Real person answered phone promptly. Elliott arrived as arranged, phoning to confirm arrival time. Drain blockage cleared efficiently and camera revealed crack and displacement of pipe. Remedial work quote received promptly and date for work confirmed. A really positive experience and efficient, knowledgeable staff.

We were very impressed with the service from First Local Services. The drainage person Alistair arrived quickly, diagnosed the problem straight away, and clearly explained everything along the way. He answered all our questions and made us feel confident in the process. Mickey L and colleague came out to us today after a blocked drain from the toilet, they were great very professional and informative, showed us exactly what was going on in the pipes and how they were starting to crack, they are due back in a couple of days to put preventative sleeves in place, definitely would recommend for a quick and professional service.

Really good service. Our engineer Mikey L turned up on time, knew exactly what they were doing, and fixed the issue quickly. Left everything clean too, would definitely recommend.

Charge a lot for very little, spent less than 90 mins to try and fix a blocked pipe and was still blocked when they left. Charged nearly 500 quid for this and had to get another company in to fix the problem.
Absolute cowboys they only thing they know how to do is charge for just about anything they do.
Also be careful I called a dynorod number expecting this to be them, when I asked is this dynorod they replied how can we help which made me think they were dynorod, very deceptive.

AVOID. They did the job which wasn’t complex. Here for 1.5 hours and charged over £400. Exorbitant charge for the work. Won’t use again.

Great service and fixed in 1 hour all thanks to Chris W. They will definitely be the people I call if I ever have any problems like this again. Rapid service too. Phoned in the late morning, arrived in afternoon. Kind people on the phone and in person. Thanks again

They quoted £195 over the phone to clear one drain. They were at my property for 21 minutes in total. They charged £508.80. Where they got this exorbitant figure from....I have no idea. I do know that in my 30 years of home ownership,I have never paid over £500 for 21 minutes of work....on anything!!
When I spoke to Abi in the office, she said she would investigate my claim and get back to me. Of course....Abi has gone silent and I haven't been able to contact her for 3 days. Only use this company if you want to be ripped off!!

~~~Following First Local Services weak attempt to cover themselves in their response, I would like to add that I was not provided with the official cost of the repair before the work was carried out. In fact, he mentioned £200 to me which is an appropriate amount! Also, as for internal checks, reviewing job reports, photos and signed authorisation, there were none! The contractor didn't ask me to sign anything.
Yes....email me the signed invoice....which I have never ever seen!
Oh look....no signed invoice has been sent my way. Probably because there ISNT ONE!!

Very good service indeed. Chris wasted no time at all in getting on with the job of clearing our drains that had become blocked.He worked quickly and efficiently in doing this with a logical explanation along the way. Brilliant service from start to finish. Following a Google search I made contact with First Local Services as I thought I may have a blocked drain. I was advised that they could get someone to me that same afternoon and suggested a cctv survey. Harry H called to advise estimated time of arrival. What a polite friendly guy ….. he introduced himself when I opened the front door, asked me to explain the issues and immediately advised that I had definitely got a blocked drain. He explained that it would be a better option, and cheaper, to sort the blockage before the cctv survey so that he could check all pipes thoroughly. Harry explained every step of the process so that I understood what he was doing and why. Once the blockage was cleared he then checked the flow from toilets and shower to ensure it was good. The cctv survey showed that the pipe work underground is in good condition. He made a recommendation concerning the pan connection on one of the toilets but reassured me that it wasn’t anything that needed urgent attention.Harry left and written report and also sent an electronic copy by text message. He also recommended a conversation with Severn Trent regarding the proximity of the pipes for mine and next door in the chamber as there is not much of a gap.

Based on my experience of the service by First Local Services and the job done by Harry H I would highly recommend this organisation and, if any further issues arise, I will definitely use them again in the future. Thanks Harry 😊

Got the job done - but charging and capability were terrible.
He arrived without basic parts like sealant and then proceeded to go to the local hardware store to get some, and charged me for that time… here’s an idea, turn up with the proper kit. He sloped around at slow pace, watched videos on his phone, stared at the work a lot - all stalling for a better hourly rate.
I also highly dislike their business practice of them using multiple company names to make them look local, it’s deceiving as they are not local to where they claim to be from.

very very expensive! I paid £345 for them to unblock a drain,I’ve heard since the majority of firms charge £90
I know where I’ll be going if it happens again and it won’t be this company

The work was completed, however, the chap spent 15mins looking at his phone, but charged a full hour. The initial invoice was overstated (doubled) and did not match their own quoted rates, as stipulated on their work/jobsheet. I had to challenge the charges with evidence before a corrected invoice was issued. Eventually resolved, after several months, but customers should check invoices and job sheets carefully.

Fast responses on offer, and a very friendly person who came out.
What I don't like is their charging practices... BEWARE. For jetting they charge £60+VAT per half hour or part thereof. Fine. They arrived at 9:15 and were left by 10:10. I got charged a full £120+VAT for jetting, even though they can't have jetting for more than 10 minutes max. The reason when I queried it?

'the time starts from the moment the system is turned on'.

Not USED, but literally turned on. They started the motor in the van, and it was idling for at least 20 minutes whilst they did other stuff (like picking leaves out), before they used it. The motor was on for 31 minutes, and they jetted for 10. But I got charged for a full 31 minutes of jetting (which means an hour with the way they charge).

As it is they have quoted £7k for the job to fix the drains they couldn't jet, and needless to say this sharp practice means I will be taking my money elsewhere....

They were really prompt, came out the same day as we phoned, and were really nice. Great service, thank you.
