Unfortunately we do not share the same good opinion regarding the shopping experience at La Residence.
We purchased a round table from La Residence and had a very poor experience arranging transportation from the UK to the Netherlands. The sales representative assisting us was extremely difficult to communicate with and made numerous mistakes when completing the required paperwork. What should have taken a few days ultimately took more than a month to resolve. We seriously considered cancelling the purchase several times, but we really wanted the table and therefore decided to continue with the order.
Unfortunately, the problems did not end once the table arrived. Within just a few days, white discoloration and patches appeared on the surface seemingly out of nowhere.
I contacted customer support and was told that the issue was “strange” and that we should simply take the table to a restoration company to have it repaired. This left us with the impression that, once the payment had been made, we were essentially on our own and expected to arrange and pay for the repair ourselves.
I also contacted the sales representative again, but the communication was once more very disappointing. Rather than trying to help us resolve the issue, she appeared to focus on finding a reason to attribute the damage to us. She repeatedly took parts of our explanations out of context, despite the fact that I clearly explained several times that we had only cleaned the table with water. When the stains appeared, we also tried cleaning them with a gentle wood soap, but this did not improve the situation.
I am still waiting for La Residence to clarify the warranty terms and to provide information about the exact colour, finish and treatment used on the table, as this information is required by the restoration company to determine the appropriate repair method.
It has now been almost two weeks without receiving a response.
Overall, the experience has been extremely disappointing.
We hope La Residence will finally provide the requested information and clarify how they intend to address the issue under the applicable warranty.

Our Technical Team have been in communication regarding the condition of the table, and we are currently awaiting a response from you to clarify exactly what product was used to clean the dining table. This information is important in helping us understand what may have caused the discolouration and to determine the most appropriate way forward.
As this was an International delivery to the Netherlands, additional documentation was required, which unfortunately contributed to delays in this instance and we apologise for this.
We look forward to receiving this information from you and working together in order to resolve this matter as soon as possible.

I am absolutely delighted with both the purchasing experience and the quality of this ottoman. The ordering process was seamless, and I received clear tracking information and regular updates from purchase through to delivery.
The delivery team were professional and courteous. They placed the ottoman in the room of my choice, unpacked it, allowed me time to inspect it, and removed all of the packaging before leaving.
While this ottoman was slightly more expensive than some others I considered, the superior quality of the fabric, upholstery, and craftsmanship makes it well worth the investment. The attention to detail is evident throughout, and the finished product looks fantastic.
Overall, I couldn't be happier with my purchase and would not hesitate to order from them again in the future.
