Food is tasty but that's where it ends

First, the meals are tasty and while important, this is where the good news ends. I received 3 boxes from Fresh N Lean before I cancelled. All 3 boxes had busted open to some extent. The first box I received had been taped back together I assumed by UPS. The boxes I received in weeks 2 & 3 were also ripped open although not taped up. It is disconcerting to get a box full of food that has been exposed to the elements. It's apparent the boxes they use are not strong enough to handle the food containers and the frozen gel packs. Week 3 contained an incorrect item that I could not eat and had to throw away. I emailed the company the Friday I received the 3rd box and after not hearing from them by Monday, I cancelled the service. It's been a week since I wrote the email and I still have not gotten a response to my concerns or the incorrect order. I find dealing with the disposal of the gel packs annoying. I can't dump the thawed gel down my sink as they suggest, so I've had to come up with another method which is time-consuming. I can't recommend this company due to their shipping & order problems and their lack of customer service/response.

My order was delayed by UPS

My order was delayed by UPS. Fresh and Lean shipped the order con time, however UPS delayed it for 6 days. When I notified Fresh and Lean they immediately credited my account the full amount of the order. This is why I have stayed with them. Thanks

Overall good choices but she order two…

Overall good choices but she order two chickens tikka masala and one of them arrive with just rice and no veggies (2/10 order). This was a disappointment. Can we get a credit for the partial meal?

Poor Customer Experience & Product

Intriguing concept with poor follow through. Food taste bland or worse, nutrition facts provide for very salty and highly carb foods on Mediterranean and even Paleo diets. Shipping was delayed on my first order..bad start...after 2 orders I cancelled the product on the website but customer service failed to acknowledge it and charged me for a product I cancelled...then told me its my fault their website didn't malfunctioned, they didn't get the cancellation well before the next shipment and doesn't send cancel confirmations like an experienced company should. This last part is why they get a review..bush league customer service that takes no accountability = failure.

Incorrect meals

I continue to receive meals I didn’t order. If you run out of the meals I selected don’t just send me replacements that I don’t want.

Diversity rocks.

Food is delicious, absolutely delicious. I love the variety of foods across ethnicities and lifestyles (Mediterranean, Keto, Paleo, etc.), the quality, promptness (from the initial sign up delivery was one week or less), and the email reminders to order your meals.

Dislike the packaging

Dislike the packaging, is very hard to open, have to add seasoning to the meals and are more expensive than other meal delivery services

I appreciate the time and effort to send me a separate, individual response, and for recognizing the ordering mistakes in the system. If the system/process for ordering is corrected I may try again in the future. EN

Terrible experience with this company. I established an account, which required me to provide PAYMENT information FIRST - BEFORE ordering any food. After entering all payment information, site takes you to your food choices - EVERYTHING was sold out except one entrée. Made NO selections as I didn't want ONE DINNER for the entire week, and backed out of the system. Was charged anyway, and will receive 10 of the same dinners that I didn't want nor order. The system is set-up to charge your account overnight - if you order different food or not. Legit companies don't need to scam you for cash = avoid this company and find out e of their competitors.

I got the VEGAN option

I got the VEGAN option. Good quality but very dry and tasteless for the most part. Even with my own spicing up, very hard to get down. Not worth the money. I'd rather buy Amy's.
I'd like to help them improve their meals with some constructive comments but they are hard to reach.

Shipping boxes, meal packaging...CHEAP!!!!

Shipping boxes both tore open the first two weeks of delivery. Super cheap boxes. Consider getting boxes from Amazon for free. The boxes carry a lot of weight and you can tear using your pinky finger. What????
You have to reorder the second week before you have even tasted the first.
Meal packages are impossible to open and require scissors, knife or scalding yourself with steam.

Idea, spend 15 cents more on better shipping boxes and 10 cents more on a meal you can open with your hand and not require a carpenter's tool set and welder's gloves to open. I have to work more for these meals than they are worth.

The reason the seal is a little harder to remove is due to it being vacuum sealed which allows us to preserve the food without using added preservatives, we are always looking for new options although we have not had any luck with a comparable seal at this point. I was so shocked & disappointed by…

I was so shocked & disappointed by these meals. They are bland, dry, tasteless, and very unappetizing. I tried four of the seven I ordered, to see if any tasted better than the last. They didn't. I threw the rest away and cancelled my subscription. Two examples: Greek Lemon Garlic Chicken. Dry, chicken was tough, no Feta cheese at all (as stated in description), STRONG flavor of way too much oregano (the only taste, almost used, it would seem to over compensate, for the lack of anything else.). Garlic Butter White Fish over Creamed kale & mixed squash. Fish was tasteless, no garlic butter, Kale was NOT creamed, squash was very dry & tasteless. With the seasoning stated on the meal labels, these dishes should have had at least some flavor, but there truly was none. I couldn't bring myself to try the remaining two meals in my order. As another poster said, meals are incredibly difficult to get into, which just added to the frustration of this food.

Fresh, healthy food!

I absolutely love the food selections… It is always very fresh, tasty, and just enough food for my meal. I also appreciate the simplicity. I was just putting into my lunchbox and taking it to work. I have tried many of these types of meals from other companies, but fresh and lean is far above the rest!

Good food, good price.

The food is quite tasty, though some dishes can be rather bland. I don't have a frame of reference for how much these services should cost, but I think Fresh N' Lean's product is competitive in both quality and cost.
