Very dishonest charlatans
These people bid in an auction for my Mercedes. I did a video tour of the car with their representative and the car was better then described in the auction. An hour later they phoned me to say they had done special checks and my car had a mileage discrepancy of 50k miles! According to these people the car was recorded as 154k miles in March 2021 but in May 2021 it was 104k and they would knock £1000 off the offer price. I turned them down and did my own HPI check (quite sure the owner who clocked the car would've been in prison and not selling cars) No discrepancies recorded against my car and all the MOTs stack up. How dare these people lie to under pay car owners. How they are still in business is beyond me. I put the car ip for auction with car wow who apparently call these cowboys trusted. Stay away from Manhiem and stay well away from Carwow

The inspection for the return of our leased Corsa took around 45 minutes and we knew there was a scuff on 1 alloy and a scratch on a wing mirror that we were liable for. Upon completion the inspector asked if the car had been resprayed, we answered that it had definately not been resprayed by us and as far as we knew we had the car from new through Leasys. He proceeded to point out 'dirt' in the paintwork on the bonnet and rear wing panel, again we explained that the car had never been resprayed. Today we have received the report and it states that 'The customer refused to comment after explanation of findings', which is a complete lie. The whole experience has left us angry and upset.
Good luck if you are unfortunate enough to have to deal with this company.

Lease car inspected today by Manheim
Lease car inspected today by Manheim. Inspector spent 90 minutes inspecting car. Reported poor repair work to vehicle which I have not had done. On getting car from dealer paintwork was damaged and returned to them for repair. Obviously touch up job or poor work was done and now they are trying to charge me. I have emails to Vauxhall finance confirming paintwork not satisfactory on collection of car 2020. So in effect they are trying to charge me for poor paintwork in car which is in condition in which car was leased to myself. I am currently seeking legal advice regarding this matter

Honestly there isn’t much good about this place,
Management is shocking especially Camberley team leader her team. 9 times out of 10 your running around like a headless chicken, no structure with a get on with it attitude.
The proof is in the retention of staff, in my short but dreadful time at Manheim / Cox
I saw 5 inspectors come and go, all sharing a common problem ( Management )
Diversity is also a huge problem in this company especially in Camberley where I can confirm there is one common ethnic background & age range - it’s an extremely elderly workforce in Camberley especially.
These people are complete scammers my…
These people are complete scammers my car was inspected yesterday and I knew straight away they were going to pick a fault. He picked a dent which myself my wife and my neighbour could not see but he said it would cost £50 to repair. He admitted the car had been well looked after and was immaculate but he was looking for any excuse. These people are a total disgrace and should be closed down.

They should be in prison
Aborted first pickup after 2 mins claiming the car was “heavily soiled”. There was some road dust by the wheel arches which was easily wiped away in a matter of minutes by which time their inspector had already decided to leave 6 mins into a 45 minute inspection. The rearranged pickup was attended by another inspector who just made up issues or found fault at the smallest of imperfections. Examples being, missed service, a tactic mentioned on other 1 star reviews, false claims of a paint respray which I got the inspector to show me, I felt embarrassed for him as he attempted to point out the non-existent “paint drip”. Other faults charged were for blemishes you would expect on a used car. How can companies be allowed to carry out business like this is astonishing, how many 1 star reviews do they need before someone investigates them and shuts them down. This is no different from being mugged in the street.

Don’t fall for this scam.
Would have said no stars but can’t . Be very. Cautious about this company aligned with Auto Trader . A trade cash offer is made after a very slick sales team walk you through the first steps taking a video of the car and stills to confirm your declaration about the bodywork. ID proof sent and then a confirmation of the cash offer is made and a retrieval team are asked to come to your address to pick it up. An ex cabbie will come on his own and test drive it for you and pick up some micro chips on the panels and call this in, a scripted call centre tech then lowers the offer by 20%. Don’t haggle , walk away this is a scam! Just sold my car to another well known web based company for £3k more than they offered.

Avoid Manhein and any lease company that uses them.
My lease company, Novuna, used Manheim as a third party agent to assess and collect my car. They were rude, uncommunicative and presented me with a bill for damage that they considered outside of fair wear and tear that was around 3 times the real cost of repair.

Avoid any dealings with any company that uses this company
I returned my low mileage vehicle to this company after a 4 year lease. To my mind the car was in pristine condition. The inspection lasted in excess of an hour and I was informed I had to pay in excess of £500 for a list of transgressions. This included close to £200 for excessive chip damage and £50 for a dent which I could barely discern
The resultant invoice did allow a fair wear and tear allowance of &150 and the reduced bill was £365. However, the amount for chip damage remained .
When I appealed this amount, stating that my vehicle had a low mileage (7500 per annum) and was garaged overnight. I enquired how I was supposed to drive my vehicle to avoid this damage, particularly in UK roads. I was informed the allowance of 8 (!) chips for forward panels was exceeded and I had more than 4 chips on other panels. The question on how I could avoid causing this damage was ignored.
This is obvious a clear revenue raiser for this company and I would recommend to think carefully about using any car lease company that uses this service.

