My experience with nucamp was a solid 4/5.
The instructors I was assigned were, for the most part, very knowledgeable and knew what they were talking about. They were also great teachers and explained concepts well (especially in the fundamentals and devops sections).
The midweek lesson content is kind of a wasteland of AI-inspired instructions without much teaching, so look out for that and have your documentation ready!

Honestly, this was still better than going to college and spending $5000 learning more English. I got a decent amount of experience and confidence with backend design (:

Review: Nucamp Bootcamp Experience

I decided to enroll in Nucamp because I wanted to transition into a tech career & It was definitely the right decision for me! The curriculum is well-structured, and the instructors are knowledgeable and supportive. The combination of self-paced learning and interactive workshops made it easy to grasp new concepts and apply them through hands-on projects.

One of the highlights of the bootcamp was the sense of community. The active online forums allowed me to connect with my peers and instructors, making the learning experience more engaging and enjoyable.

After completing the bootcamp, my goal is to continue growing as a developer and eventually specialize in front-end development. Nucamp has set a strong foundation for my career in tech, and I'm excited to see where this journey takes me!

A perfect start to cybersecurity

Trying to learn new things and change of career led me to enroll in Nucamp. It was the best decision of my life because I was so eager to dive into Cybersecurity and learn more about the field. I aspire to enter the market and use the skills that I have learned in a real world scenario.

So far I've only done the 5 weeks of the Python course from the stance of someone that's only done HTML before actively and dabbled into C++ and python barely and not done well/failed. This course and instructor Michael lit the match that started my passion for coding and gave me tools to assist me in my future endeavors. I'm fired up to push forward to complete my project game and think up and work on new projects moving forward on my own!

The cybersecurity course provided a comprehensive overview of essential topics like network security, encryption, and threat detection. The content was well-structured, with practical examples and hands-on labs, making complex concepts accessible. A great starting point for beginners!

I'd been wanting to learn how to code for quite some time and got curious enough to google programs to which I could apply. Nucamp was less expensive than going back to a 4-year university, so it was a great decision that helped me pivot in my professional life. I'm hoping to teach more children how to code once I become proficient.

The Fundamental Web Development class was excellent. I learned a lot about HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap. There was a lot of information to take in, and I know I won't remember everything, but the course taught me how to find the information I need. Overall, it was a great experience. It was a great experience that helped me establish a daily routine and provided a good foundation for the Front End Web Development course. I’m also thankful for the encouraging and supportive environment. I highly recommend this course to anyone who would like a good foundation in HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap.

Nucamp is an amazing bootcamp for the ones who don't want to spend tons of money to learn new career. I have learned a lot of web development in one month! It has opened a new door to a new career! I do not regret signing up for the bootcamp and I recommend any who wants to do Web Development to join!

Upon enrolling in the NuCamp Cybersecurity Bootcamp, I was a little apprehensive as to whether or not this was the right bootcamp for me. I really appreciate how thorough my instructor has been, diving deep into web development and even going beyond the course material. His guidance made learning backend development exciting and rewarding. Deploying my own project felt incredible, and his dedication truly enhanced my experience. Was the Best desicision I made trying the Web Development Fundamentals Bootcamp. Got a taste of coding and loved it. The Instructor provided lots of bonus knowledge and the way Nucamp has everything set up you cannot fail as long as you put in the effort and communicte with them. They will help you learn and more importantly learn how to learn.
The scheduling is very flexible and they will help you if you have reschedule within reason if things come up. You can't go wrong with Nucamp. I highly recommend!

I was led to enroll in NuCamp by, frankly, other reviews of former students who also had zero experience with Coding. It was definitely the right decision, because not only did I meet an incredible team of young developers, but I also made connections with instructors who had been working on these things for years. I'm working on Full Stack, and NuCamp is my choice to get there for sure, at least starting out with the Web Development Fundamentals Course. This course laid the foundation for a long future in Web Development and Software Engineering, which is the goal. The instructor was new to NuCamp, but shared his knowledge with us and was very forthcoming with not only functional solutions, but with shortcuts and hacks that helped us succeed. The course material was intuitive and straightforward and helped us learn while creating, rather than by regurgitation, which I prefer.
The UI of the student site is very pleasant and is clear what each of my weekly course goals are, as well as the objectives of each task and what the end-products should be. The code documentation is updated frequently, as trends change, and the course focuses on the basics, as well as the end-goal of deploying a website.

With any education, the value you receive is proportional to the effort you put in. Nucamp’s flexible online learning schedule is what makes it so great, but it also makes it easy to bluff your way through.

Here are my recommended strategies for getting the most value out of your Nucamp Frontend or Full Stack course:

1. Understand the time commitment. -If you don’t factor in time to practice on portfolio projects outside of the class exercises, you’ll end up having to do it after the course, further delaying the start of your career. I allocated ten hours a week, give or take, and I wish I’d set aside more.

2. Get a head start on JavaScript. -Do Free Code Camp exercises on your phone during lunch breaks if you can before the course even starts, then use the course as a deeper dive into the language.

3. Don’t put off the projects. -Every time you complete an exercise, apply it immediately to your project. If you’re a fan of the spaced-learning method, do it the next day.

4.Once you learn Git, commit as often as you can to fill up your GitHub heat map.
