Overall a positive experience

Impressive sales experience over the phone. The chap certainly knew what he was talking about and answered questions professionally. Order placement was easy online, although we had to wait almost three weeks for delivery from placing the order. Installation team were friendly and efficient and ensured we were happy before leaving.

Okay......

The people who came to actually measure and install were lovely.
The worktop itself was gorgeous.

The customer service wasn't the best.
The didn't say that if you wanted the stone shelf that the bracket for it would have to be put fully into the wall by about 10cm. - this information would've been useful before I opted for it as the wall I was putting it on wasn't as exterior wall so I couldn't have the shelf in the end and had to redesign my layout. ( Also just note they don't install that bracket you're meant to do it yourself before they even come).

I then had to get 6mm holes put into my wall cladding for brackets for a different shelf instead and got a quote for this before it happened (quote per hole).
The quote the customer service gave me was just completely made up and didn't match the bill when I asked where she got the original number from she said it was the price after discount and basically sent me a quite patronising email explaining the maths.
Which still didn't make sense as the numbers she got before and after the discount still didn't match what she originally told me. Personally I think this is classed as false advertising, especially as I have the email where she said that number and showed it to her.

When I got the bill at the end it was incorrect and they over charged me because they hadn't removed the shelf so I had to contact them to get them to change it.

Also I now have the industrial brackets in my hall and they still haven't come to collect them. Said they were having issues with collecting and that I could take them to the post office and they reimburse me for delivery ..... these are industrial brackets and weigh atleast 20kg cos theres 4 in the box, you want me to carry that to a post office and then paid for it, I don't have much confidence I'd get the payment back after the mistakes with my bill.

My kitchen is fully installed and finished and I still have the brackets and after chasing up to get them to collect , they obviously don't care enough so I'll just get rid of them.

This was also on top of the fact I had to wait months to get it installed because the material I chose had delays ( not really their fault but the turn around time was meant to be 3 weeks so just a bad start to begin with).
So just overall wasn't the smoothest experience and I don't think I'd use them again.
However, the worktop is gorgeous and the installers were great as whoever was cutting the quartz made a mistake and they fixed it on site.

Avoid Gemini Worktops at all costs. 1 star is too much

Avoid Gemini Worktops at all costs. Took my money for a material which is out of stock and then said they cannot even manufacture the product they sold to me. After 3 months without a kitchen and having come up with a variety of different excuses, they are forcing me to either pay full price for a product I don’t want or they will simply walk away, leaving me with no kitchen. I have never had such a poor experience and would very strongly recommend not to pay any money to this company.

- This review has been confirmed by Gemini worktops as being factually correct 

- This has been one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had.
From the outset, I was explicitly and repeatedly clear that I would not accept a joined worktop under any circumstances. The ONLY reason I placed an order with Gemini was because I was assured by their own representative that an L-shaped quartz worktop could be manufactured and installed in a single piece. Had a join been mentioned as a possibility, I would never have proceeded.

- Matters deteriorated almost immediately. Only after I had paid a deposit of over £600 and a templater had attended site, I was informed that the specific surface I had ordered was out of stock and that I would have to wait approximately three months. This was information that should have been known — and disclosed — before taking my money, not afterwards.

After being forced to change material to something I don’t particularly like in order to avoid serious delay, Gemini then introduced yet another issue: they abruptly reversed their original commitment and claimed the L-shaped worktop they had promised was “not achievable”.
This claim directly contradicts:
- Their own templater, who attended site
- Their own designer 
- Our kitchen designer and our architect who have visited multiple times
- Gemini’s own published guidance on maximum sizes for joint-free worktops

After extensive pressure and having wasted two over two months Gemini finally agreed to produce a MDF template to confirm once and for all that the worktop could be installed in one piece.

When it arrived, they had made only half of the work surface so I was forced to buy MDF and arrange for someone to fix it to the piece supplied. It fitted perfectly with no difficulties

Gemini then came up with a different excuse - the deliberately vague ‘health and safety’ concerns. They have failed to send any decision maker to my property and simply come up with one excuse after another from their office. They are currently pushing me to pay for a joined worktop, the very thing that I was clear I would never accept

Their internal communication appears completely dysfunctional. Decisions are being made by people who have never seen my property, overriding those who have. 

Meanwhile, we are struggling with a massive delay in getting our kitchen finished. There is no urgency, no accountability, and no genuine attempt to resolve a problem entirely of their own making.

This experience strongly resembles mis-selling: take the order on the basis of assurances, then change the product and change the terms once the customer is financially committed.

If you value your time, your money, or your peace of mind, do not trust Gemini Worktops. When problems arise — and they do — they do not stand by what they sell.

