Sloane & Sons Teak Furniture Avis 97

High quality products delivered on time in my experience. We have ordered garden furniture and tub chairs from this company in the past - everything was A1.

My husband bought me an Oxford garden bench for Christmas. For obvious weather related reasons, we left it in its (undamaged) packaging in the garage until later in the Spring. When I came to construct it, I discovered that one of the diagonal sections of the backrest was damaged. I contacted Sloane and Sons, who were unhelpful and offered no resolution except for sending a bag of glue and some sandpaper in the post.

Had we bought the bench from Homebase, I might not have been so disappointed, but I was under the impression that we were buying a quality piece of furniture that would last for many years (hence the price). In fact, the diagonal backrest sections appear to be glued in place and the whole thing seems pretty flimsy, even leaving aside the damage.

Sloane and sons' reason for not offering an exchange was that we had not contacted them immediately after the bench arrived. My view is that if they aren't willing to guarantee the condition of their new products for more than a short period after delivery, they shouldn't be offering them for sale in the winter months.

In summary, I would recommend looking elsewhere for a higher quality product and better customer service.

Paid for bench in error - immediately cancelled and was promised prompt refund. Three weeks and three reminders later eventually got refund. Not good service in today's market

Well I ordered at 11am and my teak garden bench and cushion was delivered at 0840 the next morning. The delivery driver was excellent and unwrapped the bench for me and took the pallet away too. Very happy with the bench it’s solid and looks great

I love my Farleigh 5' teak bench with small dip in seat and cushioned cover
i can lie on my side ,with pillow,for a snooze (without falling out ! ! ) I can also
sit with a glass of wine on its wide arm and enjoy the sunset ! Or if you
prefer coffee at dawn (what ever is your cup of tea ! ! ! )

Excellent teak bench. Bought as a 25th anniversary suprise gift. Names and wedding date carved into the wood. Absolutely beautiful. Solid bench. Well worth the money. The couple loved it. Our new teak garden bench arrived within 24hours of ordering as promised. It was very easy to assemble, just tapping in dowels as indicated by the assembly plan and stickers on the arms, seat etc. Now that it has been sited in the garden, my wife and I can honestly say that it is a much needed and very attractive addition. The whole point to buying this garden bench is that I stipulated pre-assembled.
Left in the cardboard wrapper not assembled
Late service,pathetic excuse blaming the Suez Canal.
You can buy cheaper elsewhere so go elsewhere
