Expecting Antenatal Classes Avis 

The classes were great for new mums/couples. Informative, relaxed & friendly. We would recommend 😀

My husband & I are first time parents and so we signed up to Freya's Hypnobirthing online class, and the antenatal classes too, after they were recommendedby a friend. These are now running in person (as Covid restrictions have lifted) but there is an online option for you to access them from anywhere in the world!
I can't tell you how useful they've all been!
We were sceptical about the hypnobirthing but really enjoyed it & have taken away some valuable tips and definitely recommend anyone giving it a go!
The antenatal classes have put us very much at ease and definitely helped to prepare us for what may come our way from birth & early parenthood. The course is very well structured and easy to follow.
We felt very comfortable at the classes and found it a great opportunity to ask any questions (both in person, via text during the week, or via a WhatsApp group for all the parents on the course). Freya was able to answer any questions that we had, as well as offer great advice and point us in the right direction if there was additional information that we wanted.
The course was also a great opportunity to speak to other parents too, and to realise that we aren't alone on this journey.
We highly recommend Freya, and are very grateful for her time, support & the resources that she provided (and of course the great snacks too) 😀. Thank you!!

We are first time parents that recently took both the online antenatal and hypnobirthing classes, and are very happy we did. The videos were very informative, and the zoom chats added additional helpful information that wasn't repeated from the videos, so i would highly recommend the online classes.

I wasn't sure hypnobirthing would be something I really benefited from, but was willing to give it (anything) a go. The class actually had a very pragmatic approach that I enjoyed and found really relaxing.

Overall the classes have helped us feel more prepared, and i would recommend them to anyone. The fact you can message Freya after and ask any questions that pop up is really helpful too and going the extra mile.

Freya is approachable, personable and provides a wealth of information from her many years of experience as a midwife. We really enjoyed Freya’s weekend of online classes and learnt so many tips that we would not have even considered. The resources available to download are also great tools to refer back to and it’s brilliant to have access to these for the next few months when I am sure they will be very much needed. 😅

These classes were amazing! Even though we didn’t get the birth we planned, having completing both the hypnobirthing and antenatal courses we felt so much more in control and able to make decisions we were happy with, rather than being overwhelmed with the unplanned process.
The continued support, time and resources given to you are invaluable. Thank you for all the help leading up to the birth and now 5 days after into this crazy new world!

We did the expecting course and hypnobirthing, me and my partner found both these courses very informative, we were able to ask questions through out and both feel a lot more clued up and prepared for little ones arrival. The fact that you can keep in contact with Freya afterwards who is always very quick to respond is such a bonus and a comfort. Thanks so much.

I honestly can not recommend freya's courses anymore than if I tried. I couldn't believe how much me and my husband learnt! She went through so much in so much detail and was so supportive. I feel so blessed to have experienced such an amazing course! Especially since we are first time parents. My husband sometimes says "Freya said" which makes me smile. I feel so much more prepared for labour! And so happy that she has took her time and effort to put together something like this for mums and dads! Highly highly recommend, left feeling empowered.

We’re one week into parenting as I write this and Freya’s guidance has been invaluable. The preparation for labour and birth was really thorough so we felt armed with knowledge on what was to come! I was keen to do a course that was led by a practicing midwife, as they really do know best, as well as being across all the latest clinical guidance. Freya’s delivery of the classes was brilliant too - we left feeling much more confident! She walked us through labour, birth, feeding and more so we knew, quite literally, what to expect. I was pleased the feeding element of the course also covered bottle feeding, as I personally struggled to breastfeed.
It doesn’t end at the class either, as well as the resources available online (worth going back to!) she’s only a message away and very supportive to her groups. Would really recommend to any first time mums and dads!

Freya’s antenatal classes were fantastic! It was mine & my partners first baby so we really didn’t know what to expect but we were pleasantly surprised! Freya is very knowledgable & straight talking & the sessions were split into easily digestible chunks with plenty of opportunity to ask questions. The sessions were delivered in a friendly and laid back environment where we felt comfortable to join in the conversations & ask questions without feeling like we were being judged. The course definitely helped prepare us for labour & what to expect after the birth. I would definitely recommend for new parents & even for those who just want a refresher.

The Expecting antenatal course was invaluable for us in preparing for birth and beyond. It was hugely informative without being overwhelming, helping so much to put our minds at ease.
The online course was also a brilliant format allowing us to watch the sessions whenever suited us, and then re-watch them again.
Also knowing that Freya was available to answer any questions or worries we had was extremely comforting. Freya has been so lovely and approachable in our contact with her and we were really grateful for her support. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Expecting classes to anyone looking for antenatal information, advice and reassurance.