To ensure everything is clear and transparent, we’d like to confirm the following:

- You were initially quoted £3,232.21 for three worktops with matching upstands in Fia Tempesta 20mm, including all cut-outs, templating, and installation
- During templating, a joint was discussed, however the sink run was later designed as a single piece following on-site discussion
- Upon further review, health and safety concerns were identified regarding access and the feasibility of installing a piece of that size
- We contacted you to explain this and discuss alternative options
- You confirmed that you did not wish to proceed with the revised proposal
- As a result, we cancelled your order and provided a full refund

At all times, our priority has been to ensure the safety of both our customers and installation team, while working with you to find a suitable solution.

We would also like to clarify a few points raised:

- We did not require or force you to proceed with any alternative product or material
- Any revised options discussed were based purely on practical and safety considerations, not preference or cost
- We did not request additional payment outside of standard process, any costs discussed were only in relation to progressing an amended order

We’re sorry this situation caused frustration. While we always aim to deliver a seamless experience, there are times when site conditions require us to prioritise the health and safety of our installers. In these situations, we may need to make difficult but necessary decisions to ensure everyone on site is protected, while still considering what is practical and achievable.

I have contacted them twice to inform them we can no longer go ahead with our kitchen project so have requested a refund of the deposit paid for the worktop but have not heard back from them.

Just perfect.

So, I had explored a number of options for updating our kitchen, including other materials and quartz overlays. To be honest, I made an enquiry with Gemini as a bit of a wildcard expecting them to be outside my budget for solid quartz.

I had the property particulars from when I purchased our house new about 5 years ago and it was super simple for me to upload the kitchen plan with measurements.

The next day Josh, gave me a call, explained everything and provided me with a quote for a couple of different materials and I was shocked at how reasonable they were. In fact, they were the cheapest of all the options I’d explored.

The samples arrived the next day and I picked the cheapest out of the options (because it was my favourite, not for the price.) I had a few more questions, which Josh answered very quickly and the order was placed!

I paid my template fee, and the template appointment was arranged. Now, yes, it is a bit of a faff, having to remove the old worktops for the template, but I was surprised at how easy it was to do myself. If you’re upgrading laminate, you’ll probably find there’s just a few screws holding them to the carcasses and a couple bolts holding them together.

Having removed my worktops, then panic set in. Something was surely bound to come up in the template, an increase in price, or a reason it couldn’t be done. The template was so simple and the gent (sorry I didn’t catch his name) really pleasant and reassuring.

When the template team reviewed the measurements. I was shocked to find that the quote had actually gone down because I’d allowed a little here and there to make sure the quote was as close to being right as possible. Which I thought was really honest, after all, I was happy with the quote I’d been given.

Then panic set in again while I waited for my worktops to be manufactured and installed.

I think my install date was about 2 and a half weeks or so after the template. Installation day came, and I was dreading it, sure something would go wrong. EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT!

I am honestly over the moon with my ‘new’ kitchen - it certainly looks like one! And I feel silly for the moments of panic but I genuinely thought it was too good to be true.

Two minor points of constructive feedback.
1. I took advantage of the interest free credit (thank you, great added bonus!) but it wasn’t obvious you had to pay the remainder of the deposit before you could apply for the credit. Perhaps you could make this clearer in the portal, which is otherwise great, by the way.
2. I found the guides handy, but a little overwhelming if I’m honest. Not sure if it’s just me or if they could be improved to be less daunting. Something to think about, maybe?

A very slick process

A very slick process. Customer portal easy to use for booking of template.
Templater very thorough and helpful with a few tiny amendments.
Slight delay for arrival of the stone but we were kept updated and it didn’t worry us to rush.
The installers couldn’t silicone as they only had white which we didn’t want as it wouldn’t have matched so we’ll have to do that ourselves. That would be my only critique.
For the money we saved using a nationwide company we are extremely pleased with the product.

Gemini were good

Gemini were good. Reasonable price and brilliant worktop. The wait was a little long (c 3 weeks) and had to go with second choice as type we wanted was out of stock. We were told this after template day so had locked in with Gemini. Overall a good service once you have the worktops in. They look great.

I found Gemini via their advertising on Instagram

I found Gemini via their advertisement online and once contacted them, samples were sent and I picked my worktop for my refurbishment. Made the relevant, staged payments, measurements made and the installation process was seamless from the enquiry stage to the final installation. I'll 100% be using them again for other projects.

Was a bit disappointed it was three weeks from templating to fitting the worktop which is longer than the website states.

On day of fitting we had arrival time 2-5pm and they arrived after 5pm but then we’re gone at nearly 7pm, so we couldn’t use the kitchen for our toddler’s dinner that day which wasn’t ideal. Especially as the fitter said it would only be 40-45 minutes on arrival.
