A friendly, knowledgeable and professional team. Samples arrived promptly and after one was missing, this was quickly rectified. Unfortunately, sample sizes weren’t available in a size bigger than 20cm square and were only available instore with home visits not available so I couldn’t commit to a purchase.

Incompetent technical advice, mis-selling, and a predatory 50% restocking fee.
I strongly advise anyone buying engineered wood from Flooring Superstore / Direct Wood Flooring to do their own technical research, because their store managers do not understand the structural requirements of the products they are selling.
I purchased £4,400 worth of Natural Country Herringbone Oak in-store. The branch manager confidently sold me a "complete installation solution," which included their Impero All-In-One Adhesive for my downstairs concrete subfloor and a 3mm Timberlay foam underlay with grab adhesive for my upstairs floorboards.
Thankfully, my professional flooring contractor immediately refused to install it. He took one look at the supplied accessories and stated that using an acrylic dispersion glue on solid oak, or floating herringbone blocks over a 3mm spongy foam underlay, would guarantee a total floor failure. He confirmed it would instantly void both his professional installation guarantee and the manufacturer's warranty. The manager's technical advice would have destroyed my entire investment.
To add insult to injury, two boxes arrived completely damaged.
When I contacted customer service to return the upstairs flooring and the incompatible accessories due to this negligent advice, it turned into a complete nightmare. They admitted the accessories were wrong and agreed to refund them, but then tried to slap a punitive 50% "restocking fee" on the 24 unopened boxes of wood, claiming there was "no manufacturing defect." They completely ignored the fact that I was returning it because their manager mis-sold the installation method. They then tried to trap me into accepting my £1,700 refund as "store credit" to use on their own low-quality carpets instead of giving me my money back.
They are currently ignoring my formal rejection of the contract under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. I am now forced to open a formal merchant dispute with V12 Retail Finance and Trading Standards just to get my money back.
The wood itself looks nice, but the retail experience is appalling. Do not trust their in-store technical advice, check the labels on every single accessory they bundle into your cart, and do not let their customer service team bully you into accepting a 50% penalty for their own staff's incompetence.

I popped into the Lincoln store looking for a solution to a flooring problem after a previous contractor had cut a piece of vinyl too short.
Alex from the Lincoln branch was exceptionally helpful and came up with a brilliant solution straight away. I was incredibly happy with my experience with flooring superstore, Cheltenham. I had the entire ground floor of my 4 bed house done. The in store team were great helping me decide what would be the best materials for my needs and it was all ordered, delivered and fitted within 2 weeks! I was surprised at the quick turn around. George the flooring fitter was a really great guy, super friendly and he managed to skilfully work around my family coming and going whilst maintaining a top quality job.