Today I sold my car to this company
Today I sold my car to this motor company despite initial reluctance due to negative reviews.
However, my experience with them turned out to be quite positive. The entire process was well-organized and everything was arranged in a timely manner.
After driving my car for about 2 miles, they were satisfied with the condition and immediately deposited the money into my account.
The gentleman who checked the vehicle was nice and decent, and the overall deal went very smoothly. I would recommend this company based on my personal experience.

Fraudulent selling of cars with major faults and not visible to buyers. They say they’re Surechecked but I don’t think they even bother. Try and claim and they come up with endless excuses why you’re not covered and customer services is also a waste of time. Avoid Bristol branch unless you have deep pockets to sort out expensive repairs. It’s appalling operation of a business….
Car in great condition but bill…
Car in great condition but bill received for £800 odd for damages oh but they gave me £150 discount. These guys are better than Dynamo. They can make things appear that aren’t even there. “Bolt caps are rusty” really? They are plastic!😂😂😂Full valet required as there’s fingerprints on the back door😂😂Invoice received and I will not be paying a penny. Novuna Leasing you need to find another inspection company as your customer base is going to hit ground zero if these cowboys keep doing what they are doing. If I could give zero stars I would.
Manheim - There to rip you off
My lease ended and Manheim came to pick it up. The car was immaculate after 2 years. Unfortunately these guys are clearly in the game to rinse as much money out of you as possible. They said I have to pay £200 for a missed service even though the receipt was in there for the service - which he acknowledged. But because the mileage wasnt recorded he said I have to pay £200. Plus another £200 for some "dirt under the laquer" which I couldn't see - I think if you rolled a new car off the production line they would find something. Absolute bandits - avoid at all costs

Absolute shambles
What a waste of time. recieved instant cash offer through autotrader. Accepted and sat back waiting for manheim to contact me...and waited...and waited. The Day the offer was expiring I get an email your valuation expires today. Convinced they hoped I would forget and the valaution would then expire. So I call them. they didn't have my full telephone number so couldn't call me. Ah, but they emailed, so why not email asking for my number? Because they wanted the valuation to expire. Spent 25/30 minutes going through the car taking photos with their rep. the phone showed as Money4YourMotors.com. So not Manheim. Anyway was told we'll call you back in about 30 mins. 3 Hours later, They called and said they can't go ahead as the valuation is wrong and put the blame solely on Autotrader. If I want them to take another look I would need to start the valuation process all over again. At least webuyanycar have the decency to shaft you to your face! Probably ok if you want to just get rid and will take any price. If only there was a Zero Stars option.

Absolutely shocking waste of my time
Absolutely shocking waste of my time! Gave me an instant valuation and my car is literally immaculate, not a single mark on it - a day later and the value went down by £7000
I'm not sure how this is even allowed
There is no way that they had any intention of paying the instant offer - it's not an offer; just a completely made up figure. They therefore lie to every single customer and potential customer that they deal with. Any company whose business model is to lie to their customers deserve the worst possible rating and need to be exposed
I challenge anyone to claim that they paid out the instant offer! How is that an offer???

Absolute cowboys --definitely avoid using them. They start off with one offer then bounce you around different departments and keep reducing their offer assuming you'll cave in, making up sales pitch type excuses. Autotrader should be ashamed that they've tarnished their reputation by linking up with such a shoddy and unprofessional outfit as Manheim

Don’t waste your time
Don’t waste your time, other reviews are totally accurate. They’ll make you a good offer, get the car inspected (find everything to be completely fine) and then call back offering much less (£3k in my case) arguing the current market value has just dropped! What, in the last 48hrs since they made the initial offer!? Don’t use these guys, they’ll just waste your time. You’ll get more for part exchange.
Completely useless!

Réponse de Manheim
DISGRACEFUL, GOOD RIDDANCE!
l've had several lease cars over the years from Citroen but this will definitely be the last, the customer service has been appalling, it seems the whole process of leasing is to get as much money as they can from you, especially when it comes to collecting the previous car.
Manheim, cancelled 10 minutes before picking up the car, stating it didn't have a MOT which apparently had ran out the day before (how convenient) having never had to previously MOT a lease car I wasn't even aware it was my duty to do so, especially when nobody had the courtesy to even let me know, I was then informed it would be £170 cancellation fee, disgraceful! The whole process from start to finish has been a negative experience when it use to be so positive, loyalty has certainly gone out of the window!
