So easy! Really fast. There is a subscription but it does say. I got my top up, deleted the subscription.. again, very easy to follow. They aren't scamming (it says clearly every four weeks renewal)

On Top Up provides an easy way to purchase topup vouchers and credit for Pay As You Go mobile phones. We cover all the major phone networks, allowing users to add multiple phones on different networks to their account, and topup whenever they need.
Please note, that any accounts that opt-in to Auto Topup will have their subscription renewed automatically each month, and for security purposes you will need to log into your account in order to apply the credit to your mobile phone.
Our optional Auto Topup service allows users to automatically buy a topup every month, to help ensure they never run out of credit on their phone(s). The Auto Topup service can be started and paused or cancelled at any time simply by clicking a button in the user account area.

Purchased what I thought was a one off…
Purchased what I thought was a one off top up after changing my late husband’s phone to a pay as you go. I didn’t realise I had signed up to automatic monthly top up as this wasn’t made clear. Queried this after the second payment and closed the account which I didn’t know I had opened and still waiting for a satisfactory response

Unauthorized recurring payment.
I bought my friend an emergency top-up when she was in hospital and had no money or bank card. It went through no problem and that was it, as far as I was concerned.
However, on checking my bank account this morning I see that Ontopup has tried to use my banking details to take the same payment again, a month later. My bank says that I have taken out a subscription with Ontopup, which I definitely did NOT do.
I've spent an hour on the phone to my bank trying to get my money back in my account.
At no time did I read on their form that this simple payment was going to be a monthly subscription. They just decided to take it upon themselves to try to scam me out of money.
Disgraceful business practice.
Avoid at all costs, because it seems that there are many many people having the same problem.
