Been with this company years .. never had to phone in that time .. yet when you need help they fail and fail big time .. 24 hours later I’m still waiting for the phone call to get me started .. Halfords came to my rescue ..
passed from pillar to post on the phone told I need to pay this and pay that need a new battery will put you through to the shop .. and all I needed was a jump start ..
my renewal is October it will be cancelled awful service .. an already looking else where ..

Avoid. They don't give refunds.
We took out a breakdown cover policy in May then decided to buy a new car in September and rang Emergency Assist to cancel the policy. We were told that there would not be a refund even though there are 7 months left on the policy. Avoid them.

Very easy to renew
Very easy to renew, even though my card was rejected and payment couldn’t be taken. Just went on line and in a few clicks I was covered again.

Much cheaper than others
Our son put us onto Emergency Assist - I was shocked when he told me how much he paid compared with other breakdown companies. So when my renewal came through for RAC I cancelled and signed up with E.A. (up to 60% cheaper). Very happy with that.
Our son had to use the breakdown recovery twice last year and both times they took him and his car to our local garage. Excellent service.

Poor management of customer services
I’ve been with this company for some years now and I requested to cancel my subscription on two separate occasions and guess what happened, they still took money out of my account without my permission.
I have emailed them again to confirm my stance and I’m awaiting their response.

Renewal price vs new price
Buying the breakdown cover was not a problem.
This is my third year with you. I can’t fault staff or service.
My renewal arrived costing £47. I did not renew. Instead I bought a new policy costing £28.62. No discounts for loyalty - just double the price
You don’t have an account. You have to call or email so to double check I’m not on a renewal as tech issues happen, I emailed. It would be great if we could have an account to feel more in control
The other point is and isn’t mentioned in the sales pitch, if you ask for a call out for the same problem it costs you £250. I didn’t know what was wrong with my car as I’m not a mechanic / but had a double whammy problem. So I couldn’t get help incase it was the same issue - that’s a worry as a woman driving alone. It wasn’t the same issue and I wasn’t going to pay £250
