Not impressed - fabric is not the superior quality described and I'm not at all sure that they will stand up to washing or last very long. They certainly need washing because the smell of them is bad - an unpleasant chemical smell. I ordered a medium and that part of it is okay. The fit is good. Overall I am kicking myself for getting sucked in by the advertising.

DO NOT BUY - Drop ship knock offs
Bought a size up as recommended and the legs and arms are too short.
Want to return and get a refund and they refuse to based on their “policies”.
There is nothing special about this brand. The fabric is cheap and the design is poor. It’s a drop ship brand that charges way too much.
DO NOT BUY - they won’t refund your money if your not happy,
Poor quality product and abysmal customer service.

Responsive customer setvice
I mistakingly ordered an item and it was shipped very quickly despite my email saying please cancel. Once i pointed out the 24 hour cancellation policy they immediately refunded me and allowed me to keep the item as they shipped too soon. Very helpful and responsive within hours.

Simply a drop shipping scam
Owner Jessica L found some photos of Japanese clothing, made some fake claims saying it's premium Japanese quality and hand made. After the order, the goods are shipped directly from the Chinese manufacturer to the customer, this is called drop shipping.
Jessica did not even bother to take off the Chinese brand name, address and telephone number. She simply put her fake Japanese brand sticker on top of the Chinese brand but not fully covered.
It has nothing to do with Japan. Such products made in China cost a fraction at the Shein and Temu.
I contacted Jessica to request a refund as she claimed on the website. Rejection! Hence I am here to share my experience to keep everyone away from this scam.

Excellent product and responsive customer service
I was given a bamboo samue as a gift and loved it so much (attractive, extremely comfortable) that I decided to buy one for my daughter. Did so, and then got a pop up for a second one, highly discounted: made my selection of size and color (I thought), and when I clicked on it, it was automatically added and charged to my existing order. The size, however, was wrong and I was given no opportunity to correct. Email from company in response to my request to change size said I couldn’t change my existing order. However, after I pointed out that their website had stated that consumers would have 24 hours to make changes in their order and my request was within that period, they sent a second corrected order. I would have given 5 stars but I don’t like a one button purchase (in the popup) that allows the customer no chance to review before the deed is done.

Where is the Customer Service?
This company touts their outstanding customer service, but I had a problem with my order, and despite several emails to their customer service, I have not been contacted with a way to resolve the problem. The product quality has declined since my first order with them, and the product sizing is not the same.

I must say that the customer service is exceptionally good.
I must say that the customer service is excellent! We, unfortunately, were not completely satisfied with our Samues. A seam came open after a few wears and overall we felt that they did not live up to what was represented. Having said that, a company that stands behind its product the way Himoriwabi does is exceptional these days. We are grateful for the service provided to us and our challenge was quickly and efficiently solved.

I received a pair of their (soft, gorgeous) pajamas as a gift, but it was the wrong size. Customer support replied on a Sunday (!) to help me get things sorted quietly, so that my gift giver doesn't have to be involved at all. Top-notch customer service!

Great Samui items
Using my Samue as pjs really help to be comfortable. The material they use just feels good to the touch and very breathable. I ordered 1 the first time then 2 more the next time along with some harem pants.
People need to bear in mind that the company operates from Japan so shipping will always be longer than normal purchases.

I ordered 2 glasses for our daughter…
I ordered 2 glasses for our daughter for christmas, and she really likes them. The only problem was delivery tracking. Once they got to a US airport, we could no longer track them. They took a long time to reach her, and the delivery service in Dallas could not find the address, even though it is a business. They went back the next day a delivered the glasses. Can thee be a better system for tracking when the items arrive in the US ?

I have spent well over $1000 US and my only complaint is the regular Samue has major shrinkage. My first purchase was unable to be worn after washing. I have since ordered the heavyweight Samue and the Bamboo Samue, and they are both excellent. Major complaint is having to wait a month or more for delivery to the US.
