This was one of the best trips I have ever had. I learned so much of our guide through Japan. Ashleigh was/is the nicest gide you could ask for and she will help you with anything even search things up for you on Google if you want to know somthing other then what she will tell you on the tour. This has been my first experience of a Group Tour and initially apprehensive. But any worries I had immediately dissipated once id met the group and our fantastic guide Ash. She really made the whole tour stress free and easy. Shes an amazing individual and incredibly friendly and social! Always ready with a good recommendation and really made the trip for me. Will absolutely use One Life again and if Ash is your guide - youll certainly be in for a wonderful experience!

I recently completed a 14-day tour of Japan with One Life Adventures, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Our guide, Ashleigh, was incredibly helpful and always ready to assist with anything we needed. Even on long travel days, Ashleigh made sure everything ran smoothly, turning what could have been a stressful day into a seamless and relaxed experience. She was very efficient with timing, making sure our schedule flowed without feeling rushed. Ashleigh was also fun to be around, which made the entire trip more enjoyable and memorable. All of the above remains the same, though I forgot to mention how you sometimes forget you are on a guided tour and feel more like a group of friends exploring.
One just happens to be an expert on everything Japan.
I’ve been dreaming of this trip and still got hit with more astonishment than expected.

Our tour guide was Ash and I was on the ten day tour.
She has been the most positive, engaging, enthusiastic guide I’ve ever met. She has made this experience the best it can be. No matter the question whether ash knows straight away or not she will find you and give you the answer! She will personally put of her way to help you out if your stuck with something or find the best recommendations there are. She is always making everyone laugh and feel included and comfortable with every activity there is.
The tour is definitely something I’ll be recommending to everyone I know and I’ll be sure to book onto another one life tour and hopeing it will be ash again!!!
In the famous words of ash on this trip it was ‘beautiful!’

Ash was a fantastic guide, it felt like being with a friend. She has so much interesting knowledge on Japan. I definitely would not have made it through Japan without her. The tour was a good pace but it would have been nice to stay in some days like Hakone and Takayama a bit longer but that is the nature of the tour, there is so much to do with such little time The free time was great and all of the suggestions that she made were fantastic. Due to my dietary requirements she did her best to make sure I could be included in all the meal activities. I would definitely recommend this tour (I am gutted I did not book the 14 day one!).

I had an amazing time with Ashleigh as our guide. She made sure everything ran smooth and was so helpful throughout. The tour itself was great! Alot to do and see in such short amount of time. Will definitely use One Life again for future travels.

It was a full on itinerary, so many beautiful things to do and see everyday, we definitely made memories for a lifetime.

This 14-day Japan group tour exceeded all expectations! I learned so much about Japan’s history, traditions, and daily life. Visiting temples in Kyoto, the hot springs in Hakone, and the peace memorial in Hiroshima were all deeply moving. The balance of cultural immersion and modern attractions (like Tokyo’s Shibuya Crossing!) made it perfect. Our guide Jordan’s passion for Japanese culture made every day meaningful. Highly recommend this trip for anyone wanting an authentic and enriching Japan experience!

Jordan is a fantastic guide, both accomodating and more than capable of prioritising the group experience. His knowledge of local areas, especially in terms of restaurant recommendations and things to do in the free time were spot on, both capacious in their variety and in terms of his personal experiences. He could find you a fast food place or a high end restaurant in any of the destinations in the tour, he knew all the best photo spots and several uncrowded by tourists. His ability to help us navigate an unfamiliar transportation system was such that in his presence I never truly felt in danger of being lost.
His humour also helped the group gel together very well and he acted as an effective bonding agent to ensure that by the end of the tour I was certainly in the company of friends.
Though at times one could tell that the accomodation has been set up in terms of location rather than luxury I believe that this was the right choice for this kind of tour given how many different destinations we had to hit in each city and how many wonderful experiences and views we could take in. This, one spent little time in your room with the exception of temple stays which were delightfully tranquil.

The only minor criticism I would personally have is I would have liked some more in depth history but since I am currently studying towards a History PhD I see no real way how our guide could reasonably deliver the standard of history that would be to my taste without compromising the rest of the group's interest. Most people are not as interested in the internecine struggles of the Toyotomi clan as I am. As such my critique here should be ignored by all other travellers and is merely to satisfy my own desire for completeness.