I took both Expecting classes-Antenatal and Hypnobirthing and feel much more prepared now! Information provided in a very clear, concise and well structured manner. English is a second language for me, but i didn't have any problems to understand. Freya is very friendly and ready to answer any question. Also there is nice mixture of activities in the class, so time went very quick. Love the refreshments and complimentary box of snacks in the class. I am very happy that I've found this classes and would highly reccomend it to anyone, who is expecting🐣

Freya’s ante-natal classes have helped us to prepare for our first baby in a way no book ever could. Her honesty and approachability puts parents-to-be at ease and helped us to feel relaxed to ask any questions. Her knowledge of pregnancy, birth and babies is huge! Her professional experience in hospitals has helped us to prepare for all the potential ways our little boy could be born. I’d recommend her classes to anyone. The only thing Freya can’t do is give birth for me! But at least now I have to toolkit to understand what’s happening when the birth happens 🤰👶🏼.

Freya’s course is informative, relaxed and totally worthwhile. We’re due to have our first baby in August and knew nothing about what to expect. The sessions are really factual and cover everything you can think of. We finished the course feeling a lot more ready for the little one’s arrival and in a WhatsApp group with other mums-to-be for support. Not only that, Freya is lovely and will answer any questions you’ve got (even outside or the sessions). I would highly recommend the classes. Another bonus is the snacks are great 😂! Thanks Freya!

I would highly recommend Freya’s Antenatal and Hypnobirthing classes. Her approach was exactly what we wanted. She managed to integrate the birth partners in an amazing way without making it awkward. Her honest and practical and funny approach made the classes so much fun and we feel well prepared and informed.
Her hypnobirthing class gives you so much more information than just the aspect of hypnobirthing.
I can’t thank Freya enough for answering all our questions even after the classes ended.

We would thoroughly recommend expecting. Freya’s approach was just what we were looking for, a perfect balance of pragmatism and honesty.
We knew classes such as nct were not appropriate for us and we really valued have advice from a practising midwife. It is very evident that Frya is very passionate about the job that she does and the service that she provides.
The content is all very digestible, easy to follow and well constructed. She is really encouraging and very happy to answer any additional questions (we felt we had more contact and support from Frya than we did our own midwife). Great value and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

Freya's class was hands down one of our best 'pregnancy purchases!' As new parents to be, everything seemed so overwhelming, but Freya's no nonsense, honest and to the point course, has really given us a lot of confidence.

You have access to videos and downloads, to help along the way, and we also got the chance to make new friends in our little group, a great support as I have no friends who are currently expecting!

Cannot thank you enough for preparing us Freya, thank you for being so approachable and kind too, and answering any questions no matter how big or small! Myself and my husband have been raving about this course by word of mouth since we finished, so wanted to share our experience on here too.

We had the classes bought as a Christmas present from my sister and brother-in-law along with a note of highly they recommended the classes, especially as they had recently had their little boy.

The videos are around an hour each and are so well done the time passes by very quickly. Going into this I was, perhaps a little naively, thinking I would be able to wing it, following my wife’s lead, the videos and online classes really opened my eyes, and after completing the course I do feel a lot more confident in the upcoming challenges of being a parent.

The topics that Freya covers are wide and varied and gives the right amount of information to ensure you are not bombarded with information and you have enough to enjoy the months ahead.

We also took part in the group sessions once a week, even with the challenge of these being remote they were really useful and engaging. It was good to meet with fellow parents to be and has created a valuable support network.

I can honestly say this was one of the best ways to prepare for our new arrival and I would 110% recommend.

A very well run course with a nice informal feel. The relaxed style encourages you to ask questions without judgment.

I feel much more confident for my journey into becoming a dad.

These were just the most fantastic antenatal classes and quite frankly I’d have been lost without them. You can read all the books you like but nothing can replace the kind of practical advice you get from these midwife led classes.

Ideal for first time mums but I think if I were to have another child I would probably attend again as a refresher and also for the contact with other mum’s to be who are at exactly the same stage of their pregnancy as you. The course leader was excellent at making sure that birth partners/partners/husbands felt completely included with really practical advice on how they can best support mum at the birth and after.

The friends I made at these classes are likely to be lifelong and our little ones growing up together. After you have your babies the course leader arranges a catch up for you all and following on from this we meet up every few weeks. Having my antenatal group was a godsend in the first year after having my baby. It can be very lonely when you’re up every night on your own with a baby, but as we were all going through the same thing it was just the norm to message the group at 3am to let everyone know the baby had just been sick down your back while the hubby snored in bed. You could guarantee within minutes you’d have started a massive group rant on babies feeding habits! Just having someone to share it with in the moment made it funny rather than stressful.

I could not recommend these classes highly enough.

The best thing you could do, as an expecting parent, is to take these classes.
We took part twice.
Once for our first child and then a refresher for our second.
The information you will learn, does so much to alleviate anxiety during labour.
I found myself saying “Freya said....” whenever I started to stress.
There is so much reassurance to be found in these classes.
We both recommended this to any friends who become pregnant, we even gifted someone a membership.

I cannot speak highly enough about these classes, or the Lady who runs them.

Taking these classes is seriously one of the best things you could do!
