny you. There is only one Warranty company I have ever had a decent experience with and thats Fidelity. Unfortunately for me that wasnt offered through my credit union. I cancelled the warranty on my Cadillac CT6 ($3900) and on my Mercedes S63 Coupe ($7700) after being denied.
Im a sales manager in the car business, and have had lots of experience with 3rd party warranty companys, in short Id give EasyCare a 1 star rating from my experience.
We purchased EasyCare Extended Warranty…
We purchased EasyCare Extended Warranty and GAP with our vehicle 2 years ago. We have never had to use them until now. Our vehicle was demolished by a tree 5/1/24 and declared totaled by our insurance company 6/11/24. We are owed for the remainder of the warranty and the GAP amount. The amount of paperwork they require is ridiculous. There are so many pages that it cannot be sent by email or fax. They refuse to communicate with our insurance company, finance company, the dealership, etc. They ask for documents I do not even have possession of. They are unhelpful and unfriendly, all while being painfully polite. They are making an already difficult situation excrucitating. They say there will be 6-8 weeks for resolution after they get everything they need. I will never purchase from this company again and do not recommend it to anyone else. It is worth only slightly more than nothing.
EasyCare is Worthless - Avoid
Our dealer included the extended warranty from EasyCare (parent company is APCO) when we purchased our new 2019 GMC Yukon Denali. The vehicle was taken to the dealer in May, 2024 because of a warning light. The dealer inspected the vehicle and found the transfer case was the issue - it contained a "chunk" of metal that had broken off from something. The vehicle was just out of the factory warranty and the service department submitted the claim to EasyCare. Approximately 3 weeks after the claim was submitted, according to "Savanah Spurgeon" of APCO, it was denied because the dealership failed to document a powertrain inspection when they performed normal maintenance on the vehicle. EasyCare will nit-pick every single maintenance record on your vehicle and if you miss the tiniest thing they'll deny your claim. They have a 1.1 star rating with the Better Business Bureau if that tells you anything. Don't consider the fact that your dealer may include this warranty "for free" with your vehicle as a plus over a dealership that doesn't offer it. It's worthless. And, certainly NEVER pay out of pocket to purchase this warranty.
Just an absolute nightmare
Just an absolute nightmare! They have fought even the smallest repair. It’s impossible to find a local service center to take this because their reputation proceeds them. Live and learn but man these guys are the worst! Don’t do it!!
I sold my RV and cancelled the two…
I sold my RV and cancelled the two outstanding warranty policies that I have with them . I did this thru the dealer from which I purchased them as directed by Easycare. After working with the dealer for two months, they expressed their dissatisfaction with Easycare and told me that the difficulty in getting service from them had caused them to no longer offer their extended warranty plans.
After sharing their e-mail correspondence with EasyCare with me and allowing me to personally follow up with EasyCare on these refunds I can testify that their customer service is poor. None of their reps has access to information.
Do not buy a warranty from this…
Do not buy a warranty from this company. We were pressured then totally misled, being told 'you won't have anything to worry about for years'. First claim denied. Reason for denial hidden deep in a unrelated paragraph. Warranty from EasyCare. Are trading vehicle soon but will not shop at Montrose. Filing a complaint with Pennsylvania Attorney General consumer division.
easy care made it easy to have my car…
easy care made it easy to have my car fixed, and the dealership did the leg work for the claim!
NEVER BUY THIS
NEVER BUY THIS!
I spent almost $3,000 on the best contract I could get on a car and when I took it in to get some things fixed they decided they wouldn’t cover anything that they said they would because they decided that what ever was wrong with it had happened before I got the car. So now I have to pay $4,000 to get my car fixed for things my contract should have covered.
Avoid this warranty company!
I wouldn't give this company a 1 star but im forced to, other wise they would get a zero. Stay far far far away from this warranty. Very few shops accept this warranty and as of now the place that I had my car at is no longer accepting their warranty, you'll find out why as you read this review. You are going to spend hours calling shops asking if they accept the warranty. Dont bother calling easy care cz thats a waste of time because they will not tell you who accepts the warranty. You are on your own. If you are car savvy and like to change your own oil dont do it. Make sure you have it changed from a reputable company. The woman who was filing my claim at Ford said she was on the phone for 4 hours and was hung up on multiple times. She said they must hire anyone and they also work from home because when she was trying to file the claim she heard a baby crying in the background. She also stated that they were insinuating that I was running my car into the ground because of the issues my car was having. Yet if you do a quick Google search on my car you will see that its a very common issue with the make and model of my car and the parts have been revised 3 or 4 times so that right there tells you its a common issue, otherwise why has the car company revised the parts over the years. They wanted to see my oil change records. My friend who is the a x mechanic had them all written down, dates and milage of oil and oil filter changes. I usually go to a place to have it done but after the 2nd time the guy said I should be using mobile 1 full synthetic high milage oil for my car. That particular company didn't use it. Where it was the best oil for my car I decided to have my friend change so I am giving my car the best oil. I also came out of pocket on 3 separate occasions and had the car fixed myself rather then file a claim becasue they were small jobs and wasn't to expensive. I figured dont bother them with the small stuff but if something big God forbid goes wrong its my 1st claim. They wanted all the records. I showed them receipts for all the oil and oil filters purchased. I showed them the 2 oil changes from the company I have went to since 2003 before I had my friend change it for me. As stated above I sent them the dates and milages of all oil and filter changes. I gave them the receipts for the 3 times I came out of pocket without trying to file any claim. I sent them receipts for all the oil and oil filters i purchased. I emailed them all of it. For a little over a week I hear nothing. I get a email from Ford asking if I sent them what they requested because she was emailing easy care asking for a update over and over.. I told her yes I sent them over a week ago and sent her a screen shot of the sent email with all documents. The email address was the correct one. I emailed them again with all the documents listed above a second time. 3 days later I get a email from the woman saying they are saying the documents you sent them isn't a valid source. These are receipts from companies mind you. Also they can't use the oil change records. I offered to show them a track record of every oil changes I have had since 2003 on all my other cars I've owned. Never a late oil change always on time. They weren't interested. The woman at Ford said she will not accept another easy care warranty after the experience she had and how I was treated. Im fixing the car myself and canceling this useless warranty. If your dealership tries to sell you a easycare warranty say no and ask if they have another warranty company. If they don't walk away and buy a car where they offer any other warranty company other then easy care. Save yourself the headache. They will not have your back when you need it. They will look for ways to weasel out of it and deny your claim. By far the worst warranty company I have ever had. I cant wait until Tuesday and have this scam of a warranty canceled.
Make sure your repair facility accepts EasyCare extended warranty.
I extended my warranty with EasyCare on my Honda CR-V and the salesperson told me that most dealers and repair shops accept EasyCare. My Honda dealer in southern California would not accept EasyCare. When I called EasyCare to find out who would take their policy, the salesperson and sales administration said that they do not give out recommendations. I was on my own to find out who would take their extended warranty. My recommendation to potential buyers of their policy is to make sure that your repair facility does accept EasyCare's policy. Otherwise, you may find out when it's too late. I give EasyCare a 2 because there was no issue about cancelling the policy and receiving a refund.
