Greene King Oxton. Great position but poor unattractive seating and only four tables with parasols during a heatwave. Food served quickly and was fine Staff again were the biggest disappointment... Voir plus

England flags not allowed
They don't allow the entrance to people wearing or showing an English flag.
Absolutely disgusting.
Go and check the video of the Manor Farm pub.
We are making a list to share of their pubs to avoid them.

Lovely meal and excellent, friendly and efficient service by Aimee. Food was delicious and freshly cooked. Just wish we lived nearer to visit more often. Thank h you.

New menu at cotton wheel Aylesbury AMAZING…
Go to the cotton wheel in Aylesbury maybe once a week to be fair it’s not bad on food and price. But OMG went there tonight for dinner and their new menu is amazing I had a katsu feast and I usually don’t eat all my dinner but I polished that off. Service was great always friendly with a smile.
Big shout out to the assistant manager Dwayne goes above and beyond a real gent can always have a laugh.
Would also like to mention the waitress Kelsey she is always amazing and works really hard well work employee of the week.

i have been using the Ship Inn Cobham for many years and booked a table on friday 17 th october 19.15 ,on arrival there was only two staff the manager and the under manager no other staff , a full house whilst awaiting for 15 mins for a drink because no one to see us to the table,we sat down and ordered 4 meals after 45 mins the food arrivered cold ecept one meal ,i did complain and excepted a 2 meal discount ,i do hope that my local pub goes down hill again as it has done many times in the past ,dissapointed with Green King for letting a loveley country pub going back to bad reviews.regards Colin Tuffield.
Waited 55 minutes for food
Waited 55 minutes for food. Obviously understaffed. Asked for shepherds pie. When it came it was overcooked rack of lamb sitting on mashed potato, with some shreds of chopped up lettuce. Managed to eat about half of it. Then the price: £24.95! The meat would have cost about £1.50, so terrible value. I shall avoid all Green King venues in the future.
Friendly staff and really good value…
Friendly staff and really good value food and drink.
Shocking customer service
Shocking customer service. We visited a greene king establishment and enjoyed our meals( family of 7) as we were on holiday and it was a birthday. We paid and walked off into the town. Imagine our embarrassment when we were approached by a member of the team some 150- 200 yards away asking if we had paid! Obviously we had but we had paid for the wrong table. Other people were looking at us as it appeared we had walked out without payment. We were asked to go back and pay the £30 difference. We returned to the pub and was met by a rude manager asking for full payment. It was their mistake not ours! She said it would be “awkward” to pay the difference so would refund the card. If she would like to know what awkward is perhaps she should experience being stopped in the street and asked to return…..for £30!
I e mailed customer relations and got a generic e mail back stating that staff had been retrained in getting the table numbers right. Bet that was a long drawn out training session. I wasn’t happy with the response so suggested an area manager call. After numerous e mails chasing up the call a week later he calls. Seemed very apologetic about the whole farce and as gesture of goodwill woul send me a gift card. Unfortunately that’s where his interest in the matter stopped as four weeks later no card. Very very poor service from not only the crab inn at shanklin, but the customer relations team, the area manager and the regional manager as no call received from him. Come on Greene king, with the hospitality industry in problems across the country at least get the basics right. Sadly my faith in Greene king is lost.
Rip Greene king.
The staff are courteous
The staff are courteous, attentive and cheerful. The food is very good and real value for money. The beers are good too.
Unfortunately the pub itself is tired looking and the toilet facilities are dire.
GK needs to support their staff and provide a better environment for them, to do their jobs and to give patrons a more enjoyable surrounding.
Belhaven Best in Cans
The company had removed the widget from Belhaven Best cans, there is now no creamy head, the taste is different as is the colour. Nothing like the draught when previously it was very close. I will not be buying the cans again, whomever was in charge of the change needs sacked. I would say this is one of the worst changes to an established brand I have ever come across other than Guinness’s red Guinness
Discount Card Scam?
Be careful. They advertise drinks at £2.25 then charge £3.49.
The £3.49 price does not appear on their menu anywhere, or on their website.
