I am very disappointed with the service received. When placing the order, a road permit fee is requested and paid upfront, which clearly indicates that the skip will be positioned on the road. However, after payment is made, a confirmation call is received stating that delivery will take 10 working days. What was not made clear at the time of ordering is that the 10 working days does not begin from the date the order is placed, but rather from the date the company confirms that a permit is required and that the skip will be on the road — information they already had from the moment payment was taken. (Would you pay for a permit if you did not need it)( why is road permit needed?) seriously 😟

This is misleading and frustrating. If the permit process affects the delivery timeline, this should be communicated clearly and honestly at the point of order, not after payment has been made. Greater transparency is needed to avoid wasting customers' time and causing unnecessary inconvenience. Mick George please take your team for a serious meeting!!! Please!

I have ordered 3 skips over the last few months as I am clearing a house and Mick George has been brilliant every time. Reliable and good communication. Good value for money ( I have managed to find voucher codes which helps).

I booked an 8-yard skip with Mick George and, before placing the order, I specifically called and spoke to two members of staff, Ed and Billy, to make sure the skip would be suitable for my driveway. I clearly explained that the skip needed to be positioned vertically across my driveway and made them aware of the available space.
Both members of staff told me over the phone that this would be fine. I also made it very clear that the delivery was urgent, as I had someone booked to carry out work in my garden the following day and needed the skip delivered today.
Despite having checked this in advance with two members of staff, the delivery arrived and the driver advised that the 8-yard skip was too large and could not be positioned as I had explained. I was then told that an alternative skip could not be delivered today, leaving me in a very difficult position.
I have now had to arrange a 4-yard skip for tomorrow, despite specifically explaining that I needed the skip today. This has caused significant inconvenience and potentially financial loss, as I have work scheduled and have had to deal with a situation that should have been avoided had the original advice I was given been accurate.
What has made the situation even more frustrating is that I explained during my conversations with Mick George that the situation was affecting my mental health and causing me considerable distress. Unfortunately, I felt that my concerns were not being taken seriously and that I was simply being passed around rather than anyone taking ownership of the problem.
I appreciate that mistakes can happen, but when a customer specifically calls twice before ordering to confirm that the skip will fit, and both members of staff confirm that it will, I think it is completely reasonable to expect that advice to be accurate.
The whole purpose of calling beforehand was to avoid exactly this situation. Had I been told that an 8-yard skip would not work, I could have booked the correct size from the beginning.
Very disappointed with how this has been handled, particularly given the urgency I communicated beforehand and the potential financial consequences. I would strongly recommend that Mick George improve the communication between their office staff and delivery drivers so customers aren't left dealing with the consequences of incorrect information.

The website was easy to navigate and they reminded at checkout that there was a multi-bag discount which was helpful. Also and extra 5% popped up with free delivery too! Perfect! Lead times are good too - all round great experience 👍🏼
