Professional advice given in a sympathetic way

I have spoken to 3 Health Hero doctors regarding a health concern I have had for 2 months. The information provided and 2 referral letters to my GP surgery resulted in a quicker diagnosis and medication. It was such a relief that the medication removed the chronic pain and allowed me to return to my active lifestyle within a couple if days.

Could get an appointment on the same day and was spoken to within hours. They sympathized with my symptoms (vertigo /labyrinthitis) as they had experienced the same themselves, gave me a prescription that I could collect from anywhere on the same day and could even give it to my husband to pick up. I do worry and normally avoid doctors / surgery but next time I need to, I would contact them first if not an emergency as could have a consultation from home.

Honestly, I’m still having a “pinch me, was it really that easy?” moment!

I’ve now used this service three times, and every single time I’ve been genuinely impressed. The service has been impeccable from start to finish.

The first time I used it, I called very late at the weekend, fully expecting to get an automated message telling me to wait until normal hours or giving me information about what to do next. Instead, I was offered an appointment for 1:00am — which, considering how late I had called, was absolutely perfect and exactly what I needed. I accepted the appointment, received the link, and everything was sorted. Prescription done. It really was that simple.

The second time, I called around lunchtime expecting two things: firstly, that I’d be waiting ages for someone to answer, and secondly, that even once I got through, I’d have a long wait for an appointment. Neither happened. I was offered an appointment less than an hour later, and to top it off, they actually called me early.

After using the service three times now, I honestly struggle to find anything to fault. The speed, organisation, communication and overall level of service have been exceptional.

It’s rare to use a service and think, “That was actually much easier than I expected.” Every time I’ve used it, that’s exactly how I’ve felt.

Absolutely impeccable service — I couldn’t be more impressed.

There employee prescribed me a medication for my face.

I paid for this medication and it said in upper case "do not use on your face".

Health hero then refused to refund me and insisted that I should ignore the safety warning on the label and use the medication.

So who's the lier, the people that made the medication or the health hero, I'll let you make up your own mind on that.

In reply to HealthHero reply. I am talking to your people, and the advice is still to ignore what the medication says. Don't fake concern online when saying something else in emails to me.

Fast, professional and incredibly easy

The GP consultation was available to me through my Saga health policy. I used it to get a private referral to a rheumatologist.

The Benneden website, booking a GP telephone appointment is amazing! One click and the times & dates were available to speak to a GP at your own convenience, so worth the monthly subscription for this service alone.

Excellent professional service by highly qualified people

Easy to access a professional for advice before actually making an unnecessary trip to the hospital. Also the doctor listened to my symptoms and gave me good advice. I would definitely use this service again, especially when trying to get a GPS appointment is so difficult

I was in pain and needed to consult a GP. I submitted an online request and got an appointment really quickly. Initially I felt frustrated because the consultant was troubleshooting as though the cause of my problem was completely unknown rather than focusing on a specific concern where I had history. I quickly provided additional information and context. Despite this the GP was polite and pleasant. I left feeling reassured with the advice and guidance given on how to manage the symptoms I was experiencing.

A good idea considering the state of the NHS now

Great service and much needed for all sorts of reasons. Good value for money. And great service 👏 👍

I got professional help over the phone and got a prescription which I think has made much of a difference in solving the problem that I had.

GP referred me to specialist care who Identified a brain bleed. Would have been easy to walk away and prescribe painkillers. Treated successfully and I should make a full recovery ❤️

Brilliant service and saved me needing to go to A&E when I couldn’t get an emergency dental appointment when all I needed was antibiotics to treat a burst mouth abscess. Saved me hours of time and saved me adding pressure to a busy A&E system. I highly recommend HealthHero.

Great service with very polite, respectful and helpful staff. I would have given 5 stars but a technical glitch meant my appointment did not show on the list for the Dr to call. I had to make four calls to finally get it sorted. Once sorted, the doctor I spoke with was wonderful and understanding. She made sure I understood everything she told me and asked me if I had any questions regarding the process and the prescribed medication
