Don't use Etsy, they allow scam artist on there site and don't offer any help when you are promised a refund and don't get one. Rubbish platform!

Where buyer are safe from scam and money back guaranty, peace of mind
Where as ESTY is just given a platform where any one can see any thing, take your money and never sent the items , Esty says it cant help raise disputes with Paypal
So why we buy from Esty???
I spent 283+£ of item seller keep saying they sent date time passed but nothing i received
I think i am scammed
I will raise a dispute with Citizen Service

I am having a complete nightmare as a seller. There is no one to reach out to. I opened the shop and immediately scammers came in asking me to verify my account by leaving the site and verifying my account details. I refused and said I will only do this via a phone call. They said that my shop will be closed unless I did this. Its still opened. Its a scammers paradis in every way

Ordered a Mercedes sweatshirt through a vendor on Esty on November 8th. Did not realize the vendor was in Germany. Delivery was promised no later than Dec. 7th. It is now the 16th. The only help from Esty was to refer me to messaging with the retailer. A representative responded in German. When I asked for a translation he responded "I am sure you can figure it out". Esty has done nothing to help me. Apparently Esty does not have a vetting process for allowing retailers on their website. I would not trust Esty again.
It's now the 20th and no product, no communication from the retailer, and no help from Esty.
Esty promised 9 days ago to contact the seller. No response from Esty. Garbage website!

I ordered some hand made earrings from stage jewels on Esty and they are superb.My wife will be thrilled with them.James, I dealt with was great the goods were 24 hr tracked and came the following day after James posted them.
Would definitely deal with stage jewels again,on Esty, and James knows what customer service is.

Da quello che ho potuto leggere nel forum il mio non è il primo caso e non sarà neanche l’ultimo. Sicurezza e avvertimenti di Etsy inadeguati e pari a zero.

I would give a rating of -10 if I could.
I have purchased 2 tens from ESTY and one was so cheap it stop working a month after I received it. The second item I purchased 6 months ago and still haven’t received it!!

I receive 2 e-mails from Esty that if I made purchases of at least $25 before 11:59 PM on 9-17-23, I would get $5. It did not say cash or credit but $5 from Esty. I made purchases from Esty of around $63 before time had expired. There was nothint to instruct me on how to get $5 credit or discount. I can not contact Esty by phone so I went to their Chat. I explained in detail my problem and even sent copy of e-mail I received from Esty. They said they understood twice and sent me to a site to join for $1to talk with someone else. I was expecting $5 or a $5 credit and I'm not about to spend another dollar with them. I'm 76. I have ordered from them several times before with no problems but after this, I wont be ordering anything from them again. Whoever reads this can draw their on conclousion

Esty have under their umbrella of sellers a company called PrintNookGB. This company print stickers on mugs etc. I bought a sticker from them. It was allegedly dispatched on the 15th August '23. After several reminders and a promise to take this up with their senders Royal Mail have nothing back. They did not advise it was sent special delivery as it seems it could have been. They claim "if Royal Mail cannot track it....." so am presuming they sent it special delivery. To discerning members of the public you be the judge of what you reckon has gone on here. I personally would never use Esty.com ever again

You could try being approachable I have been trying to complain about an item now for 2 days but cannot seem to get through to u or the seller u need a better complaints procedure

Ordered a golf towel for Father’s Day and never received it. The company reached out saying my ordered had been lost and that I can have a refund or a new one sent out. I had requested for a full refund as I didn’t want to wait longer for the gift. On the 20 of the June, the owner sent me a message saying my refund will take 3-10 business days. On the 30 of June I reached out as I had not received my refund. The owner told me that it was in my account on the 21 of June and sent me some sketchy photo of a refund receipt. When I explained I never got it and that refund receipt doesn’t look right as it doesn’t even have the last digits of the card number on it nor my name , he just said it was in my account call my bank. This company is called cowinhongkong.

12$ was the price of the price 46$ shipping ripped off and items not turning up I even was offered a item as they were trying to get a date I was humbled as she caHme clean as shaitain was playing the game and my sister came to me with the strength of Allah and confessed had MY QRUAN GAVE HIS WORD TO SEND ME A COPY FOR FREE THEY renaged I just want people to know

iMessage to Customer Service is a week ago get a response back for an error code that I keep getting 429 only to be told that there was a suspicious login on my account so they’ve suspended it considering I’ve only placed one order in two years it’s obviously come to my address. I was completely surprised that they were asking me for stuff that no normal person with actually remember like when you open the account et cetera et cetera so I am advising is there anyone not to use . I’ve now they have suspended my usage of the site. I can no longer a message to Seller . I have purchased an item from and I need to talk to them. So now it means I’ve lost my money on top of everything else. I will never use the site again and there is no suspicious login as it’s me using different devices to try and access my account with the 429 error code, so I actually can’t log in or anything else. They are absolutely useless.

Please avoid this online retailer as their “Etsy Purchase Protection” is a lie and they do not honour it. They operate a no return policy and as other customers here have pointed out are a retailer to side-step. I received a product damaged in transit - the hanger was shattered when the package arrived with the jacket full of sharp shards inside it. I had also cut my finger in the process. There were multiple things wrong with the jacket namely - size incorrect, damage during transit, collar floppy (not as advertised), wool frayed at several places in the jacket, etc. Each of these defects individually make it eligible for a refund/return, if Etsy would honour their word as advertised in the website. The seller is extremely rude and unwillingly to listen or resolve the issue. Etsy has done nothing to resolve the issue or offer a refund.
