If you need payroll, you need Homebase. EXCELLENT customer service and their chat/help bot is THE BEST I have ever used. Somuch better than our previous company. So glad we switched!

Makes you pay for things you shouldn't have to

Homebase allows time tracking, but it only holds time sheets for 90 days unless you pay at least almost $300 a year.

We’re sorry for the frustration you’ve had around timecard storage. You’re right that on our free plan, timecards are only stored for 90 days. However, you do have the option to download your timecards and save them on your computer so you’ll always have a longer history to reference without losing any important records. If you’d like help walking through how to do that, please reach out to us through the Support chat in the Homebase app . Building the schedule is easy

Building the schedule is easy, team communication is good, but the timeclock kiosk app isn't working for us. It can take up to ten minutes just to confirm a clock in or clock out, and there are inaccuracies in reporting as a result. I have found the employee stats in the app are not always correct.

While we can’t be certain, sometimes these issues can be related to internet connectivity, which may slow down the kiosk’s ability to process clock-ins correctly. I love using Homebase

I love using Homebase. I started by using the timeclock, and now we use it for payroll too. The reason I am giving it 4* instead of 5 is because it takes a long time to resolve tax problems. Hopefully this is a one-off experience, but for now, it's shy of 5*, but not by much!

I love having 1 app for everything

I love having 1 app for everything. It works well most of the time. We've had occasional issues with getting notifications and punching in/out.

Very Poor Phone Support

Homebase app and portal are convenient and easy to use, HOWEVER, and a BIG HOWEVER, when it comes to receiving customer support over the phone, HomeBase is absolutely terrible at that. I would rank phone support from HomeBase as a 1/10, if even that. Today I inquired on the app for support and requested a call that said I should be receiving a call within the next 5 minutes. It's been 6 hours since then, still nothing. And this isn't the first time that happened. Very discouraging knowing that when you need help from the company, that they're not there for you.

Up to date schedules 100% of the time!

I like that the schedule is always up to date in real time and that each employee has it available at their convenience. This completely eliminated the "I didn't know I was supposed to work today" issues.

Ease of setting up the homebase system…

Ease of setting up the homebase system and the apps to use for staff to report their hours. Calculating hours for payroll was easy.
I have retired and my partner student staff has used this app to report her hours
I would definitely recommend this cost-effective system
