Hugely impressed with quality of product and service. I ordered alcove shelves for a fraction of the price of other made-to-measure services, and the result has a high-end feel.

A company that believes in excellent Customer Service.
Any query was dealt with immediately, pieces damaged in transit were replaced very quickly. A request for matching paint for touching up scratches was dealt with at no additional cost to me and the same day. Its not often that you receive this kind of 'proper' customer service. A company to do business with and get honest and speedy answers.

Jali delivered my radiator cover yesterday and we were very impressed with the finish and attention to detail. The online design tool is very helpful though I would suggest sufficient attention is paid to the measurements.
Customer Services response is exactly what you would hope for; immediate response and willing to please. We are now ordering more radiator covers for other rooms - we know we will not be disappointed. Thank you to the team at Jali for going the extra mile.

The website is easy to use once you get the hang of it.
We made a few calls to confirm sizes which was worth the time and communication with Ebony and other staff members was excellent, extremely helpful, polite and friendly.

The covers came within the timescale advised, well packed and so easy to install.
The painting service is well worth the extra as we would not have achieved the perfect finish.
These cabinets are by far superior to any we have had previously and look first class.

We will most definitely recommend and will use again.

Fantastic helpful staff, great quality product, simple to put together.
Jali offer a fantastic service for bespoke furniture at sensible prices. You can customise every feature, size, etc on the online design tool - and if you can't work out how, a call or email will get the answer. You can select to paint it yourself - but why bother when they offer a vast range of perfectly factory finished colours? Assembly is straightforward (familiar techniques if you've ever assembled Swedish flatpacks, but much more robust) and the finished item looks fabulous and is perfect in every dimension - we designed it to fit in an alcove and the sizing is within a millimeter. We were advised at time of ordering that lead time was a little longer than advertised, which was fine. When it came to delivery to Scotland, as ours was a large item it was shipped on their superior carrier service (no additional charge) but this did incur an additional week's delay - that said it arrived as promised, was extremely well packed, handled well by the courier and in perfect condition - so overall worth the wait. Would definitely recommend Jali - already planning our next purchase!

We are thrilled with our Jali bookcase and are about to order a second!

I read about the company in House and Garden, and it seemed to be just who we needed to make us a large bookshelf, to fit a particular space, that was as we wanted it and study, but fitted a tight budget.

I was initially keen to paint it ourselves but am grateful for Dave for sending out the paint samples and for his machines for painting it - we'd have never got the same finish, nor ever finished painting it.

My husband and I fairly easily assembled it and we are novices when it comes to DIY.

I looked into a few companies who offered made to measure furniture before I opted for Jali.
My design was not straightforward but the staff at Jali couldn't have been more helpful in bringing my design to life - including accommodating a last minute change!
The final product arrived within the timescale promised and I am very impressed with both the quality and finish of the product as well as the ease of assembly.
I have no hesitation in recommending Jali and would definitely order from them again.

I have bought many projects from Jali over the years and have been happy with what I have received, even when I found parts missing they have been sorted sent out promptly the only let down being Royal Mail with their delivery. I never have a problem with the assembly as it goes together quickly and easy how it should.
Will be buying again in the future.

we ordered a pelmet for our bedroom on 11th may and found it really
easy to do the size and colour we wanted and it arrived on the 20th may,
on the next day my husband started to put it together and before i new it ,it was on the wall looking fantastic.it must have been very easy to put together because he never called me once.we are very pleased and would order again

Having ordered two painted book cases in April, I though after 4 weeks I would check up on their progress. a call to Jali reveals they won't be ready until July at the earliest.
Their website still claims 5 weeks or "a little longer" if you want the product painted. I suggested they should amend their web site as clearly they are misleading consumers with this, as it is vastly inaccurate...trumpeting their improved delivery times...expect over 12 weeks!!!
This is not acceptable. Inform the customers of the 3 months plus wait and let them decide whether to order.

We have been using Jali for a number of years but following a very large remodel project of our home, Jali has been integral to our fit out. Each and every piece ordered (we have ordered more than 90) is precision cut to the exact measurements we provided and this has improved our productivity in putting our built in cabinets together. So far we have installed 5 cabinets with a further 5 to go with all parts from Jali. Can I give a very large thank you to Amy.

