i had a operation 9 years ago, fused c5,6,7. since then i have had neck and shoulder pain. i tried every pillow under the sun and a shoulder and neck heat pack..i was not sure if this pillow would work, first few nights to a bit of getting you too . but it worked, i not saying its 100 % better for me but definitely 95 %. Pain in my shoulders has gone, pain in my lower neck gone. i still got some pain in my upper neck but i think that’s old age. I’m glad i brought the adjustable pillow for a few pounds more. i would defiantly recommend trying this pillow as it works

I was looking for a v pillow that was not so soft ! And found groove pillows. So brought the v pillow and adjustable pillows .the adjustable pillow is great as you can take out different pieces where you need to , like neck or overall hight or just shoulder hight if it feels too high there .as I have fibromyalgia this is very helpful as it is quick and easy to do and I can change it to how I feel at the time .the v pillow you can take out stuffing if it is too much too ,but have not needed to do this . V pillow seems to me much more soft ,and could not sadly add any more stuffing to it ! But I am using both at times as the v pillow is great for when I am sitting and reading , and long enough to wrap round me ,as I am only 5 ft and the v pillow is extra long 👍⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

100 night guarantee is not as promised - you must retain packaging and you pay for return. Given the reasonable size and heft of pillow, I anticipate this won’t be cheap.
Pillow did nothing to assist with neck pain. Disappointed.

Edited to add - Groove Pillows have contacted me to ask me to take down this review in return for a full refund and not having to return the pillow. I consider this extremely unethical. The advertised ‘risk free 100 night guarantee’ is not as advertised.

I have just purchased my 2nd Groove pillow. I have cervical stenosis and would wake in the night with very painful headaches and a stiff neck. After buying enough different pillows to open a market stall I finally found one that worked for me. After getting used to the pillow the headaches stopped and over time the stiffness went too. The pillow I have just purchased has a cool cover. My face gets very hot at night and have found a real difference using this version of the Groove pillow. I take my pillow on holiday so have also just purchased their bag to carry it in this will make it easier than carrying a pillow under my arm whilst dealing with a suitcase. The bag has a handle as well as a shoulder strap it is nice and compact because you just roll up the pillow and place it inside

I have neck and shoulder issues over the last 5yrs due to holding and bandaging huge lymphoedema legs.
Laying on my back on the groove pillow is so comfortable, but if I turn onto my side when I’m asleep I don’t think I position my head and neck in the right place. As I wake up with painful and tight neck and shoulder muscles.
Having said that I am sleeping longer than I used to before I have a week break

Ordered pillow and it came within 2 days. Excellent pillow. I’m sleeping far better now and my neck and shoulder pain has decreased significantly.

I’ve used this for three weeks now. It has been very comfortable. It doesn’t bunch up or need ré plumping in the night like my old pillows. It hasn’t felt hot. It feels supportive and so far seems to be easing the neck tension I suffered from. Maybe a bit soon to tell whether it has stopped the neck tension headaches I have had for a number of years sporadically.

Highly effective and by being adjustable hopefully most people can find their most effective height. Actually, I’m not 6’ - yet I find the full height of the pillow works best for me. Maybe, I have a big head!!! 😀 Be sure to experiment and to read the recommended adjustment on the website. The pillow has zips so one can access the innards to adjust accordingly. Enjoy extra comfort, better posture and hopefully an uninterrupted sleep - which is what I’ve experienced. Truly brilliant as I have had a trapped nerve in my neck/shoulder and symptoms of sciatica in my lower back. This pillow encourages the correct spinal alignment and has thereby aided my sleep significantly.

Hi this was for my son he had a painful neck but groove pillow has helped him a lot.

Pillow was very comfortable from the start- I previously had a different neck type pillow so am used to a similar kind of shape, but this one is far better all round. The moulded shape fits nicely and it's very comfortable and supportive when laying on my side as I mostly do. With other pillows I could often wake up with an achey neck & shoulder from that position, and I'd keep trying to squash a standard pillow into a better shape under my neck and shoulder, but this is moulded really well and feels very supportive, comfortable and that i'm in a better posture. The cotton case fits the shape perfectly but I found that my normal pillow cases still fit fine as well. I had no problems with the ordering process & it arrived very quickly, so my experience has been all positive. I've had it for about a year so far, and am going to buy one for a couple of my family members to see if it helps them. I would definitely recommend anyone to get one to try out!

I bought the Groove Adjustable pillow in February 2026, and it has been a fantastic investment. As a petite woman (5'0"), the customer support team was incredibly helpful, guiding me on which layers to remove to get the perfect height.

Since using it, my neck pain has significantly reduced and I wake up feeling refreshed. It was so effective that I even let my elderly mother try it while on holiday; she suffers from neck spondylosis, and this is the only pillow that has given her relief! I ended up gifting her my one and now I'll buy another for myself.

Highly recommended for everyone, whether you suffer from neck pain or just want a great night's sleep!

Although too early to say the pillow works as suffering with a whiplash injury. But the pillow is well made, was packaged very well and arrived promptly after ordering. Only time will tell but so far happy with the product.

After many years and hundreds of pillows not helping my neck ache I decided to give Groove pillows a chance and was very sceptical at first but was delighted in the big improvement it made on my neck in such a short time.i will certainly buy again.

A very comfortable pillow delivers everything it says it will. Since using it I have slept consistently better than before I began using it.

Customer service is also excellent.

Disappointing! The pillow is well made, delivery was fast and customer services are responsive. BUT the pillow is very much too low for me with broad shoulders (much less broad than the average larger man I imagine though) so when I side sleep even on the edges of the pillow I am uncomfortable. It is very difficult to roll from back to side and get your head in the right place without waking yourself up! Customer advice was prompt and polite but consisted of adding a towel to boost height, and making sure my head remained in place suggested during the night which is not practical frankly. For me sadly this has been a waste of money and I would caution any larger broad shouldered folks against it

I bought the Groove Original specifically because it is marketed as a pillow for neck pain, with claims such as “Pain Relief or Your Money Back” and a “100 Night Free Trial” described as “completely risk-free.”
Unfortunately, my experience was very different. Despite giving the pillow a proper trial and trying different ways of using it, it actually made my neck and shoulder pain worse rather than providing the advertised relief.
I contacted Groove to arrange a return and was told I could receive a full refund, but I would have to pay the return postage myself. I questioned this because I do not consider a trial to be “completely risk-free” when a customer can be left out of pocket after the product fails to provide the advertised benefit.
Groove maintained that the pillow was not faulty and that it was simply a matter of individual suitability. I appreciate that everyone’s experience with a pillow can differ, but I do think consumers should be able to question strong claims such as “Pain Relief or Your Money Back” and “completely risk-free.”
I am disappointed with both the product and the way the “risk-free” trial is presented.
Unfortunately, based on my experience, I would not recommend this pillow for neck pain.