Certainly this tour, and it's guide, has included enough of Japan to shake and stimulate my thirst for the country all at once. From the bustling streets of Tokyo to the temples of Kyoto and the mountain air of Takayama, I do not believe my experiences on this tour will be able to be forgotten for a lifetime.

They provided a great Itinerary to see all the Classic Stuff most People want to see, in addition to that, they planned 2 really nice Temple stay's in smaller towns and a overnighter in Hakone. Just got back from the most unforgettable 10 days exploring the Philippines with One Life Adventures, and it was everything I hoped for and more! The beaches, culture, and energy of the group were all incredible – but the real highlight was our guide, Vlad.

Vlad was hands down the coolest and most helpful guy ever. He brought so much energy to the group – always smiling, cracking jokes, and making sure everyone felt included, he went above and beyond every single time, even when we had travel complications from the typhoon. You could tell he absolutely loves what he does and genuinely cares that everyone has the best experience possible.

From private island camping, swimming and snorkelling to trying local food and connecting with the culture, every day had something special. The vibes were unmatched, and by the end, it felt like traveling with a big group of friends rather than strangers.

If you’re thinking about booking this trip – do it! It’s the perfect mix of adventure, fun, and chill island life. And if you’re lucky enough to get Vlad as your guide, get ready for an unreal experience. He truly made it unforgettable. Salamat Po!

Just got back from the most incredible 10-day adventure around the Philippines with One Life and I honestly can’t put into words how amazing it was. From the very first day, everything was so well organised and our tour guide Vlad truly made the trip unforgettable!

We explored so many stunning places, from island hopping and private beach camping to visiting a local school and taking part in a cultural day that was my personal highlight. Every single day had a perfect balance of adventure, relaxation and connection, both with the group and the amazing people we met along the way.

Vlad went above and beyond for everyone in the group. Always making sure everyone was catered for. Always positive, always smiling and always making sure we were having the best time possible. Whether it was rearranging plans around the weather, finding amazing local food spots or just keeping the energy high with his good vibes and keeping the fire in all of us burning, he made every moment special. You can tell he genuinely loves what he does and cares deeply about creating the best possible experience for everyone, putting in the extra effort to make sure everyone had the best time!

I came home with new friends, incredible memories and a huge appreciation for how beautiful the Philippines is 💛

My review of the West Philippines 10-day tour:

From start to finish, everyone at One Life was amazing, but especially our Filipino tour guide, Vlad!

I was nervous to book initially due to complex allergies and dietary restrictions, despite being a somewhat seasoned traveller.

With emails back and forth, the One Life team were helpful, friendly and responsive.
But also once in country, Vlad consistently went out of his way to ensure the food/drink options were inclusive and there were separate plates made up for me!
Even so, lots of the private food options were naturally suitable, despite being in a country where the word 'gluten' doesn't exist!

Our tour group were made up of solos and groups of friends, but immediately the itinerary created an environment where we could all get to know each other.

The tour fit a lot into a short timeframe and although we dealt with some crappy weather and exhaustion at times, it was really well put together and Vlad amended the plans the best he could - the cultural day being my favourite, despite expecting it to be boring! Then the underground river canal/cave being underwhelming, but silliness with other group members made it fun!

I can see that One Life, particularly Vlad, do their absolute best to share their passion with attendees. Of course the experience will always be dependant on group dynamics, as with anything! But our freelancer Lauren, who worked alongside One Life for this, created a WhatsApp group for us a few months in advance, which was such a good idea to start to build connections! (She also helped with my allergies and dietary issues, which was an absolute blessing). I definitely recommend this being continued as early as possible.

Our trip was a bit of a rollercoaster truthfully.
We had to flee early due to an incoming typhoon, but Vlad stuck by us the whole time to ensure we stayed safe. As well as rearranging transport, arranging accommodation and more for us outside of the planned itinerary (including going back to the police station/restaurant for me when my purse was lost whilst fleeing).

What an absolute angel!
You'll see it mentioned elsewhere on here, but he really cultivates a fun, goofy, exciting environment. How the heck he manages to stay out and party with everyone all night, then gets up early morning every single day, whilst consistently bringing such a good vibe and patiently/kindly dealing with our dramas... Is beyond me!
This man deserves a raise (idc how much he earns, double it :-P).

Beautiful locations, beautiful staff (including boat staff/friends of Vlad etc) and some definite memories made.

There are so many travel companies out there, but I'd say One Life's ethos, organisation and kindness shines through.
