Being an older person I found great difficulty in finding
affordable insurance. Prima was competitive
The downside, i was not offered monthly payments

I found taking out a policy easy and straight forward and most important the policy certificate was in a nice large format to read, I had all documents within five minutes

Firstly when i changed number plates I had to pay £25. I've now sold my car, I already had my new car insured with Prima. They don't have the facility to have 2 cars on one policy even when you can only drive one at a time. I've now sold my car and have cancelled my policy which they are charging £50 for the pleasure. The cancellation charge was more than the insurance cost for 3 weeks. When my new car comes up for renewal I don't think I will be going with Prima. Their system should be sophisticated enough for the insured to cancel on line at a much reduced cost.

Got a bit frustrated as I couldn’t discover after I’d read all conditions, how to accept the quote. ‘Chat’ didn’t understand my problem. Later in the day I my acceptance was sorted and I paid. I was just impatient!

I decided to join Prima insurance after being with admiral for many years due to price.
Using gocompare was an easy switch and prices are cheap.
But unfortunately customer service is atrocious. AI chat bots are used and you struggle to get through to a human.
Automated emails which you can't reply to which kept threatening to cancel my policy claiming they had not got my details although I provided all details.
Phone lines are only open Monday to Friday during set hours. Any phone call you make pretty much ends up an automated message saying to try their online whatsapp chat. This whatsapp chat is also a bot.

Atrocious service. I will be cancelling my policy as I don't trust how they would react if I actually needed to use their insurance.

Please note that most the positive reviews are people who have just signed up to Prima and have not had to deal with them for any insurance issues.

Genuinely I would suggest looking elsewhere even if slightly more expensive.

I supplied all required information on the comparison site. Was pleased not to have to repeat everything when I went into your site to complete. Very functional process throughout
