Garbage
Purchased one of these stoves about 5 years ago and can truthfully say they a shocking. Smoke comes bellowing out around the door seals at various time. The bars in the front are completely bent from heat even though only wood was used. Contacted customer services they blamed the chimney. A really poorly made stove.
I purchased a Henley Lisbon 900 stove…
I purchased a Henley Lisbon 900 stove for over €2,100 in November 2020 from a stove supplier in Midleton and paid another €1000 to have it installed.
When lit, smoke leaks through the fire rope around the edges of the glass door. We have contacted Henley Stoves in Kerry numerous times about this issue as the stove has a 5 year warranty. (This warranty is also detailed on the Henley Stoves website). Their sales rep agreed there was an issue and agreed to come to inspect the stove, which never happened. After further calls over 1/2 a year, he agreed to send out a replacement wider fire rope. Needless to say, this hasn’t happened either. We have also contacted the stove manufacturer, Thermofoc, in Portugal. Their only email response was to contact Henley Stoves in Kerry.
I so regret installing this particular stove and advise anyone thinking of purchasing a Henley Stove to give them a wide berth! Buyer beware!

Design of stove is disastrous
Design of stove is disastrous
Grate is only in the middle, ashes needs to be dragged to the centre to allow it to fall into the grate. While trying to do this, ashes flies everywhere. Ashes box very flimsy, hard to carry when full as its so wide and unstable.
Henley Stoves: A Disastrous Investment
I made what I thought was a dream purchase, a HETAS compliant stove from Henley Stoves, but my experience has been nothing short of a nightmare. Two years ago, I was captivated by the allure of a beautiful stove that promised both functionality and aesthetic appeal. However, the reality of my investment has been a far cry from my initial excitement.
Let's start with the positives - the stove looked stunning. With its elegant curves, an expansive window to watch the fire dance, and the promise of ample heat, I had high hopes for it. It was meant to be the focal point of my home, providing warmth and ambiance for years to come.
However, the trouble began before I could even enjoy its radiant glow. Installing the stove was a bureaucratic nightmare, taking over six months due to the complications of finding a certified installer during lockdowns. By the time I could finally bask in its warmth, winter 2021/2022 had arrived.
In autumn 2022, I did what any responsible stove owner would do and had it serviced by a certified installer. That's when the bombshell dropped - the inside boards of the stove were all warped and cracked. My installer informed me that while they might survive another season, it was time to consider replacing them. Naturally, I turned to Henley Stoves for support, thinking that a quality product from a reputable company would be backed by a reasonable warranty.
To my dismay, Henley Stoves washed their hands of the issue. According to their response, the "bricks" were not covered by the warranty. This came as a complete shock to me since the warranty I received did not specify any such exclusions. What's worse, these so-called "bricks" aren't even bricks! They appear to be some sort of fireproof board resembling MDF, which apparently costs a small fortune to replace. If they were indeed bricks, they shouldn't crack so easily in the first place.
My disappointment in Henley Stoves knows no bounds. I had placed my faith in them when I made my purchase, believing I was investing in a top-tier product. Now, I find myself shelling out 56 euros plus delivery every two years just to keep the stove running, thanks to the necessity of replacing these shoddy "bricks." This is neither practical nor feasible.
Henley Stoves' unclear and ever-changing warranty policies are a red flag for any potential buyers. I strongly advise against purchasing any products from them. Consider your options carefully before falling into the same trap I did. Don't let their alluring promises lead you astray; you've been warned.
[UPDATE: In a desperate bid to salvage my investment, I had to purchase a few grog bricks for under 3 quid each. With some elbow grease and an angle grinder, I managed to cut them to shape, and surprisingly, they're working like a charm. This "DIY solution" should never have been necessary with a reputable product, and it further highlights the inadequacies of Henley Stoves' offering.]

Had my 5kw Henley Sherwood installed beginning of Nov, really happy with the stove, decent controllability and easy to use, also very aesthetically pleasing.
Absolutely useless company
Absolutely useless company, emailed several times over a problem with an apolo 5 kw multi fuel stove on full our pet dog was nearly sitting on it, all professionally fitted and bought new all correct fuel used clean flue only problem no heat. HENLY No reply, I suggest you stay clear £1500 wasted.
Got Henley Sherwood 2 1.
Got new Henley Sherwood 21stove installed in January. In no time the riddler wouldn't riddle.Contacted the person who installed and was told to just use a poker. Why put a riddler on then as it's not fit for purpose.A few more niggles and the instruction book is not great. For example it says, difficulty in riddling may be caused by the nut and may need tightened. There is NO nut there ,it's welded in place!!!Definitely wouldnt buy again.
Doesn't send and keeps hold of money.
Bought parts 4 weeks ago
Every day was told it had been dispatched and I'd get my tracking number that day
Eventually demanded a refund
Dreadful Company
We purchased a Henley stove last week from Cormac in MCD Stoves & Sheds based in the Naul, Co Dublin. Cormac from MCD said that MCD were due a delivery from Henley's on Wednesday as this is their delivery day, and that Henley's delivery didn't deliver the goods on said day
. Today is Thursday. Apparently Henley's driver has gone awol and the Henley team can't get in contact with him. According to Cormac from MCD, Henley's aren't giving him any more information.
I contacted Henley's, explained the situation, and I was told that they can't give me any information, and they can only deal with MCD.
Henley's, can you please open up you communication channel and let your customers know firstly- why you didn't deliver the goods on Wednesday and didn't bother to inform your customers, and secondly - what has happened to your delivery driver. It all sounds very bizarre!
For these reasons, I wouldnt recommend dealing with Henley Stoves.
Terrible customer support!
We moved into a house with a new Henley stove installed. It smokes and sets off our fire alarm. Henley says they won't give support because it is the installer's problem but I don't know who the installer was.
They boast that they are Ireland's leading stove manufacturer and winner of 'Irish best managed companies' and yet they take no responsibility and will not help an owner caught in the middle.
