Brilliant
Larry was absolutely brilliant, talked me through what he was going to do and what it would cost. He shown me on the camera where the blockage was and processed to clear it away. He did checks once the blockage was gone Larry was a very pleasant and polite young man very though in his work. I would definitely recommend this company. I'm a very happy customer 😀

Over charged & problem not resolved
1st Local charged over £1,200 after diagnosing the gully needed to be repaired. However, sewer smell persisted so they recommeneded I call the water company to have the main drain cleared - free of charge! The smell still persists so will now have to try a different plumber as the issue remains undiagnosed inside. An unsatisfactory service & waste of over £1,000!

Following leaving a negative review about First Local Services for their obvious attempt to extract as much money from their customers dishonestly they responded with an email. My critique of not receiving the CCTV recording following 2 requests was put down to a member of staff on berevement leave. The failure to respond is not the fault of staff on berevement leave but on the company for not diverting customer emails. They use the Checkatrade logo on their website but their account is not active...I have complained to checkatrade and also trading standards. They claimed that CCTV images can be interpretted differently from engineer to engineer. Although I understand these images may be difficult to interpret, I do not see how their engineers can diagnose cracks and a partial collapse and our insurance assessor not fi d any issue with the drains. Do not use this company, they are dishonest charlatans.

Very disappointing service
Very disappointing service. Originally quoted £150-250, £500 later and a very simple issue is not fixed. Reached out to customer service to try to resolve but not helpful. Left feeling totally fleeced. A quick read of their 1* reviews on trust pilot and I can see Im not alone. Avoid this company at all costs!!

Upon attendance, our engineer initially recommended a CCTV survey to properly diagnose the issue; however, this was declined at the time and high pressure water jetting was proceeded with based on the symptoms reported. When no blockage was identified, a CCTV survey then became necessary, which revealed a crack in the cast iron stack pipe along with additional defects within sections of the drainage system.
Whilst we appreciate there was visible leaking externally, this does not always identify the underlying cause or overall condition of the drainage system, which is why CCTV surveys are industry standard for accurate diagnosis.
The quotation provided reflected not only materials, but also labour, specialist equipment, access requirements, working at height, and the time required to safely carry out the works.
We are sorry you feel unhappy with the outcome; however, we do feel the investigation and recommendations provided were reasonable and appropriate based on the findings identified on site.

Had CCTV conducted on our drains and…
Had CCTV conducted on our drains and was told pipework was cracked and had collapsed. They did notnrespond when we requested the CCTV footage for insurance purposes. The insurance insoector found no issue with our pipework. The company also has the Checkatrade logo on their website but are not a member. They do not respond to emails. Do not usenthis company!

We have responded to your concerns directly via email, however for the benefit of anyone reading this review publicly, we feel it is important to clarify a number of inaccurate statements.
Our engineer carried out a CCTV inspection and reported findings based on what was visible within the drainage system at the time of attendance. Drainage systems can present differently at different times depending on conditions within the line, and a later inspection producing different findings does not make the original observations “false” or “dishonest”.
The statement that we “did not respond” is also incorrect. There was unfortunately a delay due to the member of staff you were emailing directly suffering a recent family bereavement and being absent from work during that time.
In relation to Checkatrade, we previously held a subscription with the platform and the profile remains visible online despite the account currently being inactive.
We take customer concerns seriously, however we do not accept the allegations made within this review and believe it presents a misleading account of events.

Blocked Drain
We had a blocked drain on our front drive. Made a call for help to First Local Services and 2 guys arrived the same afternoon. They called ahead to let us know their ETA. They were polite and worked well, getting the fault fixed within an hour. Mikey L was very knowledgeable with every aspect of the problem and its resolution. Would definitely use them again. Jill G.

Top level service
Top level, friendly & professional service from start to finish. I had an immediate call back to arrange a same day appointment. The team called an hour ahead of arrival as promised and arrived on time. Can’t recommend Jack & Brin enough - they did an excellent job, sorted out the issue efficiently & explained what they were doing. They left the area clean & tidy and were happy, helpful & friendly throughout. Will definitely call them back if we have any other problems in the future.

Called at 3pm and Chris was at my door before 4 – incredibly fast response. From the moment he arrived, he was professional, friendly, and clearly knew exactly what he was doing.
He quickly diagnosed and fixed the issue, worked efficiently, and left everything spotless afterwards – no mess at all. It’s rare to find someone who combines speed, skill, and great customer service like that.
Really impressed with the whole experience and wouldn’t hesitate to use them again or recommend to others.
