Really poor service
Really poor service. Ordered some hormone pills for my daughter for her holiday and whilst the prescription was confirmed fairly promptly there has been a delay sending them out and on querying this as it would mean she missed the window for use we got a patronising response from customer services saying tough luck and if you want us to re issue drugs and collect from a Boots pharmacy (no because you have closed most of them) you will have to pay again. We have ended up having to use Asda instead, quicker to approve, cheaper and available to pick up a couple of hours after approval. I’d recommend avoiding Boots for this service as its not up to scratch.

Average customer experience for a first…
Average customer experience for a first user. I used Boots doctor for an online antihistamine order. I checked the website and said it was dispatched but didn’t receive a confirmation text or email it had arrived. I went in-store to check and the guy at the till said wait for the email. I checked in again the next day and had to ask to check the order even though I hadn’t received the confirmation. It was ready for collection.

Disappointing service and poor value for money
I contacted Boots Online Doctor for stronger hayfever meds, hoping it'd be quicker than a GP. Consultation was fine, but responses were slower than expected for a private service. Prescription was a mess though: despite a text to say it was ready only 1 of 3 items were available, another one was something I could've bought over the counter for way less but they prescribed it anyway, and the last item couldn't be ordered in store yet they refused to reissue prescription for the pharmacist's recommended alternative. Ended up waiting a week for it to arrive by post.
Not the quick fix I was after and not a good experience overall. Some issues were passed off as store-specific but it was Boots as a whole I was dealing with and it made a very poor impression.

Annoyingly bad app
I have Boots advantage card and when I received an offer to buy weight loss medication with 20% discount I thought it was a good deal especially that apparently it also counts towards advantage points. Unfotunately the Boots Online Doctor link to the camera on my computer was so bad that it was impossible to take pictures required. I felt like Johhny Bean trying to get a clear picture on his old TV placing my computer in all kind of positions trying to take the picture that Boots Online Doctor would accept . When eventually my pictures were accepted there was still a problem with my ID as depsite the fact that it was quite clear on my computer camera, as soon as it was taken by Boots app it would become unclear. This is quite an achivement by Boots in getting people annoyed and so I really think Boots should get better programist as I never had any similar problem with my camera when taking pictures for other companies.

Fairly straightforward process during which you upload photos. Doctor diagnoses and offers treatment options. Pleased with my treatment and they do re check after a few weeks to see how things are going .
