Friendly and knowledgeable staff
We called into the Carlisle branch with questions about floor coverings suitable for under floor heating. Staff were helpful and Jen, in particular, was more knowledgeable than some of the underfloor heating manufacturers we have dealt with.

Worst Service
We chose Flooring Superstore based on their 5-star reviews but the experience fell far short of expectations.
Our carpet was marked as delivered, but when our fitter arrived, only the underlay was there. After being passed between the store and customer service, we were eventually told the order had been lost on a van. We then discovered the carpet wasn’t actually in stock, despite still being advertised as available online.
We were promised delivery two weeks later, but that deadline passed with no confirmed date. After waiting until the end of the following month, we gave up and cancelled the order.
On top of this, our landing carpet arrived in the wrong size and the stair carpet was missing from another delivery. This resulted in five fitter visits for a one-bedroom flat, and we eventually had to find another fitter to complete the job.
What should have been a straightforward project took three months, leaving us paying a mortgage on a flat we couldn’t live in and dealing with significant stress and disruption.
To make matters worse, Flooring Superstore then went back on their word regarding the compensation they had offered.
I’ve never written a public complaint before, but I cannot stress how poor our experience with Flooring Superstore was. If you’re considering using them, I’m happy to share more details on our experience.

No trust in the head office to solve anything
We bought flooring and carpet in June, then cancelled the carpet. The carpet was never refunded. We were told repeatedly by the store who have been great and by head office that it would be sorted, and we were promised callbacks that never came. We've now made 10–15 attempts by phone, email and chat over several months, and our recent emails, including a formal complaint, have gone unanswered. Our trust in the company has gone, and it feels contrary to our consumer rights to hold on to money owed for this long. I'd welcome a response and the refund we're owed.
