No one will reply just a bot
They moved my domains from force9 but they were 2 private domains force9 allocated me for long service been with them since day 1 Greenby have had my account for 3 weeks now my emails don’t work so far they have had £30 and now demanding another £7 but their system won’t let me pay it
It just crashes out
I have had my email addresses over 20 years some for 2FA they are holding me to ransom I keep paying but they want more I can’t contact my associates to tell them to change my emails so I have to stick with them and pay I have 2 domains that were hosted by F9 and the relevant email accounts that went with them
Greenby just is not interested they just take the money yet can’t even be bothered to respond
The bot always says an agent will be with you but I have waited hours daily and no one responds
After a few hours waiting the site crashes out and we start all over again I can’t believe how bad this Greenby is it’s like dealing with scammers
Not a well managed migration from…
Not a well managed migration from Plusnet's own email. Tons of spam, many with virus' and the server is often unavailalble. Poor coms and very dissapointed that Plusnet have gone this route.
Greenby - Avoid at all costs
Pity there is no way of rating with Zero Stars.
Awful, email very intermittent.
Only been with them a few days and only had email access for a few hours every day.
A very slow response from Greenby support.
AI Bot next to useless. No Human response on chat after an hour of waiting.
I can't see Greenby lasting long with this level of professionalism.
Worst email company in the world, why did Plusnet select them. There must be better alternatives.
Will be leaving Plusnet and Greenby as soon as possible.
I suspect Plusnet is off-loading its email service so it can be merged into BT at some point in the future.
So another migration and disaster awaits I suspect.
Plusnet should have halted migration a long time ago after seeing the mess they have been causing in previous months.
Stay away from Greenby. (and Plusnet).
A total shambles!
Shame on Plusnet for offloading their loyal customer's email on to one of the worst webmail companies I've come across in Greenby. Half the time my log isn't recognised, then when I can eventually log on the page times out before my emails appear. Then when I do eventually get to access my emails managing loading, deleting and composing emails runs at a snails pace. Its like a return to the dark ages. I always dreaded the day that I might be forced to change my email provider and email address - with the disruption that comes with it, as my existing one has been with me since I first owned a computer, many, many years ago. However this whole experience is so bad that I can't wait to jump ship fast enough. Thanks Plusnet!
Greenby can't provide an email service
My Plusnet email has just migrated to Greenby. I was able to log in initially. About an hour later I couldn't. The AI Bot claimed my email hadn't migrated even though I could have only logged in to Greenby after my account was transferred.
Eventually it suggested I try logging in to the Webmail. No luck, several different errors reported suggesting their servers had an issue. AI Bot stopped responding but did tell me that someone would email when they could. Good luck doing that then!
Both Greenby and Plusnet have lost me as a customer.
Many problems with force9 migration from plusnet
Too many issues to list, but:
Server settings eventually worked OK after contacting Greenby support who were quite helpful once you got past the AI Bot. The AI Bot was not bad, but can't fix anything, so you have to wait for a human to intervene.
Can't pay the £15 subscription as my address details were not transferred, although plusnet had them correctly.
I was set up with a default email of mydomain (at) mydomain.f9.co.uk which is unhelpful as I'd previously blackholed that via plusnet forwarding because of excessive spam in the past.
Tried to get it all sorted via support and I now seem to be unable to change or check anything useful, with a very limited range of options when logging in. It is not at all good, and plusnet, where I can still login, is even worse - can't join the forums for help.
If at all possible, you might be best to forward all your email to a different supplier like gmail, or one of the micro$oft 365 options, though my recent experience of outlook.com has been very problematic too. Once the former plusnet services have settled down on Greenby, it might be ok to start using it again
Greenby very unresponsive
Have issue with 2FA lockout from my account. Have found Greenby very unresponsive. No telephone support. Ineffective chat bot is the only means of contact. Their response times are woeful. Will probably close my account and oopen a webmail account with a serious provider.
Contacted Greenby several times through…
Contacted Greenby several times through AI bot faults corrected but now they have created a couple of duplicate folders which I can’t view on all devices. So I am copying a lot of saved emails to Gmail, may move to that if it’s not sorted.
Plusnet has failed its longstanding and loyal customers.
Plusnet sold out to BT so that is probably where things started to go downhill! I've been a Plusnet email user for 20+ years - no problems during those times and they ware staffed with efficient and knowledgeable human beings you could always talk to and that has stayed the same to this very day.
The transfer to Greenby has been an ongoing frustration which borders on a complete shambles and Plusnet clearly share some of the blame. MY SUGGESTION TO ANYONE READING THIS IS FIND A BETTER ALTERNATIVE TO GREENBY AS QUICKLY AS YOU CAN!