I had read about the long wait to receive furniture and ordered a chest of drawers with this in mind. Therefore I wasn't disappointed at the long wait as I had accounted for it. I think as long as you are happy to wait a couple of months then you will be happy with what you receive.
I received my chest of drawers today after approx 8 weeks wait. They look really nice. The only small thing I was disappointed with was there were no holes in the drawer fronts to put your handles on. So I had to get a tape measure out and drill and measure where the 2 holes should go in each drawer. I did my best but one handle is ever so slightly out of line which is annoying considering they cost me over £500.
However, all in all I would use Jali again as I like the finished look.

Having read these reviews before I placed an order, I too had reservations about the delivery times, but their website said that the backlog had been cleared and they were able to meet the two week lead times again. I called to check this before placing an order and I was told that three weeks was a more likely lead time = fine.
However, 8 weeks later and nothing. No explanation, No approximate delivery date offered. Staff couldn't be more vague if they tried. It could be delivered tomorrow it could be another 8 weeks - who knows. The product I've ordered is so basic, I should've just had the wood cut at my local B&Q.

I'll edit this review if my order ever arrives ... but I won't be purchasing from Jali ever again.

We had our reservations about using Jali due to the numerous reviews complaining about the lead time. Lots of people had been waiting for months for their orders, which put us off. I then read that the lead time could be checked on the website so I looked there before proceeding any further. The MD claimed that this year they had “worked extra hard to whittle down an enormous backlog of orders,” and can now offer 2-3 week delivery on the majority of orders. He recommends allowing 4 weeks to be safe and for top coat it may “be slightly longer.” I then called Jali and spoke to someone over the phone who said something similar. So I thought I had covered all bases and placed an order. I have now been waiting 6 weeks and was told over the phone today that my order was due to go into production next Thursday. It has been six weeks and my order hasn’t even been started on! Had I taken the reviews I read as a more accurate estimate on the lead time, rather than the MDs word on the website, or the customer service person over the phone, I highly doubt I would have placed the order at all.
Unfortunately, I don’t think you can trust the estimated lead time given by Jali themselves, but should base your decision on customer reviews who will tell you first hand, how long their job took.

Update: Since posting this review, customer service asked me to contact them (which I already had previously) and they were then very helpful. They kept me informed of the progress of my job and I received it approximately 10 days later.
We are very happy with the units, they look great but be careful if ordering units to go inside. We ordered pull out racks that unfortunately don’t fit as the cupboards dimensions were external and not internal. Also, we ordered the racks so long ago, not knowing it was going to take 2 months to get our cupboards, that it is unlikely we can return the racks for a refund.
Overall, we are very happy with our cupboards. I was also very happy with the customer service I received after posting my review. However, the lead time they told us wasn’t true, waiting 2 months wasn’t satisfactory and the customer service over the phone when enquiring about the cupboards was polite though vague until pressured.
I would use this company again if I was prepared to wait 2 months for my order.

We were very impressed by how easy it was to order the cabinets and how precise the online tool allowed us to be in getting the measurements just right (to fit an alcove). The finished cabinets were easy to put together with full instructions and fittings supplied. The finished articles are sturdier and of better quality than we were expecting, so we are very pleased.

Only reason for not getting 5 stars is that the cabinets took a lot longer to be made than was stated - about double. That said, the customer service was very good indeed, and we were not in a rush, so this was not a big problem for us.

I placed my order for bespoke shelving at the beginning of October and they still haven’t arrived 5 months later. I keep hearing the same old story about next week. I am out of patience.
I gave three stars to be kind. It should be one.
Update: Following this post the unit arrived 4 days later. I have to say I am delighted with it. So, as long as you are in no hurry I have to say this is a great product at a great price.

Only reviewing the waiting time so far. Its been 7 weeks and I have been calling for the last 3 weeks and keep getting told it will be finished by the end of the week and delivered the next week. Just doesnt happen.
It's only for a non painted unit. Got told they wont stop taking orders as they have wages to pay. Total madness. They won't have a business left if they dont fulfil the orders they have quicker. At this point I dont actually believe I will even get a delivery.

EDIT: after posting this they contacted me and now 3 days later I have my furniture that I am very happy with. So thanks Jali for sorting it out.

Quality of product is very good and I really enjoyed the web site designer. But...

Be prepared for a long wait, even if you don't order a coloured finish. My order went in 13 Oct and was delivered 11 Jan. This directly contradicts everything they say about teething problems with the painting process as my furniture was only primed. In December, they even announced a 10 day lead time on the web site ... yeah, right.

Packaging was poor - furniture moved about in its boxes and there was some damage. Nothing I can't cover up, but annoying. They need to better protect the ends of the pieces.

Overall I'm happy with the end result, but I would only recommend with caveats.
