Hi Emergency Assist,
I am submitting a formal complaint and cancellation request.
Here is the exact sequence of events:
- I called to cancel my policy. Your agent answered, then transferred me to option 3.
- I was left on hold for 40 minutes before the call was terminated.
- I called back and the phone rang continuously with no answer.
- I withheld my number and called again. You answered immediately, then left me on hold for another 20+ minutes before hanging up again.
I have screenshots proving all call times.
This level of service is unacceptable. I am requesting immediate cancellation of my policy and a full refund.

Speedy professional recovery and excellent communication from Able Auto recovery company, not so speedy trying to communicate with initial contact at Emergency Assist call center, took an age to determine my location, kept going silent on me.

Have had a terrible experience with…
Have had a terrible experience with this breakdown service who we had been for years, they refused to come out to my husband 3 weeks ago when his car radiator cracked they sited that because they had come out 3 weeks prior to a snapped clutch cable that they were linked, we had to get towed by a friend to the garage to get fixed
Despite phoning and emailing them we have heard nothing back so have taken it up with ombudsmen and joined the RAC

Our worst ever experience with this…
Our worst ever experience with this company! They have a stupid policy of refusing to assist for vehicles over 15 years of age. We have been twice let down, so are going with RAC instead. Waste of our time and money with these idiots.

The parts and labour additional service…
The parts and labour additional service has been extremely disappointing.
I provided proof of two services, including an invoice clearly showing that a full service had been carried out. However, this was not accepted as sufficient evidence, and I was then asked to obtain a detailed written breakdown from the mechanic of exactly what had been completed.
The amount of additional information requested was excessive and turned what should have been a straightforward process into a very frustrating and time-consuming experience.
After this experience, I will not be renewing and would strongly recommend checking the terms and evidence requirements carefully before purchasing it.
Very disappointing and, in my experience, a complete waste of time.