Disastrous service
Mailbox stopped responding. Wasted hours trying to get a sensible response from the bot. It at first denied my account had been migrated from Plusnet, later it admitted it had and promised to sort out the problem. It appeared to be a password issue. It promised to send reset code which never arrived. Meanwhile some but not all emails appeared. Said to login on website, this failed. Asked for further reset code, none arrived and the bot stopped responding. Still not resolved. I had used Plusnet for my more important stuff, their service and security was good. Greenby’s service is absolute rubbish, and I can’t even speak to a human to sort it out. All my important email history is at risk and since I can’t even get into the account I can’t easily transfer anything to another provider. Avoid at all cost!
My email is working but my web site is locked.
My email is working. I am using Thunderbird. To the people trying to use Outlook I suggest they try Thunderbird.
My website on plusnet was disabled because it exceeded the stingy usage allowance but it has been transfered to greenby and is now enabled. So I tried uploading stuff to it. I managed one folder but after that FTP fails on every thing. I can not find any way to fix it.
Greenby - Dreadful - Dont use them
Greenby have taken over from Plusnet and today they closed my force9 account which I've had for more than 2 decades 2 days early . Ever since the migration of my mail to them it hasn't worked properly, about a week ago a fix was applied that let me at least get my email in Outlook but I still couldn't send. They still wanted me to pay £15 to keep the account even though it only worked in their awful Webmail client. Today after I requested to be put in touch with their Customer Service dept as the resolution of the Outlook client issue was going round in circles without resolution, they closed my force9 account leaving me now with immense contact and service problems linked to this terminated email address.
It works as it should
As expected during the migration of an email system from one server to another, after a period of intermittently working email and being unable to log on, now that the migration from Plusnet has been reported as completed, my email is now working.
The webmail works, and my PC based email client that was set up before the migration continues to work with no setting changes being needed. Email is working as it should and I have no reasons to complain.
Emails not working server error
Emails not working server error . Greenby don't respond. Not a good start is this the best they can do ???
Terrible service
Terrible service, little communication and when my email was migrated from Plusnet it stopped working. I tried contacting Greenby and went through the process with their AI bot and then heard nothing.
Appalling service.
My elderly relative was moved from…
My elderly relative was moved from Plusnet. No communication. No instructions. It’s only because I work in IT I was able to find the magic login combinations with both email client and web page login. By the time we logged in found we had to less than 25 days to pay before his account was suspended. Fortunately he let me know his email had stopped working the day it did - it was only by Google chance we stumbled across Greenby… obviously Plusnet shares some of this blame.
Greenby DISASTER!
Like others that have left reviews. I have no working email anymore - a service that had worked faultlessly for 25 years with Plusnet. It is my company email and personal and user by the government, banks, customers, etc. and now I have NOTHING. And no way to contact them. Unlike others I haven't been asked to pay anything yet but it looks like that doesn't work either. Plusnet were great, these guys are worse than useless.
Greenby has no support
My email has been migrated to Greenby from Plusnet. I did not get the promised advance notice of the migration (which is a Plusnet issue), and it has taken over two weeks to get all the emails migrated. Plusnet support was helpful with that.
Now I am trying to get help on how to use Greenby, but their AI support has today been downgraded from an AI with some (not very helpful) specific information to Claude, the AI from Anthropic, which has not Greenby-specific information and advises contacting Greenby support directly, even when it is contacted by opening a Ticket on the Greenby website. Effectively, this means that Greenby is providing no support at all.
Since they offer no other contact information, their customers - all migrated from Plusnet - are left high and dry.
Useless - Have effectively stolen my email account
I received an email telling that my old force9/Plusnet email had been transferred to this company, despite having no prior warning.
Immediately my access to this email account via Outlook and my phone ceased, despite their claims that nothing would change.
I am unable to login via their webmail portal, and there is no way of contacting them.
I did find a webchat on their site, which was mysteriously ended as soon as the AI could no longer help, and the link to it was then removed.
Absolutely shocking that they can do this, and not provide any way of contacting the company.
Absolute shambles! Shocking service! Email still not working after more than 2 weeks
Free-online email for 20 years. Migrated more than 2 weeks ago. What a mess! Nothing has worked since. They couldn’t even bring over my mailbox with my actual email address. I’ve been unable to fully send, receive or reply to emails since via webmail or Outlook. They keep telling me they’ve fixed it and they haven’t. They don’t seem to know what they’re doing. Their customer support portal is as broken as the rest of their service. It feels as if they’re still building their site whilst migrating customers over, staffed by people who don’t seem able to fix their own site!
There’s no phone number to ring so you can’t speak to anyone when you need to; it’s all at their whim and control via a broken ticket-raising system.
Yet the pressure is on to pay the subscription before they block my access. I’ve asked them to extend that period under the circumstances and they’ve ignored me! I’m at my wits’ end as to what I can do to get Greenby to fix the problem they have created. I would have been happy to pay Plusnet to stay with them. Greenby is nothing but problems and stress. I have no confidence or trust in their service or technical ability. Any ideas on where to turn/how to get them to fix the mess they’ve created, please would someone share.
