So easy! Really fast. There is a subscription but it does say. I got my top up, deleted the subscription.. again, very easy to follow. They aren't scamming (it says clearly every four weeks renewal)

On Top Up provides an easy way to purchase topup vouchers and credit for Pay As You Go mobile phones. We cover all the major phone networks, allowing users to add multiple phones on different networks to their account, and topup whenever they need.
Please note, that any accounts that opt-in to Auto Topup will have their subscription renewed automatically each month, and for security purposes you will need to log into your account in order to apply the credit to your mobile phone.
Our optional Auto Topup service allows users to automatically buy a topup every month, to help ensure they never run out of credit on their phone(s). The Auto Topup service can be started and paused or cancelled at any time simply by clicking a button in the user account area.

I purchased a top up voucher from them…
I purchased a top up voucher from them a few months as my O2 pas as you go top up service was playing up and wouldn't take payment. I was pretty sure this was a one time purchase voucher and was happy with the service and forgot about it. Last month I notices a payment I didn't recognize in my bank account and it turns out they set up a monthly automated payment. Hopefully I can get a refund for months of unused phone credit I haven't used.
Update. I have been refunded for 4 month of unused vouchers, also they have reactivated they vouchers they couldn't refund and the account closed. I give them an extra 2 stars for a speedy outcome.

stay away from this ontopup. You will end up with fake vouchers. Am still fighting to get refund of voucher i bought which vodaphone said the voucher number is invalid.
You buy the credit to top up from the
you go to top up and you stuck in the middle wasting time going back and forth with ontopup and vodaphone. It not worth it. STAY AWAY.

To support a friend from Australia we approached a local phone shop and set up a no cost sim card she could could put into her phone. We then loaded credit to it. There was never any talk of a subscription.
I have now been charges £28 for the last three months. I am about to advise my bank to obtain a refund.

Beware of automatic top up
I paid for a £20.00 top up and was charged a transaction fee of £3.78. Unbeknown to me my account was set up for an automatic top up every month and only found out when the invoice was emailed and payment debited from my account.

Did a £5 top up was not added to my phone
Did a £5 top up. They added £0.94 to it and the top up never went through.
DO NOT USE
Replied to this apologised without actually putting the £5 Credit. Of course I can reach out to them.

Topped up my son's phone because he was having problems. I thought it was a one-off, but apparently it's an ongoing payment, and it hasn't even topped up this time - just charged me, also an administration fee each time. Scammers.

Only discovered recently I've been charged recurringly every month since for that amount but the credit is never applied to my number. There is also an article in the Guardian about them. Avoid them. I've asked for a refund and so will post an update on the outcome.
They seem to rely on people using them as a once off and hope they never notice the recurring charges. Also from talking to the chat bot credit expires if not claimed after a certain amount of time. So I'm £200 in the hole for credit I didn't want and never received. I'm going to escalate this if I don't get my money back.