Apparently if you use a Blue Light Card they bump the prices up. Very strange.
I would like to feedback how excellent…
I would like to feedback how excellent the Spyglass and Kettle staff are. Having recently moved to the Southbourne area, my family and I have visited here in the week and at weekends for various occasions (drinks, roast, bar snacks, weeknight dinners). All the staff are so coirteous and work so hard and clearly have a great rapport. The landlady is excellent and it is clear this flows down to all members of staff who also speak her praises. The staff are knowledgeable, kind, consisered and testament to British service industries excellence. The kitchen staff work so hard and Sunday roasts have been the most delicious that last four weeks. You will hear many customers commenting this on a Sunday. It is a pleasure to have an amazing pub with AMAZING food nearby.
I Recommend the Drawbridge in Bristol City…
Went to the Drawbridge in Bristol City Centre today, staff were so friendly and helpful. I ordered battered Cod & Chips with Mushy Peas. Came hot, well presented with 1/2 lemon and tartar sauce... it was brilliant. Very tasty and I polished it all off. Can say for certain it was the best Greene King meal I've had for a long time... and I passed my compliments on to the staff. Would well recommend.
We went to the Windmill in West Swindon…
We went to the Windmill in West Swindon on a couple of occasions when we were visiting relatives. Great atmosphere and Brilliant staff and customers. Unfortunately my wife had an accident and ended up going to the hospital. Arron and his team along with some fantastic customers were very supportive and took great care of my wife until the Ambulance arrived. As we live hundreds of miles away we have not been able to get back to thank everyone but we hope that we can pay another visit soon
Great staff clean rooms and treated like a human being not just a numbera
We went to Pen and Parchment in Stratford and although we had to leave early as the room was so hot, this could not be avoided it was the hottest day of the year and sleep was impossible, the staff were sympathetic and gave us 2 fans to try to manage the heat, they told us the situation would be reviewed asap and arranged a refund. We also ate in the pub restaurant and had no complaints about the food or service with plenty of dietry needs catered for
Overcharged underwhelming food
Don’t know what’s happened to the Perry at chapel house used this pub along time for a quick lunch today went up order 2 meals off classic menu a water and lemonade were charged £19.64 with blue light discount so overcharged then when food come chips were awful I know they frozen as we know but they’ve changed we won’t go back now
Really poor mismanaged pub
We booked a Sunday meal for 2 at the Old. Rooms in Weymouth. Not busy, but hard to get staffs attention when we arrived. We tried to order food, only to find that they had sold out of most of the food on the menu. No roasts or 90% of their signature meals. 3 other couples who came in, just left due to no real alternatives. We ended up with 1 steak and 1 chicken pie which was only warm. ( not acceptable ) Yes they may of been busy earlier in the day but come on, running out of food is really something down to poor management. Yes we could of had mac & cheese or burger or2 other items. We wanted a decent meal and if you advertise sunday roasts etc you should be able to manage to give paying customers the meals you show on your menu.
I booked specifically for a roast
I booked specifically for a roast, no roasts available when we arrived, but others got roasts after us , apparently they booked online so got preference , at the greengage bury st edmunds
todays was the worst meal we've had in Weymouth
todays was the worst meal we've had in a long time, waited nearly an hour for 3 simple roast dinners, 1 had to have a substitute meat as the turkey had run out but we were not told at the time of ordering, food was not that hot, gravy missing from one meal and the 4th in our party of 4 had ordered gammon but the pineapple was missing, after being told it was on it's way, it never turned up, although staff did come and apologise, we informed them that we we were not happy, had we not paid for the meal first, we would not have paid the full price for the meal
Rude Staff and Manager from Windmill Farm - Dining & Carvery
After eating at Windmill Farm, I can say I will never step foot in there ever again. First of all, they took 20 minutes to take away the plates as they were 'Short Staffed'. They also had no stuffing, which was unacceptable, and as you think it can't get any worse, it can! The Manager came complaining that underage kids were drinking lemonade from a wine glass, and proceeded to take the wine glass while whining about policy in the most unprofessional way possible. I would not recommend coming here, anywhere is better.
