Incompetent

Do not buy from this company. They are useless and try and turn everything back on their customers. Just look at their comments, always gaslighting the issue. I had to fight, repeatedly send emails to then and at times they were heated. They have zero, and I mean ZERO respect for how a business is supposed to be run. I filed a complaint with the BBB after being given the runaround and finally got a refund for one of the products when I order two and wished to be refunded for both. They refused to refund the second product because they said I was aggressive.
Learn how to run a business and maybe you wouldn’t have to deal with aggressive behaviour.
You’re all like a bunch of incompetent toddlers who have no idea what they are doing.

If anyone truly respects themselves I would suggest flying to china to pick up your own product from their so called warehouse. You’d actually get your product and would have to deal with such an amateurish fake company.
Maybe a little news story about shady business practices would shake you guys up a bit.

Delay shipping time and no communication

On their website they stated order will be shipped out within 3-5 days, this is false, it has been 10 days without any update on shipping.
Update: As they have been very cooperating with refund. I'm giving 3 star

Product not shipped even after one month of order placed

i have ordered Onyx Boox Tab Ultra C - 10.3-inch Kaleido 3 color e-note on 23.05.23 having order I'd #351751 but it is showing order in processing till date, no status changed from last almost one month and now these days I am not getting any reply from customer care side as i don't want Product, i want my money back. Totally pissed off with good e reader team.

Avoid this scammy company!!

As many other reviewers have noted, this site is basically operating a scam. They're a dropshipper -- you'll be charged by a Canadian company, but your order will be fulfilled from China, Taiwan or Hong Kong.

This means that you will very likely get your item at a cheaper price on AliExpress or similar. There are no consumer protections conferred by using Good E-Reader: if you read their (illegal) terms and conditions, you'll see that if any problems occur with your device, you're expected to ship it back to Asia at your own expense -- note that this will include any taxes levied, which can be considerable.

Further, many customers have reported significant difficulties receiving support from the company -- in other words, good luck getting a return authorization. The only way to deal with them appears to be to threaten them, and in order to do this, you need to make sure you buy the item using a credit card company who will support a chargeback claim. A number of people have said threatening a chargeback is the only way to get service.

I should point out that it took me quite a bit of sleuthing to find this guy's real address in order to send the unit i bought back to him. The one they publish is made up -- not a good sign. Even then welched on his deal to cover my shipping & tax costs. In the end I was forced to do a chargeback.

Finally, the fella running this outfit is rather unhinged. He's clearly looking for a fight and slings insults without provocation. So you're likely to get a bunch of these as you pursue whatever restitution you're looking for.

In summary: do what everyone else is telling you. AVOID.

p.s. whatever this company says in reply, take my advice -- ignore it.

Beware - Scam/Fraud

Beware, this site appears to be mail fraud/scam.

When you order, they will send the wrong product and not communicate.

They stole several hundred dollars from me.

DO NOT BUY FROM GoodEReader.com !!!!!!

Communication could have been more…

Communication could have been more professional. It's not clear when ordering that the site functions as a third-party that will place orders on your behalf with the company that makes the device you are ordering. I ordered two devices from different companies thinking that they would both be shipped from Good E-Reader but two separate orders were placed on my behalf with their respective companies. One could be completed and the other could not. I did receive the one device in perfect conditions and it took about a month from order placed to received.

Delivery cost extreme for Netherlands

I don't like that I needed to pay FedEx additional 145 euro for delivery even if I already paid delivery 30 euro during ordering from GE-reader. So delivery was approx 180euro and I wouldn't purchase the device Onyx Boox ultra C if I knew that.

Beware of hidden costs

I paid $45.07 extra for a duty surcharge from this company, which is based in Canada. This was not mentioned at the point of purchase. When I pointed it out in an email I was accused of libel. If you look on Reddit and Google Reviews, GoodEreader gets overwhelmingly negative reviews, and 45 percent give just 1 star here on Trustpilot. They have nothing but disdain and sarcastic comments for their customers, and accuse them of theft, libel, lies and deceit. Their record of shabby, incompetent service is amply documented in the reviews below. Most of the positive reviews here are bland and slick, and seem planted. The reviews and videos of Michael on ‘Good’ Ereader are nothing but sleek info-commercials to push product. And yet they just stand by and continue to scam, and snark at, their customers. Class action lawsuit anyone?

Long Shipping Delay

I did not initially receive a tracking number or any shipment updates. I sent a support request to the vendor a week after I ordered asking for a tracking number.
I got a tracking number 20 days after my initial purchase.
The tracking number did not link to or mention the courier service. I had to search and discover that it was DHL by myself.
The package was held for a week at this time because of a duty fee upon entering Canada. I did not receive a notification from the vendor or DHL about this. I had to figure it out on my own after putting considerable time into investigating the shipping delay.
Overall I had a bad experience with Good E-Reader. This is unfortunate since they offer a specialized line of products that are hard to get elsewhere.

Everything went wrong

Everything went wrong - poor communication with an order that was delayed for weeks and weeks. The website is horrible. I thought I was ordering from the Vancouver outlet. Turns out it was from the USA where they lost my order. I was lied to by a rep when they said they had the item in stock. They did NOT. Lied to when they said 10 days shipping or less. Took almost 30 days. Had to pay an extortion fee (import duty) to get my order after I specifically wanted it to come from Canada (Vancouver). If I could give ZERO stars, I would. Will NEVER recommend this online purchase to anyone. The biggest problem is the online store. Why in God's name doesn't the country (Canada) change when it should recognize where the order is emminating from. Pathetic!

No reply from customer care

Its been a week since I have ordered my Mira 13.3 Monitor. There is no update regarding when it is going to be shipped. I tried contacting customer service through email. But they have not replied to the email either.

Excellent service

As usual, excellent service and professional. It was delivered in less than 10 days.
However, for international purchases, I would recommend adding tracking number so I can know if the shipment is delayed.

Went great.

Recieved my order (poke5) within a bit more than two week, so excellent quality/price for the delivery.

And they do great youtube videos!

Expensive shipping and S-L-O-W

$15 standard shipping for a single stylus. Two weeks later, my order hasn't even shipped yet; the status still says "Processing."

Edit: I read a few other reviews they responded to after I'd posted this. I'm astonished at the company's petulant, sarcastic tone:

"Do you want me to include the tracking number for everyone to see, at the risk of someone redirecting it to their own address?" -- to multiple customers.

"Thanks for the glowing review, you are a tremendous customer" -- to someone who posted a poor review.

"Supporter of small business? Is this why you opened a credit card dispute?" -- Supporting small business certainly doesn't mean a customer shouldn't file a dispute when warranted.

Their website touts fast shipping, but they excuse themselves by saying "We are a small company and ship as soon as we can." Fast shipping or 'as soon as we can?' Pick one. More than two weeks is not fast shipping in my book.

I've purchased multiple devices from this company (and they did arrive), but this attitude on top of slow shipping really puts me off. I don't see any advantage to buying directly from the manufacturer when possible, and when that's not possible, I guess I'll just go without.

Very bad customer service

Very bad customer service! They do not supply you with any tracking number when they "ship" your order. They do not answer emails, unless you threaten to cancel the order/ give you refund. Just don't waste your time and money with Good E Reader!
